Now I'm sure that I'm not the first person to ask, but I really need help. I only have internet in my mom's room and her tv is busted, so I need to bring in mine every time I try (2 times). It keeps saying that I don't have an IP Address.
If somebody could help me, I would be really grateful blaugh

Do you have a wireless router in that room, or in any other part of the house? If so, what kind is it?

You must mean the Domain Name Service (DNS). It could be a number of things. Here's a link to a page on Microsoft support that might help you. It at least tells you what the problems might be, and how you can solve them. DNS Support
