 It had been so long since the last time Amarantha could remember being out alone in the bright sun and warm breezes. She had always been with her friends or siblings. Being out independent like this was a new concept one that she wasn't quiet sure how or why but it seemed to empower her in a way. She shook her short mane and ruffled her wings. She hadn't learned how to fly but it wasn't a bad thing she liked the feel of the grass passing through her hooves the wind through her hair that could only be felt when on the ground. Letting out a whine she rushed forward letting the warm breeze carry her mane and tail behind her in a shimmer of a display.

 Aku welcomed the cold. Winter and Autumn were his favorite seasons.The sun was shining brightly, days were getting shorter, and it still felt a little chilly, nothing that Aku couldn't handle, he was used to the chills of the two seasons.
Aku set out to collect some wood, for the fire near his teepee, and hoped that bansha kept his primes to whatch the fire.
The river near his teepee had frozen and sadly he couldn't swim in there anymore.
He eventually arrived in the woods at the bottom of the mountains.
There he saw another blue figure,a mare,a beautiful stranger,
was she mean was she nice, in her face he could not tell.
He just treaded carefully past, so as not to disturb her.

She had heard someone come up near her and then in a slowly and deliberate pace he seemed to move past her. From a subtle glance she could tell he looked like ice, but there was a warm air about him and he was handsome enough. The sun seemed to play with the lightness of his coat. She wondered what he had wanted, or if he was one of those that just like to parade around others. Stopping and turning fully to see him she smiled softly. Well atleast someone was around to talk to. Walking over gently so that she didnt startle or scare him she smiled cheerfully and greeted him,
"Hello I'm Ama...who are you?"

Aku would have liked to have pretended he didn't hear her but it's rude and it's no use now, she couldn't be that bad if she said hello, Aku turned head to face her,he smiled gently,and swiped his front left hoove on the cold floor,"Hello Ama, my name is Akuba, but you can call me Aku, I'm am just another soquili who lives close by here".

She tilted her head slightly as she heard the stallion speak. Akuba, she thought that was a nice name. She thought perhaps his voice was cold when he spoke but that could have been because he was leery of strangers. But whatever the case she smiled softly and nodded,
"Pleasure to meet you Aku"

The mare spoke kind and this encouraged Aku to talk more.
"The pleasure is all mine, so Ama what are you doing out here alone, you should be in the warm,"his northwestern english accent came through.
His long tail dragged on the ground, it used to be a bother, he used to trip over his own tail, he sometimes still does, which made him look like a klutz.
Aku examined the mare, nice wings, grey-ish-black, white and yellow tips,
turquoise fur, yellow-ish stripe running down her neck and under her belly,
grey-ish-black fur on the legs, with white hooves that disappeared into the snow, just like his did, along with the tip of her tail, it was long black and of course had a white tip and her mane was of a medium size, with a white stripe.
Blue eyes the same colour of the tropical seas.

She tilted her head back the other way. She could tell he was sizing her up but for what purpose she was unaware. She smiled softly at his comment and giggled,
"Ah well you see I had come out to just see everything in a new way. My mother and sister were at home and I didn't feel like bothering them so I came for a nice walk through the forest here. Where I happened upon you."

Wow are so lucky to have a family, my family....,"his speech trailed off,
"Anyway I was out her to collect some wood for my fire, the winter days seem so short and cold and there isn't much do and the summer is the complete opposite",He nervously laughed and wiggled his tail.
"Maybe a big pile of leaves would burn better, non non, they'd burn too quick, do you have anything I may help you with?"
Aku's ears perked up.

She watched the odd stallion seeing the sadness in his eyes and face when he spoke of family. She could tell that it was a soft spot for him a worrisome spot perhaps. Then his voice picked up as he spoke of fire and leaves. She wasn't sure what to make of this stallion let alone what to make of any stallions. Hearing his question she giggled softly,
"Oh well...I don't really have any need of help...but if you were in need of company I would be willing to join you on your quest for wood or leaves...whichever you did prefer."
