AIM LOG: DragonsRage24 & iPao v2 He'd gotten a little taller, and a bit more of his mane was coming in, as was apparent in his reflection against the surface of the water. It was strange, really, to see more of his soon-to-be mane. Especially since it had little streaks of black scattered across it. It wasn't like any of the others in his family, at least from what he's seen. Aeonus was the only other with streaks, but they were gold and quite obviously from their mother. Which brought him to the question...where exactly did he inherit his looks? The juve raised a brow at the thought, then broke the surface with his paw. "Pointless to ask..." he said with a sigh. "I've never met anybody from either of my parents' families..""Stop it Ryujin! No, no, HEY!" she called after her pure black pelted brother, chasing after him and tackling him to the ground, both of them sliding to a stop in the dirt next to a tuft of grass by the water hole. "Don't you DARE run away from me again Ryujin! I'm only trying to help you!" she said with a huff, not moving from laying on his back, he was wriggling beneath her weight, she was pinning him down. Dumb brother, why did he always try to run away when things seem to get a little tiny bit tough for him? Mommas boy, she wanted to break it. "Listen to me..." Kai demanded."No, Kai, lemme go I want to go see m'" but he was cut off , pushed to the ground and sent sliding, his maw was pushed into the dirt and he pushed up to release his face from the ground. Sticking his tongue out he seemed less amused, "Kai, don't! Whats hte point? You adn Ka will be fine, you already made me promise to not ell mom, just let me go home to see her, I want to try adn make her smile. Please Kai, it won't do any good," he was trying to be nice, polite, that was him What Kai and her twin wanted from him seemed irrational and impossible. Why did she care so much, he liked his life here...The sound of something plowing into the dirt caught his attention, breaking his current flow of thought. Ra, of course, was quite grateful for it, and went ahead in the direction of the sound to see what was going on. As he got closer he smiled when he found that it was Kai that was responsible for the interruption, though it seemed it was someone else's misfortune to have gotten their face...nearly planted into the dirt. So with a chuckle and shake of his head he padded over to her, eyes darting here there ocassionally to see if Ka was around, preparing for some sort of ambush. Glad to see that the twin was around, Ra took a seat beside his friend. "Hey you," he greeted, then looked down to see who she was lying down on. He'd only noticed when whoever it was hit him lightly with his tail with all their squirming. "Who's that?""Shut up Ryujin!" Kai said while putting a paw on his head, pushing it down into the dirt again, "Don't you say that when you are around me, you know better! Take it back!" Kai had an inward hate for her mther, just as her twin had. To hear that Ryujin wanted to make her smile was beyond her thoughts, dumb brother, dumb stupid cub! Even though they had all grown a little bit, Ryujin still acted like a helpless mother infatuated loser cub. Kai caught the movement of Ra and smiled at him, keeping her spot on top of her brother's back. "This, is the pest, who I'm TRYING to teach how to sneak around better, but noo. He wants to run back to MOM!" she said that word with anger in her tone, and she pushed on her brother again. "He just won't listen, doesn't understand what Ka and I want him to do, how are you though Ra? We've...I've," she wanted to say missed him, but would that show a weakness?

"But Kai I just hmyph," his face was in teh dirt again, and he heard Kai introduce him, pest? Ka called him that, and his ears fell back, he didn't want to be a pest, he wanted to be a good brother, a good son, but Ka nad Kai's recent plans made him think otherwsie, put him in awkward situations like this and he was told to not say anything to mom or aunt Nix or their cousins. Why the secrecy, shouldn't they know? "Cran yum get her offa me?" Ryujin asked Ra, not knowing who he was but hoping he might help, one silver eye shut tight while the other looked at Ra's eyes, "Prease?"
Ra looked down at the poor boy beneath her and laughed a little at her introduction. "Maybe he seems a bit less like a pest when he's lying down in the dirt like that," he replied with his usual grin. "Nice to meet you pest." He smiled at his flattened figure, then turned his attention back to Kai, who currently...didn't finish her sentence. Quite naturally, it quirked his interest and he poked at her shoulder. "You've...what?" he asked, brow raised. It was a little unsettling to see Kai a bit unsure with whatever she wanted to say, so it kind of worried him. Ryujin interrupted though, and he looked down at him, thinking his request over carefully...then sighing exasperratedly. He knew Kai wouldn't want to, too intent on breaking his habit. The only reason he even considered helping was so he and Kai could talk properly without all the squirming and noise..so he lightly tapped Ryujin's face to get his attention. "If she gets off, you can't go home until she says so. Otherwise, I tackle you." Ra looked at Kai and smirked. "And I'm a little heavier than she is.."
