Three days after Zeus had split off from her Chaka was STILL wondering how in the hell it had happened. How did he manage to talk her into that?! Damn it, she was supposed to be smarter than that, yet one minute they were traveling together with respective distance, and the next he was gone, leaving her alone.

She still couldn't believe she'd thought Zeus would stick around, but the speed he'd dispatched with was shocking.

The lioness wasn't in the best of moods, but not quite angry either she just sort of wandered the lands in a daze. She still had a quest to finish, but now she wasn't so sure if she'd ever find her name. She'd have thought it would come to her by now, but there was no inspiration yet, divine or otherwise. What was she supposed to be looking for out here?!

Eztil had been having what he liked to believe was a very, very pleasent nap. He woke up slowly, still full from a meal that he and Tia had stolen from some poor shmuck.... now where was Tia? He opened his eyes and looked around, sitting up. She was gone. Well, that wasn't exactly suprising for him. She came and went as she pleased. He never really expected her to be there when he woke up, and she expected no more from him.

Either way, they would meet back at the tree by noon at least... they never said the words, but they both seemed to know the routine by now. It was odd to have a routine... it certainly wasn't trust, but it was an odd partnership. He wondered what Tia was up to... so he got up and stretched out, humming to himself.

"Well now... I wonder what today shall bring?" He thought, humming and hawing over what he would do. So many options really... even without Tia, he was an expert at conning other lions... but what could he really do before noon? It was already getting late... but he was certain he would find ways of amusing himself. After all, he was a lion of 'class' to a certain degree. There were plenty of things for him to do... or at least there would be as soon as he found something to do... that he would still have to work on.

Chaka grew a bit wary when she picked up the scent of another male lion. She was beginning to think that maybe she'd had her fill of those and didn't want a run in with another but, the wind shifted again, likely carrying her scent his way now. Maybe she could manage to go around, but it would be nice if he could point her towards the next available water source....

"... Excuse me, sir...? Would you be able to tell me where I can find some water, around here, by chance?"

She risked, ears swiveling to perk forward at attention in hopes of catching the answer that he'd hopefully give.

Eztil blinked slightly, turning his head as her heard a female voice which did most certainly not belong to his partner in crime. He turned his head slightly towards her, and then he smiled, a bright charming, albiet tired smile, "Oh... of course miss. So sorry... I just woke up..." He yawned, taking a deep breath, stretching out again and standing, "Just let me get my barings..."

He noticed the female was wary... but in the end, that always made the con so much more fun. Gaining the trust... then destroying it. There was something comforting in that. Though... he had yet determined exactly what he could get out of the female. She didn't look particularily special... but then, so often lions could be more than what they seemed to be.

"Now... let me see..." He said, looking around lazily, "Ah yes... it's this way. I was just about to head there myself." He smiled a little, shrugging helplessly, "Sorry, but may I accompany you? I do hate to be a bother, if you'd rather be alone. I can wait until you're done."

"... I... guess that would be fine...?" She replied uncertainly, unsure about being around this male more than she had to... Just a feeling she got, really, but it would be rude to judge anyone based on that, so she pushed it to the back of her mind and ignored her intuition for the time.

Drawing close enough to follow with a bit more ease she indicated he could and should lead the way whenever he was ready.

"Thank you... I appreciate this."

"So, why are you traveling alone miss? It does seem dangerous, for a young lioness, such as yourself." Eztil was the essence of politeness... but he was probing. Did she have something of use? Something interesting? Information he could steal? Really, knowing whether or not a lion had something he wanted or not was half the trick.

It was a shame he didn't have Tia... with females, it was always more useful to have another of their gender. It tended to make the lion look more honourable and trustworthy... Still, if Eztil played the gentleman, he was certain he could work something out. That was, if she had anything he wanted. If not... Well, he'd just have to decide when it came to that. He doubted violence would be needed, she was just a girl. And if he didn't take anything, would it even matter?

"Oh... I've always traveled alone." True. "It can't be all that dangerous... I've seen plenty of others doing it, and it's not as if I'm helpless."

She restored a bit of her own confidence by reminding herself of this fact out loud. Sure, she didn't have the same fighting prowess of someone in constant scuffles, but she could fight by instinct, and common sense. That should be enough right?

Well, probably best still to just purposely avoid those kinds of situations just to be on the safe side, but it was good to know as a backup plan!

"No, no I don't imagine you are." Eztil laughed, watching and assessing as best he could. Not out and about too long, he supposed. She would have known better if she had been, "Well, I've run into plenty of dangerous creatures out here... I always worry to see someone without a friend." He mentioned, kind in every sense.

"Have you traveled long? By yourself?" He asked her, tilting his head to the side, curious. Oh yes, so very, very curious, "I've been on my own since..." He looked thoughtful, "Well... Rather... I had my sister, so I wasn't alone, but I traveled very young." He said. Best not to lie too much when acting out a con. Then one didn't need to fall back on a twisted web. Stick mostly to the truth. Leave out the parts that might make him seem suspicious, leave in the parts that made him sympathetic.
