I got glasses. Will use them only for playing certain video games, school, and reading. NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!!!! [Will get them in a week]

So, they dropped stuff in my eyes and I can't see for a few hours. [Probably till about 1:40/11:40 gaia time. I tried to read some posts like the Maple thread and couldn't read for the life of me. I thought Meru wanted pirates and thought that I had typed the word "lovin" in a post somewhere.
Not only that, but soon, I'm going to get braces. So I get a full combo of glasses and braces, and the pain it brings better be as good as the reward. [Which I'm hoping is good, as I am told] Wow, I really can't see for the life of me right now. The sun burns like a king-sized whopper on a grill. I like Whoppers. cool
Dod gammit, now I ORDER everyone in the guild to put glasses of some sort on their avatar!!!! That, and if you can't, respond to this thread using XL font! I can't even read what I just typed!!!

I have glasses/contacts and I had braces for four years, so I looked overly geeky. Actually, there's a lot of girls who like geeky looking guys! Do not despair!

I got glasses on my avatar and always have had them.
Glasses are sexy. Wait for the braces to come off, and you'll have sexy teeth too.
It's all part of coming out of the ugly duckling thing. I had to do it too, particularly with my hair.

I have glasses. They help me see things far away. My left eye is 20/20, but my right eye is 20/40...

Braces are hawt! Don't ask me how, they just are. I'm not all that into geeky guys but braces are just smexy.
I am supposed to have glasses, bifocals even, but I lost them.

Glasses are cool in general, actually. Don't feel too bad about getting them. Some people find them hot.
How long are you supposed to have braces?

What a coincidence! I did the same thing two days ago. Couldn't read anything for a couple of hours. I went to the eye exam thinking I was just a bit nearsighted (trouble reading things far away). Turns out I have astigatism. And I didn't find out till I was 21. The heck? I look really really horrible in glasses, too. Thankfully, within the past 5 years they've developed new contacts for astigmatism. Before that, I would have been forced to constantly wear glasses. And it takes me forever just to find sunglasses that look nice on me, let alone regular glasses. Heh.

I wear contacts and glasses.
I had braces for about 6 months. Major suckage.
Happy to be rid of them.

I wear glasses. Because I HATE HATE HATE things touching my eyes. SO I couldn't get contacts, because they have to touch up my eyeballs like it's nobody's business.
My mom wants me to get that there new fangled laser eye surgery thing...

I had glasses for 8 years and contacts for 3. I hate glasses. I got lasik in one eye last summer and am getting lasik in the other one this summer. They had to do them separately because of my abnormally large pupils.
You should definately get lasik as soon as you're old enough. Which is 21. It doesnt hurt, takes like 2 seconds, and you save a ton of money on contacts/glasses plus you can see like 100x better then you can with glasses and like 50x better then you can with contacts.

I know someone, my dad's friend, that got lasik. Now she is blind in one eye and losing the other. D:

And If I had the money (or hopefully, WHEN), I would get lasik like Nymphie there... o.o
It really sucks, since my eyes are *really* bad (er, they're laserable, but my vision is god awful (I think there's a number in there that's over 200 somewhere, maybe even over 400... x_x) and there's lots of water around... I can't really go out on the water, since I can't see, and if I take my glasses, I'll probably lose 'em (or get water and stuff over 'em and won't be able to see though 'em anyways...)
I mean, I can't even sit in my chair and read my compy without my glasses, the distance is too far... x_x
And my glasses are not sexy... @_@

I couldnt get regular lasik because my pupils are too big, I got PRK instead. Which basically means instead of cutting a flap in my eye then lasering it they just laser it straight through. So I didnt have to worry about them cutting somewhere wrong. Just lasering somewhere wrong XD But they have super specific technology so that shouldnt ever happen. Its never happened before at the place I go and they've done thousands of eyes.

Don't complain about glasses before I have to shoot you for being stupid. Glasses are sexy and distinguished, so you SHOULD be happy with them.
