xXAkmonXx If you are a Blood Elf Hunter get a crazed dragonhawk they pwn.
Noooo they do not. They are one of the worst pets in the game at low levels, and even higher up you could do much better with a cat, raptor or ravager. Thats why you never see anyone running around with one. The Petopia site Jeshu linked a few posts up is a great site. I use it all the time.
When you're high enough, go to the barrens and see if you can get Humar. Best cat pet for a long while, at least into 45.

Wolves suck. They have no armour, no hp, no damage, and the only thing that makes them even worth considering is that irrelevant wolf howl thing that does basically ******** and all. Wolves are a 'balanced' pet, meaning they suck at everything. If you want a pet that can take a beating and keep the mobs off you, but of course their dps will be substandard: Bears, boars and turtles are great choices. I personally love boars because they can charge, they're resilient little bastards and they'll eat pretty much everything.
Ravagers and cats, primarily, have the best dps available. Unfortunately their armour and hp isn't as good as a turtle or bear. Raptors I find don't hit as hard but they seem to stand up a little longer. The trouble with ravagers is they only eat meat, and they get really hungry very quick. One of the hunters in our guild who uses a ravager named his 'Eatsallmyfud' ('food' was one letter too long) because of how fast the ravager goes through his meat.
Make a note that pets with caster stats are incredibly shitty and really shouldn't be used if you're serious about being an effective hunter.
