Eventhough I don't follow NHRA racing as much as I do Nascar, It is still sad to hear about a driverfrom any form of motorsports losing thier life, especially when it's in competition.

I flipped the TV on and went to ESPN just as they showed the replay of the accident. It was ruthless and I never want to see that again. And the fact I saw grown men sitting around a table crying brought tears to my eye. That's racing for you though, you have fun and hope it doesn't bite you.

With each death, comes change. And although it was tragic that he passed away, his death has opened up a whole new venture of safety for the other drivers. Much like when Sr. passed away, there were numerous changes done to the cars and the drivers themselves. These changes were in fact what safed many other drivers lives. Some times you have to take a step back, in order to move a step forward crying sweatdrop . Its the sad circle of the stupidity of man.

When Dale Sr. died, that was when they realized that they needed a new car.
