City of Crin

Transportation

Since its imposable to actually drive underground, in the tight curves, heavy darkness, and unpredictable cavework, most transportation is done with sky boards. The items where once used by humans, entertainment mostly, as well as the sport of broqua--which was actually created by the humans, the only touch the hybrids had in it was the small modifications they did. They used the boards, because the texture and volatility of the floors is such a variable. It could go from being flat and smooth, to a sheer drop, to a steep incline, as well as the walls and roof, which sometimes squeezes space enough that even the sky boards have to be taken under an arm to squeeze threw.

Food

Food is grown in underground nurseries. The kind of meat that is eaten is as varied as the kind of meat that humans ate; chicken, cow, rabbit, deer, goat, turkey, and anything else I might have missed, but few actually eat the meat. It is considered barbaric for a Ryoe to eat animal. The elves * depending on who your talking about* usually don’t eat meat, but there are a few who do, the ones who are the largest consumers of meat are the dragonoid hybrids, the Ryoes who are a mix of mostly meat eating animals anyway, and the mix-blooded elves--several types of elves quite enjoy meat.
Fruits and vegetables are grown, but that's a really wide subject so I wont get into that.

Housing

The houses are basically underground mass apartments. There is only one entrance per complex, but this entrance is quite massive: measuring fifty doors wide and thirty high. The stair cases to each door are each encased in a tunnel of an almost unbreakable glass hybrid, they fan out like a spider web from each porch, each weaving threw the other so that there is never a straight walk to the door that you are going to. However, this design is not without its point. Since the stairs are so long and so unstable on their own--like a rope bridge--this netting style keeps it stable in the same way that the woven thread of a shirt keeps the cloth strong. There are always at least a few hundred rooms, always the exact same size, but a " House" size can very greatly depending on how many apartments the Ryoe, elf, or dragon buys. Someone who is really wealthy can have an above ground dome made so they can look out at the sky and earth, but seeing the dead ground and bloody sky wouldn't really be considered a luxury to most.
The thing that the above ground domes are used for most is sky surfing. There are many sky surfing parks for children and adults alike, but since there is no real contact with the sky or its air currents, the air has to be artificially controlled. It is only the true sky surfers that can take their boards outside and test their stills against the air, but even they can only go out after years of adapting their bodies to the outside and getting resistant to the crippling affects of the radiation that kills most. Admitfully, the life expectancy of a sky surfer is shorter then most.

City of Harrenga

Houses

Harrenga is not a housing city, it is a sports city. There are appratments for people staying the night to watch games or go on vacation, but there are no permanent housing buildings. The appartments, however, look very similer to the housing complexes of Crin. The only difforence is that you have to pay to stay there.

Sports Dome

The sports dome is a massive above ground glass dome which can seat thousands and can hold up to ten teams of broqua players. This is where the semi-professional players play broqua, the ones that are good, but not good enough to play in the outside field where there is no protection.

This is also the dome where the five red moon teams come together for the listing games, the games which put in order which spots the teams will play in the red moon tournament.

Sports field

This is where the five teams come together once a year to play the red moon tournaments. It is a massive, roofless field. There are no seating places, as no citizens are able to go outside and watch. There is a stand, however, for the judges, medics, and coaches.

Broqua

Broqua is Harrenga's poster sport, their mascot, so to speek.

Broqua is a sport based around both soccer and dodge ball * kind of an oxymoron concept, but you'll soon understand*
There are two balls in play at all times, a black one, and a white one, one for each team. The goal of the game is to get your ball past the other team's guard, * goalie* and into the flare, * net.* As the name implies, the flare is very much "flared" in its front, and like a funnel, it grows steadily smaller as it goes back until it comes to the tube.
There are two tubes attached to the back of the flare, this is because the ball can go threw either one, no one knows which it will be, and so it is impossible to stand in front of the tube and wait for the ball; unless they are willing to gamble and risk the chance of the ball bouncing, or touching the ground, if they stay in front of the wrong tube. If a ball is bounced, then a point that was earned by scoring the flare is lost.

