WE BE RANDOMIZING UP OUR FIELD NAO ;O
A large screen towered over the stadium. A spinner with twelve different battle field locations displayed on the screen, waiting to be choosen. One of the trainers jumps to the control room and presses a big green button to start up the spinner. The screenshots of each battlefield light up as they are passed by the spinner. Finally, the light stops on...
THE ICE FIELD
The temperature of the stadium suddenly dropped several degrees (just enough so breath was visual and winter-wear is needed) as the stadium floor shifted for the upcoming battle. The floor was made of extremely slick ice, which would make manuverablity, even simply standing, difficult. Crystal-like pillars reached skyward from the frozen water, reflecting the florescent lights to all sides of the battle-field.

A black haired trainer entered the stadium through the left enterance and made her way up to the green battle platform. As she walked, her body temperature dropped lower and lower thanks to the passing breeze and cold air. By the time she had stepped up the stairs and taken her position, she had goosebumps all over and was sorely regretting forgetting her sweater at her camping grounds.
Luna rubbed her bare arms together furiously, attempting to create some warmth to qualm her goosebumps. Cold cold cold. "N-n-nine!" She managed to call out.
A beam of white light burst out of Luna's pocket, forming into the shape of a ninetales right beside the trainer. "Nine!" Nine rubbed her head against Luna's side and warmed the area around her trainer. Luna's breathing calmed and she gave Nine a pat on the head.
"Thanks." She said to her pokemon with a smile, feeling the warmth linger as Nine jumped over the railing and slid into the field. She waited for the other trainer she had leant Prince to to arrive.
((We normally roll a six sided dice at the beginning of the battle to see who goes first :3 ))

An older teenage girl walked in through the right door. Her brunette hair shined from the reflection of the ice. The coldness of the arena hit her quickly as she was walking, making her quicken her pace to her starting spot. Lenne jumbled her hands around fidgeting for the poke-ball she had been leant.
"Let's go for it Prince!" She called, hoping the pokemon would come out and listen to her. The ball let out a red light, and the pidgeot emerged.
Prince cooed then perched himself upon one of the crystal pillars around the stadium. He looked down upon Lenne, not with disgust, but with a sense of unfamiliarity and prepared himself for battle.

Lenne noticed it was her turn to make the first move. So, in preparation, she closed her eyes and thought about the surroundings.
"Cold... Not good for birds... Hmm." Lenne opened her eyes and looked up at Prince, who was staring back at her, waiting for his move. He was starting to shiver along with her. "Alright, let's go then! Knock that ninetails off it's feet! Quick Attack, go!"
The pidgeot flapped his wings in response to the command then flew off the perch, aiming for the ninetails. He was fast, very fast, Lenne hoped he would make contact.

"Heyyy~" Luna said, giving a small wave to her opponent before focusing on the battle since Prince attacked immediately. Darn, and she wanted to do introductions too. Guess they would have to wait. "Nine! Hidden power!"
Nine's eyes as well as the battle field started to glow. Suddenly, sharp spikes of ice rose infront of Nine, blocking Prince's path. A few seconds later, smaller spikes emerged from the large spikes, making a deadly wall infront of Prince. Sure, Prince could avoid them, but breaking at his current speed was quite hard without teamwork from his trainer and a fair amount of trust shared between them. It was the weakness Luna was planning on picking apart. That and Prince's type weakness.
((Umm...yeah. Obviously, secret power in ice field is an ice type attack, so supah effective x2 because Prince is part flying type= 50+ attack damage :3
I'm going to post secret power rules for you guys...soon =w=;; ))

"Prince, are you okay?!" She stared at the poor bird on the ice with horror. She didn't mean to hurt him, or to get him hurt. Of course this was her first battle, so she was bound to make mistakes right? "Prince, come on! Regain yourself!" Price looked back at the girl and flew back onto one of the perches, dusting himself off.
"Oh, and I'm sorry miss! I didn't formally introduce myself. I'm Lenne, a new trainer. This is my first battle." Lenne gave a half smile, then decided it was best to try again.
"Okay Prince, let's try another move! And this time watch out for that ice! Use Gust!" The pidgeot took notice of her command, and decided to act. Hopefully this time, his attack would work.

