So. There is a pretty cool art scene going on here in gaia :: there's those who make art, those who buy it, and those who think about making it. There are a couple gaia art fags right here in this guild. (art fags is a loving term) But how do you guys feel about art in real life?
Are you a patron of the arts? Wanna share any cool artists you've "discovered"?
Me. I've always wanted to purchase arts, but it's hard. I haven't even done it on here, because I waste my golds on items. My mother purchased me an original dr.suess print. I really want one of his "paintings". Those are much darker and moody. I went to art school, and I don't even have any of my friends' art. oh well.

Art whore on Gaia and IRL XD I love everything about it. Huge fan of Dali, Giger, Escher, and Kincade(I have a reprint of Cobblestone Mill). I've got one painting done entirely in spray paint that I love X3
The only art form I've ever been any good at was the potter's wheel. It's been a couple of years since I was on one.

You know what's kinda funny. I went to more art galleries when I was living in San Diego, then I do here in nyc. There's almost too much.
I've got to go get breakfast now. I'll finish my thoughts later. I'm too hungry.

Beyond Birthday had the eyes of a shinigami since he was born. He knew your name before you said it. He knew the time of death of every person he met.I love art but as of now, I don't have any extra money to buy it or anywhere to put it really. I'm waiting till I get my own place. This weekend I went to Seattle this weekend and went to Pike's market. There were a shitload of art and artists there. But I had no money xD I am, however, going to get a hat from this one guy who (duh) draws on white trucker hats different designs. I love his style <3 I'm going to see if I can get a Mad Hatter+ Chesire cat one. He said he does custom orders online, but I'm dense and can't figure out how to do that. I will figure it out though >.> For the trucker hat! Even though I don't like those hats xD I just love his style too much. Er, anyways. His stuff. ...I hardly need to explain just what effect this would have on his personality.

Yeah. I mean some art is so expensive. But people are branching out to make it more affordable. Like that dude. (rad hats)
I've been thinking about screen printing tote bags or maybe some other random stuff... and selling it on the street.
I found this one dude that I really liked, but I forget where I wrote it.

I think putting art on something people can wear or use is a great idea. People are more likely to buy if they can get more use out of it, and plain/basic items like totes, hats, etc are pretty cheap.
You should post it if you find it xD ...I hardly need to explain just what effect this would have on his personality.
