She had been acting weird, he huffed as he dragged a fairly large carcass as he walked along, the drape over his eyes for the sun was still setting, it was nearly dark now, and this would be an ample meal for them all he supposed. Though all of the girls were acting strange now, Kyra seemed more distant, Karndess and Rellik seemed to converse on their own, and Yorik..Yorik, something was different, it was eminent in her scent, his stomach had turned once of twice at the thought of what it might be, but it couldn't, it wouldn't...it just, ....no.

Something in the wind though, something strange caught his attention as he drew nearer to where he last left them all. How many days HAD he been gone for? He quirked a brow seeing Kyra outside the den, like..a guard, peering around he did not see Yorik, and Karndess and Rellik were in the far distance sparring (he could see their silouettes).

Where was Yorik?

He had a bad feeling.

Absolutely exhausted. Heavy, audible breathing. Cries of pain muffled by her paws as the contractions grew worse and worse. Beside her were two balls of fur, the first was a male who looked like the father and herself, more so herself. Beside him, to her surprise when she emerged, was the silver color of a female that could only resemble her beloved brother; Iorek. Judging by the contractions and the ones prior, there were more to come... a lot more. Where was their leader? Were was the others? She could smell Kyra, the one whom she had a bad relationship for a long time and there she was, the only scent that was there.

The female let out another cry, letting it ring out into the air for anyone to hear. She could not bear it much more, she had to let it out at the very least it made her feel numb enough to alleviate the pain.

He was right, I-I wasn't ready for this... but I'll be damned if I let him down... I won't disappoint him, I'll-

The ebony female screamed out another time when the next life passed through her and onto the ground behind her. Already exhausted, she wasn't sure if she could take too much more of this, but her will pushed to her to keep going. She picked up the third cub, a face much like her father's and placed her with her siblings before the next contraction came.

"K-Kyra, w-where is he!? Do you see him!?"

She called out, hoping she would hear her.

"When he gets here... I am gonna show him what I can do, I will ghost him, bring him back, and take him back there myself if he misses this!"

Since her time here, she had grown to become a more powerful and cunning lioness, capable of doing what she said (exaggerated)... but she can only doing so much when she was pregnant.

Kyra was loyal, she did hate, she did betray, but she did not abandon, no, her brows furrowed as she though, tried to muffle out the screams of a comrade. No, SHE would not abandon, not like he had abandoned her once before. he would come back, or she would find him again and ghost him for sure for quitting out on them not too long ago. He was acting like the scum of the savanna, like a merc, running when he got the chance when the slightest bit of danger was on your tail.

Kyra turned her head, glanced into the den, could not see far, and called in, "He'll come back, if he doesn't Yorik, I'll shiv his tail, we can both ghost him together," just that statement would hopefully bring across some peace between the both of them, Yorik had to know by now how much Riddick meant to her.

Something in the distance caught her attention, approaching, and she saw a beast of prey drop to the ground, "a meal? You left for a MEAL?!" Kyra rushed at him, and he didn't seem to care to move, she tackled her weight on his letting her claws graze his flesh, "YOU b*****d! You get a whiff of something and leave for THAT long, adn come back with a meal? You get your tail in there NOW before I drag you in myself!" Kyra glared daggers at Riddick, his eyes hidden behind the cloth.

He was hoping that he wouldn't have been seen, hoping that they would be asleep but no, Kyra got to him first, and damn, she was angry, and blunt. The smell of blood was in the air and Riddick knew why Rellik was keeping her distance, why Karndess was with her to keep her at bay. He wouldn't say I'm sorry, h couldn't bring himself to commit such an act of weakness, he just hoped that, Yorik would be alright, that none of them would die...

"Get off," he said gruffly, pushing Kyra off and making his way to the den. He was dirty and smelled like a hunt, "Yorik?" he called as he stepped inside, removed the cloth form his eyes and tred closer. Others brighter hues were at her side, tiny, suckling even, and he felt his heart soften at the sight.

Riddick had...children?

Could he say I'm sorry to her could he? "Breath Yorik, deep breaths, don't you dare stop breathing on me of them," he said as he made his way to lay down behind her, put a paw on her side for comfort, whispering in her ear, his breath warm, "Breath for me."

