WE BE RANDOMIZING UP OUR FIELD NAO ;O
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
THE DESERT FIELD
Powerful heat lamps, with the addition of the stadium air conditioners set on “hot”, create the authentic heat wave needed for this particular territory. Heated sand stretches from trainer platform to trainer platform. There is very little to no shelter areas in this field, the only things truly to hide behind is a single cacti standing tall near the eastern end of the field and the large boulder of sandstone that lays centerfield. Various chunks of rock and desert plants (far too small to hide behind) are scattered randomly in the sand. On very random occasions, if this field is selected, the scenery will change to a monsoon setting. The ceiling will be closed and the temperature will drop several degrees to a much colder level. Harsh rain-like settings will rain down on the two battling pokemon, causing the sand to turn to mud and the field will slowly start to flood. Movement is very difficult and visually is poor.

((Let's start the monsoon after we send out our pokemon :3 ))
Luna jumped out of the control room and made her way towards the red trainer platform. She didn't particularly like the desert field, but at least it was better than the city streets field. The hot desert air smelled much better compared to the nearly toxic air of the city-streets field.
The trainer fished her pocket for her pokeballs, taking out all four of them. Who to choose?
ChuChu's ball wiggled, causing Luna to grin. "Guess you're up then!"
The pokeball automatically enlarged by itself, opened, and released a bright white ray of light that formed into the shape of a raichu gripping onto a railing.
"CHUUUU...uuu?!?!"
The raichu had just discovered that the rail was burning hot, causing the pokemon to immediately hop down to the battlefield in order to prevent her paws from being burnt.
"Chuuuuuu..." The raichu whined, blowing on both paws to cool them off. Luna chuckled once more at ChuChu's antics as she waited for her challenger to appear.
((Okay, you have to roll a six sided dice on your intro. Person who rolls highest numbah gets to go first ;D ))

This was her first match and even though it wasn't an official one, Cassadaine was still pretty nervous about it, even if she tried not to let it show on her face or in her bright blue-green eyes. Stepping forward, her nervousness finally showed through in the small smile she flashed at her opponent. Taking her single pokeball from the small pouch at her side, she felt it enlarge in her hand before she tossed it up into the air.
"Come on out, Astrel!"
The pokeball opened with a flash of white light before the sentret known as Astrel "materialized' on the field, balancing on his ringed tail.
"Seeeen!" Astrel looked back at his trainer before looking out across the shimmering expanse at the raichu that seemed to be...blowing on its paws. "Sen?" Tilting his head slightly, the sentret seemed a bit confused at the other pokemon's antics but beyond that he wasn't really too interested in his opponent.
Once she was sure her beloved first pokemon wasn't going to cook...too much out there, Cassadaine settled her blue-green gaze on Luna. Clasping both black gloved hands before her she bowed. "Thank you for letting me battle you."

"No, it's my pleasure~My name is Luna by the way~" She mentioned, waving across the field. After she was finished speaking, she realized how dry her mouth was.
Plop.
Luna felt a drop of rain hit her head. Looking upwards, a few more drops followed on her face and the trainer made a realization. IT WAS RAINING! Perfect. She looked back at her opponent. "Let's begin then, shall we?"
ChuChu twirled around in the rain, the sand was a lot less hot when water was on it!

"I'm Cassadaine."
Plop...plop...plop...
A steady stream of droplets hit her head before she shook them off ignoring the fact that her black and silver locks would end up soaked she narrowed her eyes slightly settling them on the field before her.
"Alrighty Astrel! Let's start things off with a Quick Attack!"
The sentret gave a cry as it bolted forward running toward ChuChu it's claws extended.
She was sincerly hoping for Astrel to land a hit, even if she thought the opposing Raichu looked utterly adorable.

