About Ariston

When Wolfey puts up Turp's bio I'll link it here ^w^______________________ Ariston lay by the lake edge staring into the blue depths and dipped his paw in, making ripples. Pure boredom had him seeking entertainment elsewhere today. Taelence was out with Cho, Rose wouldn't be bothered to keep anyone company, and so that left Ariston without anyone to amuse himself with.
"Bah!" he said hitting the water with his paw.
Maybe I'll go star gazing later, he thought. Anything's better than just sitting here.

Euturpe, or Turp as his friends called him, was exploring the outside for the first time on his own. Wolfey decided he was old enough to look around by himself, Turp was glad to be trusted with being out alone made him feel more grown up. As always he had his iPod with headphones, but the music was off and the headphones around his neck. Today his music was the sound of nature all around him, from the chirping of the birds in the trees to the sound of a bored shiney fox slapping at the water.
He trots over to the adult. "Are you bored or something Mister?"

Ariston looked down to find a musically inclined kit looking back at him.
Strange that I didn't hear him walking towards me, Ariston thought. But then again his thoughts had been elsewhere so really, it wasn't surprising. The Mystic had a tendency to get lost in his thoughts and forget that anything else even existed.
He smiled.
"I suppose so," he said politely. "Why? You have some magical remedy that will alleviate my boredom?"

Euturpe smiles as he walks around the rather sparklely adult fox admiring his fur. "I think I just might have something, do you concider music magical?" He reaches his front paw out and very lightly touches Ariston's coat. "You have the stars on your coat, just like Kali has them in her eyes!" He smiles and nods in approval.

Ariston grinned lightly at the kit's forwardness. He rarely met an adult, let alone a kit, who told it like it was. Strange that the Mystic and the Music Man should have similar attributes.
He turned slightly to let the light further catch his dim, sparkling coat. It suddenly lit up like fire and then settled down. He chuckled.
"My Grandfather used to say that I fell from the Heavens. That's how I came to be apparently, a star turned into a fox," he mused for a second. "I think that many things are magical in this world. Music is one of the many."

Euturpe smile widened as Ariston's coat flashed in the sunlight. "I think your grandfather is right!"
"You know music is all around us all the time, people just don't usually take the time to listen." He nods his head sagely and moves to sit by Ariston. "I think everyone has their own song but its hard to find, I still haven't found mine. Im better at finding others' songs." He looks up out of the corners of his eyes at the adult. "Would you like to know yours?"

Ariston looked at the kit curiously. Song?
"I know I have an Aura, but I didn't know I have a song," he said thoughtfully. "Just what might my song be?"
Truth was that Ariston had more power boiling under his fur than most realized. There were times when he could see people's lives stretching out in front and behind them, like it was nothing. Or sometimes he could see what was their heart's desire. He sometimes even saw their exact date of death, an almost impossible feat. But never had he ever seen someone's song.

Euturpe grins at Ariston then reaches up with his front paws up and gently pushes Ariston's eyelids shut. "Music makes much more sense with out the extra distraction of sight, just listen and absorb the words..."
He clears his throat first then hums to make sure his pitch is right then he sings...
"Ive just closed my eyes again Climbed aboard the dream weaver train Driver take away my worries of today And leave tomorrow behind Ooh dream weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh dream weaver I believe we can reach the morning light
Fly me high through the starry skies Maybe to an astral plane Cross the highways of fantasy Help me to forget todays pain
Ooh dream weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh dream weaver I believe we can reach the morning light
Though the dawn may be coming soon There still may be some time Fly me away to the bright side of the moon And meet me on the other side
Ooh dream weaver I believe you can get me through the night Ooh dream weaver I believe we can reach the morning light Dream weaver Dream weaver Dream weaver"
He sighs happily singing always made him feel so alive. "So what do you think?"

Ariston smiled slightly as the kit made him close his eyes. But he obeyed and settled himself to listen to the kit sing.
As he listened, the song presented itself in Ariston's mind until he could clearly see all the parts of it. The notes and lyrics swirled around the two of them, then up and around as if carried by invisible winds. When the last note ended, he clapped his paws together. Ariston was impressed.
"That was magnificent," he said quietly. "Bravo. But you can't sing your own song? I find that hard to believe."

"Its not that I can't sing it I just haven't found it yet." He stands and starts pacing slowly and continues talking. "I think Im like people who are good at giving advice... great at helping others but not too good when it comes to themselves. I know thousands of songs but none of them fit me, I might have to write my own."

Ariston nodded.
"Or," he mused. "Perhaps no song completely fits you because they're all a part of you. I know tons of myths and legends, but not a single one of them solely belongs to me. So I have to content myself with remembering them all."
He thought for a moment about his own revelation. It made perfect sense to him really.

Euturpe ponders Ariston's words."You know, that would make a lot of sense. I will keep looking though even if I never find it, thanks to your words, I won't feel like I failed!" Turp thinks this fox is very wise, he was glad they met. The smile on his face quickly fade when he realises something.
"Oh goodness! Me and my awful manners! Here we have been talking all this time and I never introduced myself! My name is Euturpe but everyone calls me Turp. What might your name be Mr. Starycoat?" He holds his paw out for Ariston.