The commotion outside, it was loud enough to get her attention off her contractions. Her breaths were softer but still hard, her body squeezing and contracting worse and worse. She felt like an elephant had stuffed itself inside her and wanted to get back out. She had often joked with herself that she just wished these cubs would go back where they came from, but she would not wish that on their poor father. To hear Kyra's voice and defensiveness was reassuring that there was some sort of bond between them. Yorik was about to speak out to her to prevent her from harming, or worse, killing, the father of these cubs, until his voice rose from the fray.

"Riddick...."

A wave of relief washed over her as the contractions soften for a moment before coming back as strong as before. She grave a soft mew and squeezed into her body.

Relieve the pain, sustain it, I will not show weakness to him-I cannot... I...

The ebony female gave out enough cry. Her emerald eyes hidden behind closed lids could not see him, but the sudden touch made her smile. He came back... Riddick came back... But...

Yorik cuffed him softly then licking him, just for being late.

"What do you think... I've been doing?..."

The mother gave another cry as another cub pushed through her and into the world. The cry of a newborn joined that of... her siblings. Finally, she could rest. No more contractions. The only pain now was the soreness from it all and it was nothing compared to what she has been through before. She leaned back against Riddick, letting out a long and well-needed sigh.

"Three girls... and... a boy," she panted softly, nuzzling into his wonderous mane. "Please... you name them, father."

Kyra let out a sigh as she was pushed aside by Riddick, what they had between one another was complicated, and to just be pushed aside for him to go to another female was still hard on her but she understood, Yorik had been with child, now they were born into the world. Cubs, Riddick's cubs, Riddick and Yorik's. That tore at her, from the inside, of anyone, she would have wanted to bear his cubs but...things seemed to have changed.

Pushing herself up, her ears fell back as she moved herself to be away from the den's entrance somewhat, laying underneath a lone cicada tree she peered towards the den as it grew darker and darker.

Their family, not hers.

He felt a pressure against his side and he chuckled at her movement, it seemed she had grown stronger regardless of her physical health..situation. Sorry, could he say it? It still tore at him deep inside. He purred low and gently rubbed his cheek against her own, letting his tail tangle with hers. "You did wonderfully."

Daughters, he..had daughters?

Crap, he imagined back to when he had been around Jack when she was young...he would be in it for sure, out-weighed by gender now in this group but, a son, he had a son.

"You have some say in their names as well," father, he was a father? He looked to teh wriggling balls of flesh and fur, looking at the oddball, he leaned over Yorik's back to sniff at her, a female, a girl, his daughter, "Shirah, it was the name of the Goddess of my pride," or what had been his pride before it had been decimated.

He looked towards another cub, another child, touched his nose to her fur, took in her scent, she had her mother's mark, "Giza’Vermaak," the child of course was born of a certain kind of darkness...

"Name them," he said pulling back, looking at the remaining two, another daughter and his son.

Hopefully Yorik would understand by his letting her name his only son, that he did indeed care for her greatly.

It was wonderful to have his touch again. It was wonderful to hear his voice. It was wonderful to, amazingly, pick out his scent from all this blood. How she could have fallen for a male who could vocally say 'I love you', she had no idea, but she was damn glad she had found him. Strong, protective, and a wonderful fighter... but the ultimate test of any male was to come; fatherhood. Though, she wasn't going to have him carry the weight alone.

The one whom resembled her twin, Iorek, was named Shirah, the name of the Goddess of Riddick's pride... oh, what a fitting name. She wished she could see her eyes, who's eyes did this little one have; Riddick's or Yorik's. She watched as her love reached over and touched another female giving her a rather strange name; Giza'vermaak, but she trusted him that he had his reasons. He was the leader.

She sheepishly reached down and nosed the last of the three daughters, licking off some of the residue, her grey fur was definitely going to turn black like the others, but what stood out to her were the faint white markings of her father. It made her smile as she whispered her name;

"Aereon... that will be this little one's name."

Yorik chuckled softly and looked down to the last member of their new family... Riddick's first born son. Emerald eyes turned to him and blinked in question. Was he certain he did not want to name him? This one must have been most special, isn't it the son who had the closest attachment to the father? If she was going to name him... she was not going to disappoint.

"His name... I would like him to be known as... Domnikali."

Three girls. One son. One father. One mother. One family. A bigger group.

With the labor done, the naming done, she rested up against him and smiled.

"Now that they're out... it means I cannot become pregnant for a very long time..." She let out a soft purr and rested her head against him. "So no more accidents... okay?"
