My band is a bit of both; we get a lot of our styles and traditions from O.S.U.
I personally like the corps style better; Very asymmetrical; and you can watch the same show over and over again and not get bored because you always find something new to look at

Show style has it perks; with having multiple pauses and chances to put your instrument down; plus its very crowd pleasing at football games; but I cannot wait until I get myself well practiced, in shape, and save some money so I can join a local DCI band

My high school got a new band director in '06, and he's trying to slowly change us into a corps style band, but with a few show band customs

our town is full or people who like symmetry, loudness, and flashyness
so we can't go totally corps

We are neither show or corps style. We get several compliments from people.

MVHS Grad speaking on behalf of my MB years. For my 9th and 10 grade year we were very stylish and placed pretty high most comps. After we switch to Corps style and started getting less people (23) crying We didn't place in one FS and got 7th place at our last FS. Didnt get to go to one because of the fires. So I'd say both are equally good
