Ok, as it currently stands...

Three people have read the note in some way: Delaney, Kira, and Des. For clarity's sake, the note actually read (before being smeared and such), "You should come down to the dock of the Courting Maria* at noon tomorrow."

*might not be so obvious, but that's a ship (sup pirates) : p

Currently, it is late night time/early morning. I think most everyone is in the "slums," around the warehouses which would be very close the port.

Regarding the post that caused so much confusion: My character was yelling at Des. She only noticed a figure. You know how from in a distance in the dark you can sort of make out movement? That's all she noticed. Technically she wouldn't have even been able to tell if whoever it was was moving forward, to the side, away, etc. Sorry for confusion caused on my part. I need to work on that.

I was wondering if there are any spots available for a non-thief character.

The character I'm building is one I intend to have sort of evolve as the story goes along. His background is very nomadic in nature, he's pretty much wandering from place to place working to expand his knowledge and hopefully make a name for himself by working for the sake of helping the people in the places he travels. Although he does it in a manner that some middle and upper class citizens wouldn't find acceptable. His demeanor isn't really your typical robin hood or batman-esque type character. He's not all about steal from the rich and give to the poor or help those who can't help themselves. He's out to perfect his skills as a swordsman but would rather be known for doing some good along the way rather than just leaving alot of dead bodys behind him.

He does have some skill sets that can be used for thieving purposes although he's quite unskilled in them at this time and his combat experience would make him m ore of a mugger than a thief if he did try to steal something. I do however think that interaction with some of the characters that are a bit more experienced in this way would provide an interesting way to develop both his personality and his abilities.