In the past, that had been wriggled around by people growing smart, having one sky surfer stand guard in front of each tube, but that cheep trick was quickly fizzled out as the rules where changed. Only the surfer who scored the flare can catch the ball from the shoot, no one else. If a team flares a ball five times, then the round is over, and the team with the most flares in that round gets a point saying that they won that round. So obviously, the team that scored the round ending flare would be the round winner.

As for the opponents ball, it is best to stay as far away from that as possible since it is the job of both teams to try and use their ball * before going for the flare* to try and hit as many opponents as possible. There are fifteen people on each team, and if five people are knocked out, then that team automatically loose the round. But going for a tag on someone is a delicate thing, because if the ball misses its target, and there is no teammate behind to catch it, then there is the risk of it "bouncing." There are five rounds, and in the end, the team with the most won rounds is the winner.

Broqua matches are played in large, above ground domes to protect the players, but that's only because there are only five broqua teams that are strong enough to withstand surfing outside.

* Nano team (( mostly pure blood elves))
* Rast`thar (( all dragonoid players))
* Aeugoe (( a mixture of elves and Ryoe ))
* Rayoe (( a less than unique name for a less then unique team of strictly ryoe. This is a team of horrible cheats and liars. They have been known to spy and steal the ideas of others In order to win ))
* L.U.N.A.R (( This is a team for elf, ryoe, dragonoid, basically anyone can join if they are good enough ))

It is when these five teams come together that the great red moon tournament is put into action. This tournament is not meant to be a spectacle sport, in fact, since it is played outside, the only ones who can really watch anyway is the people keeping score, the people making sure the game is being played fairly, and the people there if an " accident" should happen and medical help would be required. Everyone else has to watch it over TV
((What allows them to go outside when everyone else must stay in? You ask? Well that would be thanks to this nice little chemical cocktail, * holds up fist sized bottle with lime green liquid in it* It is called Liphith, and it is because of this that their bodies are able to withstand the radiation of outside. They take a nice swig of it, and it makes a natural chemical in the body that protects the blood from being contaminated. If they drink to much? You ask? Well...then their blood would turn to acid and they would die...very painfull, and I wouldn't recommend making your character attempt it ))

The Sub-District

This is the deeper levels of the cavernouse realm, the the darker, warmer, more dangerouse tunnles where criminals and those beond the hold of law go and thrive. In the sub-district is where the fight ring is held, its where the dirty surfing games are played, and where gambling and working in the blackmarket is a livelyhood. It is a place hidden from the law, in such an intraquite twine of tunnelwork, that only the people who live there know how to reach it.

The surface

This is the highest level in the realm one can reach. Its also the hottest. There are no trees, no grass, no shrubbery. The forests consist of long, leavless, and in most case, branchless trunks of petrafied wood, a once proud forest that now no longer even provides shade. Mountain ranges no longer show green of clinging trees, but brown and grey, dirt and rock.
The lakes and rivers are volotile, swimming in one without protection would be suicide. Surface waters, even oceans, show orange of both reflection from the red sun, and toxins. The vast majority of the surface is sand and rock, a virtual desert, even the northlands of snow have melted to rock, or retreated into the ocean where they originated. Because of this lack of snow and icecaps, the water level is record-reachingly high, most of the islands and paninsulas are underwater now, as are once low level lands. Because of this, the surface world is smaller then the humans would have remembered had they been alive.

The Chasms, or more commenly known, The Depths

This is the depths of the realms too hostile for most sane people to consider living in. Its the deepest, the darkest, the lonelyest, save for the undesirable beasts which make its caverns home, and furthest away from the sun, its the one with the moat bearable temperature. Thats the only plus it has for it. Very few people know what it looks like, and those who see it, are never lucky enough to find their way home to tell the tale.
