There had once been a beautiful glade in this part of the Mountians. Resting between two stone legs where a waterfall pitched out of the walls. There had been trees, lush emerald green grass and the water had been like diamonds. Now it was a wasteland. The trees were rotten and dead, the grass shrivelled up, brown and missing in large patches. Water was thick, brown slag. Fish floated on the surface. Nu'man drank in the scent of rot and death. Ah, such sweet perfume. He pawed at the ground, grinning as the ground became bloodstained and crumbled into sand. "So much beauty here..."

She didn't often come out to the dead lands, enjoying life amongst the living more often than not... But she was older now and there were some things that she had yet to explore; some places that were beckoning with the scent of darkness and the allure of the unknown.
She had learned to hold her own and in doing so she had gained her right to continue wandering away from her parents... And her siblings. Staying with them was just so... Confining. It did nothing for her image... Nothing at all.

The Kalona padded away from the water with a snicker. It was so much fun destroying beauty. He shook himself off then froze. There was a scent on the wind. A mare... He grinned, baring the white fangs. After so long a mare would grace his presence.
Nu'man checked himself over. Pelt clean and wings clean. His tail and mane looked good, there was nothing on his face... He was looking his best. Now where was this mare?

She spread her wings, letting the seemingly delicate webbing flex and draw tightly as she stretched. It was so... So... Quiet. "I could get used to this." She smirked, drawing her wings tightly back against her body before turning to make her way deeper into the dead wood. She could explore this area for hours before it was time to find somewhere to bed down for the night.

"Well, hello." A gray form ghosted out of the shadows. The stallion glanced over the mare, eyes lighting up. Oh beautiful... "What brings you to this area, my lady?" Nu'man paced forward again, arching his neck and tail.

Glowing green eyes gleamed as she turned her head to glance over her shoulder. "So much for peace and quiet." She smirked, giving her head a light toss that sent the tail ends of the black fabric wrapped around her neck fluttering. She was still young enough to believe that her cocky arrogance would be accepted by all. It had been so far, so why not stick with what worked?
"My hooves bring me, as do my wings... And what, pray tell, brings you?"

"Beautiful sights." He smiled at her. "And I behold one before me." Eyes trailed over the black clothe again. The wings and red pelt... Mm, she was beautiful.

"Mm... And you know what they say about beautiful things, don't you?" She smirked, almost looking coy as a lock of her mane fell along the side of her face. She held that pose for a moment before giving her head a toss, settling her mane back into its proper place as she stared full on at the male. "They're usually deadly."

"That's what makes them all the more beautiful." He grinned widely, teeth flashing. "I am Nu'man," The Kalona sank into a regal bow. "Might I ask the name of the lovely visage before me?"

"Malison." She smirked, giving her head a toss that sent dark mane fluttering against her neck as her tail ticked back and forth behind her. "I've been told that I'm quite the curse... Not one to make pretty company of. All sorts of trouble seems to follow me... Mm, but I'm not one to complain about that. It makes life interesting, don't you think?"
