[PRP] First Impressions? (Valar, Tiaret, Kosomot)

The fiery stallion had been watching the Kalona filly for some time from a perch not to far up. Since she had entered the mountain paths of his home, in fact. Though he had not felt the need to expose his presence at this point and time. He would have rather watched her. His daughter.

Ever since the foals had been born, Valarauco had stolen away Kosomot in fear that Zulimar would indeed devour him. He had no thoughts against the fact that indeed she probably would. And he needed to preserve his line anyway. The fillies would be fine with their mother for the time being. But apparnetly that time being was a short time as Tiaret was wandering around on her own. He had expected that Zuli would run off, so he was not surprised that the filly had come to find him. But what of the other? His children were resiliant, the stallion was sure. And he figured the other wouldn't be too far behind this one.

Kosomot had been stalking behind the path Tiaret had been walking. It hadn't been too long since his father had brought him up into the mountains finally instead of leaving him hidden in the valley below. And he had learned the paths well. Taking to this new surrounding like a fish takes to water.

He was practicing his hunting skills. After a few short hunting sessions with his father he had become quite the rabbit and deer catcher. Something Valarauco could be proud of. And even now he refused to let his father catch things for him to eat. He'd rather do it himself. This was just a fun little exorcise.

Flicking his slender tail side to side, Kosomot slipped in between shadows and small crevaces to hide himself. Peeking around corners quickly as he watched her. She seemed vaugly familiar really. Perhaps she was one of his sisters? Or another family member. Though he hadn't been tought much about the other half of the famliy. He at least knew he had two sisters anyway.

Pulling back from the edge of the cliff, Valarauco made his own way back towards the tops of the mountains. Back to his own area of caves and paths. He had spotted Kosomot following Tiaret not too long ago but for a moment he'd lost sight of the colt. The stallion figured eventually his son would meet up with his daughter. Kosomot had been intent on almost pestering every living creature that walked the mountain paths.

He'd bring her to him soon enough he was sure.

Of course, running about in the mountains had given Kosomot a sense of superiority in knowledge of where to go, where to hide, where all the best caves were. And it made him smirk a little as he watched his sister take the harder path while he walked a path much easier for foals it seemed. Or well--at least for him. He watched Tiaret as she jumped from path to path, shaking his head lightly.

But as soon as she looked up towards the small cave, he knew where she was heading. To the little small cave that wasn't too far away from his own path. If he was quick enough, he could get to it before she did and hide inside. Maybe give her a little surprise.

Luckily for him, he had made it to the cave before Tiaret had. And he quickly slipped inside. It was awfully small and not too much room for turning around in. Probably just something to spend a night in without having to worry about something sneaking up behind you. Nothing for a long term home.

Red eyes peered out into the creeping darkness that soon approached the mountain side. Kosomot's eyes narrowed into slits as a shadowed figure soon made its appearance at the entrance and a small smirk curled his upper lip upwards. The tip of his tail wiggled with an almost humored excitement. Like the end of a rattlesnake's tail as it readied to strike.

Kosomot flared out his wings as far as he could in the small cave as Tiaret came charging in at full speed. His tail snapped against the rocky wall as he readied himself for the offensive. Lowering his head so that his small rounded horns were pointing at the filly's chest, he lunged forward. Aiming to bump her in the chest. Or wherever his head butt decided to land.

It was hard to see in this small space. The darkness seemed a lot more--dark with the two of them in there.

He felt the filly's body fall back, and so in loo of that he too took a few small steps back. As many as he could without running into the back of the cave with his rump. Lowering his head again, he lunged forward. The crack of horns rang out through the darkness of the cave as he collided with what he figured was her head as well.

"Heh, seems your tougher than I thought." Kosomot growled lightly, pushing harshly forward with all the strength he could muster into his back legs. Locking the muscles in his neck to keep from having his head snapped to the side.

The colt let his entire body weight sink into his legs, using it as an anchor of sorts. Locking his front legs, he could feel her sharp hooves strike at them but did not call out in pain. No, he couldn't do that. His father had taught him never to do so, especially to a female, no matter who she was. One had to be strong to survive!

"I'm plenty smart!" Kosomot kept his head tucked in just a bit, trying to keep any blows that came from hitting his chest and being buffered by the horns on his head. "I learned everything I need to know from my father." A small, devious grin came to his lips as sharp little teeth slipped out from beneath his upper lip. Coiling his body back, he jumped forward once again for another head butt to his female adversary.
