BATTLEFIELD! RANDOMIZE!
The screen flickered in madness as the names and pictures of the fields crowded the screen in a slideshow frenzy. Excitement grew as the pictures slowed and eventually stopped on....
THE ELECTRIC FIELD!
The field became flat and electrical towers were ercted in the corners and in the exact center of the field. The static dischare building can be felt and causes tension to increase. Metal piping floats above the 6 foot tall towers, held up by the static electricity and will sporadically release lightning. Better keep moving!

Jenette clutched the pokeball of her most prized pokemon to her chest and took in a deep breath. This was going to be interesting. slowly she raised the ball to her lips. Giving it a quick kiss she whispered, "Let's do this," and threw the ball out to the field. Immediately a Vulpix formed fromt he red light and stood quietly on the field, her eyes focused on the opponent. Jenette smiled and looked to the trainer across the field. She wasn't going to lose this one.

Lauren looked across the field, then nodded to her luxio. Kiara was fighting on the electric field, so that might be to her advantage.... She gave her human a reasuring smirk and entered the ring.
Lauren knew better than to speak when she didn't need too-- it all came out slurred and almost painful to hear. She returned Jenettes's smile instead.

Jenette's smiled twisted into a smirk and she nodded to her Vulpix. "Quick attack!" She shouted, breaking the staticy silence. Her right hand was balled into a fist, the tension of excitement building in her.
Venna didn't hesitate any longer then necessary. As soon as she registered the command she bolted forward. This Luxio was gonna hurt after this battle was over.

Kiara only had time enough to brace herself before she felt the vulpix rush into her. Shaking off the sting of the blow, Kiara reared herself up to retaliate.
"Kara! Thudder Fang!"
That was her que. Kiara pulled back her lips into a snarl and leapt at her opponent with static criss-crossing her teeth like braces.

Venna didn't need a command to dodge the attack. When she had used Quick attack she had put herself right in the way of the counter attack. Dropping to her belly she tried to roll away but the attack hit her right in the scar on her back leg. With a small yelp Venna jumped up and away from Kiara.
"Way to move V! Now use flamethrower! Keep that Luxio back!" Jenette shouted out.
Venna positioned herself, her tails sticking up in the air while she opened her mouth. A string of fire shot out, slithering towards the opponent.

Kiara took the hit clear in the face, she pawed at her nose to releave the stinging sinsation. The luxio's eyes glinted as the last flame went out. Her tail twiched in anticipation and she waited for an order from Lauren.
"Kara! Taggle!"
Kiara tucked her chin to her chest and hurled herself at her opponent.

Venna was knocked back as the luxio hit her hard in the side. As she hit the ground she hurried to gain her fotting again but the attack had knocked the air out of her. She gasped to try and get her breath back before having to make another move.
Jenette watched as her vulpix got taken out like some football player being taken out before catching the football. She groaned as she knew this would make things harder. "Venna! Quick attack!" She shouted almost in a question as she wondered if her pokemon could handle it.
Venna growled but she nodded in reluctance. Lowering her head she ran at a sprint towards the Luxio.

Three words went through Kiara's head when her opponent's attack connected. Fox...Fast....Damn.... She extended her claws to ground herself and reduce skidding. Shaking the dirt from her coat, she grinned.
Kiara was so caught up in her own enthusiasm, she forgot to wait for Lauren to give a command. Looked like a thunder attack.
A tad perplexed, but not very surpised, Lauren shrugged.

"Run for it V!" Jenette said with wide eyes. It wasn't a very good thing for her vulpix to be in the middle of an attack like Thunder on an electric field. The electricity and static were going insane, little lightning bolts everywhere along with the giant bolts that were coming from the attack.
Venna was struck with several bolts, making her coat stand on end.
"Give that storm a tornado! Fire Spin!" Jenette shouted over the roar of the storm.
Venna concentrated the heat to her mouth and soon a string of fire was winding its way into a deadly vortex. The fiery tornado spun towards the opposing pokemon.

Kiara drew back from the raging fire, and barely made it back in time. The beginings of her mane were singed and the fetid scent of burnt hair clouded her nostrils.
"Wah-choo!" Static fizzed in the air around her face.
"Taggle, Kara!"

This was definately not Venna's day. The attack hit her hard and knocked the wind out of her. Staggering to regain her balance and breath on this constantly zapping field, Venna was able to put some space between her and her opponent.
"Ouch.." Jenette mumbled to herself when her precious vulpix got nailed. "Come on Venna!! Keep your distance and slow that Luxio down with an Ember at its feet!"
Hoping staying away was a good idea, Venna quickly shot a ball of flame at her opponent's feet.

Kiara yowled when the flames lapped at the bottom of her forepaws. She wasn't going to be able to move her feet very fast.
Lauren, wincing as her luxio cried out, gave an order, "Thudder!"
Kiara could stay where she was for that one.

"Watch it V!" Jenette shouted as she saw a bolt of thunder crack close to her vulpix.
Feeling like a lightning rod in the middle of a desert Venna squeeked and ran... anywhere. Was it difficult for thunder to hit moving targets? Just as she was about to turn she was nailed dead center with a bolt, paralyzing her for a moment. After the attack stopped she twitched as the electricity coarsed through her veins.
"Quick attack Venna!"
Knowing what she had to do to win, Venna growled and clenched her jaw.
