How much were you charging before? I say take into account the amount of time it took to make each hat, the cost of the materials, then add 20 bucks to it...

what were you charging before? (I sound like an echo)
and don't cheat yourself on how much effort you have to put into each hat and how much you owe yourself for that amount of time ^.^ How much do materials cost? What are the competative prices in this feild for similar things?
hehe....gir hat...

Wow! I'm really impressed at your new designs!
I really hope you can keep them affordable for the amount of detail you're adding, especially with that awesome Totoro one!

Kellin Wow! I'm really impressed at your new designs!
I really hope you can keep them affordable for the amount of detail you're adding, especially with that awesome Totoro one! They are sort of expensive compared to other ear hats, but Ive been keeping it as low as I can (I would charge less at Conventions I think, because I dont have Paypal fees and the like then) I pretty much keep the price down by buying fabric in bulk when its onsale, and stack cutting the hats ^_^ Wooo! I might treat my self to a humming bird cutter soon (its an electric powered rotary cutter, and you can get the in sizes, Iam looking at ones that can cut about 9 layers of fleece) Pretty soon Iam going to be getting fleece directly from the manufacturer ^__^ Then I will be able to drop prices a bit more (I did lower them recently, since Ive gotten WAY faster at making them) How has the Be Anime end of things been?

chiharu_san5 love the hats!! my machine stopped eating my fabrc the the needle broke and i dont know how to get the rest of it out..so when i was making mittens i used my moms 3o-something yr old machine...it has a belt!! razz but yes congrats^^ I hate it when that happens! Ive started making Ryo Ohki hats (cabbit) and all the layers of fur and fleece tend to break needles off and Iam working with an industrial machine (got it used from a factory sewing room)