"ChuChu! Dynamic punch!" Luna ordered, punching a fist into the air with one hand to demonstrate her order even if ChuChu didn't need it. The other hand was quite busy trying to ward off the raindrops. Visibility was okay right now, but in the next turn, it would probably get to the point where without goggles, it would be impossible to see without getting some water in your eyes.
"CHUU!"
ChuChu ran towards the sentret as well with both of her paws glowing. She managed to tilt to the side to avoid most of Astrel's hit and escape with a light wound on her side. Of course, ChuChu was definately not going to let Astrel get a hit without trying to land one of her own.
ChuChu leapted at the sentret's back with an outstretched, glowing hand, ready to deliver some damage of her own.

"Alright Astrel! Fury Swipes!" Brushing her wet bangs from her face Cassadaine, tried to focus on the battle at hand. She knew that the rain wouldn't end until the battle did, and when that happened she hoped she came out victorious.
"SEN!" The sentret gave a cry as it's claws grazed ChuChu's side enough to cause some damage. His joy however was short lived as he was attacked barely managing to escape but not without some serious damage.
Ignoring the injuries that would no doubt sprout from that hit, he whirled around to lash out at ChuChu with his claws outstretched, hoping to land a strike.

The raichu blinked multiple times, attempting to get the rain out of her eyes. A particularly large and heavy randrop fell on her head. "Chuuuuu..."
Luna was now forced to put both hands over her eyes and even then it was still difficult for her to see the battle. Making out the vague shape of glowing claws, she give ChuChu her next order and hoped it would somehow work out. She believed that her pokemon was flexible enough. "ChuChu, he's coming! Brick break!"
ChuChu saw the blurry shape of a brown thing jumping at her. "Rai!" The raichu sidestepped to the right and used the low visibility to allow herself to miss all but a small scratch to her cheek and immediately followed up with a side chop to Astrel's neck.

The blow caught Astrel soundly and he rolled as the blow caused him to loose his footing and topple into the muddy expanse under them. Groaning the sentret struggled to his feet and shook himself out, tossing water and mud everywhere.
The water was starting to get to him, and it was clear that his fur was beginning to get slightly water logged. Shaking himself again, he almost whinned. "Seeen..."
By now Cassadaine was trying to see just what was going on through the curtain and faintly she could make out two figures out on the battlefield, just barely and she squinted trying to get a better view of the field before making her next move.
"Astrel, Slam!"
Bouncing to his feet from his momentary 'relaxation' on his tail. The sentret darted toward ChuChu, jumping he spun aiming his slightly glowing tail for the raichu's back.

"Chuu?!" ChuChu was hit in the stomache by a random piece of dirt that Astrel had shook free of his fur. The raichu growled. She already felt wet and dirty enough! All fired up, the raichu felt even more eager to beat up the other pokemon.
The trainer's vision was almost completely blinded by the heavy downpour of rain. In between blinking her eyes clear of raindrops, she also tried to protect her belongings from getting too soaked. Hearing the other trainer call out a slam attack, she called out one of ChuChu's moves as well. "Iron tail!"
Somehow managing to hear her trainer's command through her water-clogged ears and see the glow of the tail coming towards her, ChuChu managed to react in time by swiveling around by using her paws as a fulcrum and whipping her hardened tail to meet the sentret's. The two pokemon pushed back and forth in a deadlock.

As Astrel's tail met ChuChu's the sentret gave a slight cry of irritation at the deadlock that formed. Maintaining the pushing and shoving for a few moments longer, he finally jumped back, landing on all fours.
"Seeeeeen!!"
The rain was getting everywhere...she'd tried to push her bag under the small overhand on the platform at her feet but that hadn't worked...And now it had gotten to the point where she could hardly even...see the battle going on.
Squinting through the rain, she focused on the spot where the faintly glowing shapes had been earlier. This battle had to end soon, or she had a feeling she was going to drown in the rain...even though that seemed rather unlikely.
"Astrel, Fury Swipes again!" she called through the rain hoping her pokemon heard her.
Astrel's long black/brown ears were litterally drpping with water, and through it all, the poor little sentret was beginning to feel like a little twig in the middle of a flood...which wasn't far from the truth.
Somehow through his waterlogged ears he heard his trainer's command and bounded toward ChuChu claws outstretched and seeking the raichu's flesh.