"Luna~!" Luna replied to the other trainer in between the two attacks. "And I'm going to be the future champion of this region!" Luna declared, clenching her fist and holding it up to herself to show her bairly contained excitement. "Turn around and use iron tail as a shield!"
The idea seemed quite crazy to the ninetales, but she complied. She was now at least semi-familiar with the one hundred or more ways her trainer used her attacks. Nine layed down and used her tails to spin around, showing Prince a nice view of her behind. Her tails bunched together in a circular shield shape and hardened.
Nine was pushed forwards by the gust and slid across the stadium with minimal damage while the sun reflected off her tails, creating a blinding light towards Prince.
((Using iron tail to lower your defense, no diceroll needed :3
Yes, I have NO clue how this lowers your defense...it just does! 8D

"Champion huh? Goodluck with that! I'll be aiming to beat ya eventually!" Lenne threw her fist in the air to signify her goal of victory.
"Alright Prince, let's see here. What to do what to do..." Lenne muttered to herself as she tried to think of a move, while Prince simply flew around her, staring amused. "Ah, I got it! Let's try another new one! Prince, use Faint Attack!"
With the sound of the command Prince darted of at high speed, flashing as spots of darkness. Hopefully this invisible tactic would give them an advantage.

"Be prepared Nine!" Luna warned, keeping a close eye on the field. She knew Prince could pop up from anywhere at Nine. They just had to spot it before it did major damage and do some attacking of their own.
Nine's ears perked up as she heard the sound of wings to her right. Luna understood Nine's reaction and immediately ordered another attack. "Secret power!"
Once again, the field glowed. Prince had suddenly appeared, slicing past Nine. The quick reflexes of the agile fox pokemon allowed it to duck in time to avoid the brunt of the damage, only recieving a cut on her ear. As soon as she felt pain, she commanded the field to react. Icy pillars shot up all around Nine, waiting to impale anything above them.

"Yes! We escaped that! Go Prince!" Lenne cheered on her teammate as they gained the lead.
Prince had dodged the ice pillars just in the nick of time, avoiding getting hit. The only thing that stirred him was a fleck of ice causing his feathers to ruffle.
Now what would they decide to do? "Alright Prince, lets try that again! Faint Attack one more time!"
The large bird rose high into the air flapping his large wings, once again darting down and moving so fast it seemed impossible. A flash of darkness here, then there. Hopefully they would hit again!

Luna's mind raced to think of a different strategy. This was one of Prince's physical moves, so...hmm...she could try that move. "Nine! Natural gift!" Luna ordered, remembering the belue berry Nine held to plant in the future had electric attributes.
Right after the command was spoken, Nine's berry started to glow. Electricity started to cackle from the berry and stretched out to cover the body of the fire pokemon.
Prince, flying too fast to be able to know exactly what was happening, managed to slice Nine again. But this time, the electricity from Nine's body immediately attempted to hop onto Prince's wing and shock him.

Lenne let out a small scream as she watched the pidgeot crash into the ice after being electrocuted by the fox. "Ah, electrocuted?! Prince are you okay?!"
Prince steadily, regained himself, showing only a little rulffling of the feathers, a few falling out here or there, and managed to work himself up once more, to the top of the pillars. He shot a sort of angered look towards Lenne, whom in return seemed like she was going to cry.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I hope you'll be okay..." Lenne looked down into the ice before her, then back up to Prince. "Come on, we can still win if we try! Let's see. We'll try another Gust!"
And once again, hearing his command Prince rose high into the air flapping his wings at very fast speeds to create a whirlwind to send crashing at the ninetails.
"I hope this works..." Lenne muttered.

"Jump onto that spike with flamethrower!" Luna ordered, focusing on dodging the attack this time rather than negating it. She had a plan up her sleeve.
"Ni."
The ninetales aimed a flamethrower at the ground and flew into the sky, doing a whole flip before landing gracefully ontop of one of the ice spikes she made with her earlier attack. On her paws were trails of flame used to dull the spikes and allow the pokemon to stand without pain. But, the gust attack had nicked Nine on the neck. The wound wasn't very deep, the ninetales had avoided the majority of the attack and the spinning reduced the damage.
"Natural gift!"
Light bursted from Nine's berry as the pokemon opened her mouth to release a ray of thunder that crept its way towards the pidgeot.
