Okay, I'll bet most of us are familiar with the scripture that says that people are given weaknesses so that they can be made strong. How do you overcome yours?
For instance, I am usually pretty good about studying my scriptures, but for the past 2-3 months, I've barely picked mine up. The problem is, that I have this reading schedule, and I feel like I have to catch up. Can't skip ahead and just be where I should be, I have to read everything I've missed. (I've tried just moving to the right spot, and I have a spiritual meltdown.) Once I get far enough behind, it takes too much time to catch up, so then I start avoiding it. (Just like everything else that seems overwhelming.) Today, I have the opportunity to take 6-10 hours and catch up (should be awesome), and that will get me back on track.
Now, how would you overcome the problem of just avoiding things that overwhelm me?

I wish I could say I have overcome my weakness. I know that I need daily scripture study and prayer to keep spritualy strong, but I just can't form the habbit... I'm in total disdain with myself, and the window for my mission is closing fast, noting scares me more

i felt the same way for a while, i just hadn't formed a good habit of reading my scriptures, and then i decided to change it and just picked them up for a couple minutes a day which started growing into more and more minutes and now i read my scriptures daily. and it doesn't matter that you fell behind you just have to keep on reading them and don't try to read so much or so fast that you miss the meaning that you need to get from the scriptures you read.