"Well, I've," she looked down at Ryujin and bopped him on the nose with her paw, frowning at him, "Missed having you around, being around the family is so annoying sometimes, especially with this one," she rubbed her paw against hte fur atop Ryujin head and smiled. Yea, she ahd missed Ra being around, but again, she didn't know if mising him would show a weakness in her, and if Ra might be disappointed with her actions. Kai smiled at Ra, and pushed on Ryujin again, "You hear that? I get up, you get up, if you run, Ra catches you and he can sit on you and everything, and I can help him to, now you better be good or you can eat dirt again," Kai then pushed herself off from Ryujin and dusted herself off, flicking her tail. She sort of struck a pose, as if showing her newy grown self off to Ra...silly thoughts in her head. "Your mane, it looks...nice." she said with a smile, pawing at hte ground. Yea it was...nice. Nice on him.
Ryujin pushed himself up to stand on his paws and his ears folded back as he looked at Ra. Though Ryujin was the olest, it was obvious he wasn't the strongest out of everyone, even his other two sisters seemed to be quite stronger than himself. he sighed, spit dirt out from his maw nad took a few sips of water from the watering hole to get the horrid taste from his mouth. "Is this Ra?" Ryujin said tilting his head to the side. THIS was who his siblings thought would want to go too? Pfft. "Why not just take Ra instead of me? You and Ka don't need me to go Kai..." he said again, taking a step back, hoping no one would notice.
The newly grown juve smirked when she did finally finish her sentence, the worry leaving him. It was a minor thing, to have missed his company. Quite honestly he'd missed her too, but he half-hoped his smile would've been enough for her to realize that fact for herself. Ra laughed a little when she finally got off of her brother, noting that she sort of struck a pose, perhaps for his sake...it'd been a while since they last saw each other. Seems she'd been growing too. "Thanks..." he replied on her comment about his mane. At least she liked it.. "It's not really a mane yet though.." Then once more, Ryujin interrupted them, and he grunted a bit irritatedly at the the all-black pelted juve. He noticed the step back, being the rather sharp one that he was, so he nonchalantly got up, making it seem as though he just needed to stretch his legs and walked around, subtly moving toward him. Meanwhile, curiosity gripped him as soon as Ryujin had finished his sentence. Were they...leaving? So he looked back at Kai with an almost-frown. "Are you going somewhere with your family?" he asked her, though his attention had to be split between the two at this point. He wouldn't let this one run off..

Kai looked at Ryujin as if she wanted to beat on his little face for saying something. She was going to ask Ra and didn't need Ryujin messing it up. "Well, no, not exactly, I was going to tell you about it," she said sitting back on her haunches, lokoing towards pride rock. "My mother may find this place as her home, but Ka and I can't stand being so close to her, we ehard stories, of this pride by a desert somewhere, where the lions and lionesses are strong, mostly red and black and white, or gold yellow colored, brighter than the pridelander color orangeish. We thought we might go there, and have a better life then whats here," Kai then looked to Ram her shoulders slumped forward a bit, "I want Ryujin to go to, but he needs work, and I wanted to know if..you might come with m-us.." no me, dumb Kai, what are you thinking?!
Ryujin hunched down on the ground. he didn't understand why Kai wanted him to go, just cause he was the oldest, or what? " Sorry Kai," he didn't mean to interrupt things and make them go out of order. He sighed, lokoed towards hte water, Kai and ka might not like it here, like their family, but Ryujin was quie content. "I told you, you don't need me..." he said matter of factly, why did he need to go? He liked it here, this was his home.
By now Ra had settled himself quite contentedly beside Kai's brother, just to ensure that he could catch up should the other make any unnecessary moves. His attention, however, was already fully focused on Kai, brows furrowed. He couldn't quite wrap his mind around the idea of leaving the pride...not just yet, but he understood her outright dislike concerning her mother, and he knew she wouldn't back away from the decision. He could hardly stand the place himself, actually...and with her and Ka leaving, it was unlikely that they'd ever see each other again unless he went with them. Her little slip-up at the end of her final sentence was enough to convince him though, and he sighed.
"My dad told me stories of that pride. They seem a little...harsh.." he said. "But sure, I'll go.." and he hesitated a little, still unsure about it. "If you really want me to, I'll go for your sake...you know, since you asked and stuff.."
Then he looked at Ryujin, a frown on his face. If Kai wanted him to go, there had to be some reason...whatever that was, he'd ask later. But he grunted and dropped his paw on the other juve's tail. "And what if she does?" he asked him, voice regaining its usual, rather authoritative tone. "You can't do anything for her if you're all the way back here, you know."
"Yea, but what I've heard is that hteir harshness comes from their want to be strong...also," she said in a low whisper, "Supposedly, things have gotten better, I think, ether way, if we were turned away from them, we could aways find a way to find our place, I just don't think my place is here..." she pawed at the grass before her, "My mother has dne things, and my brother and I ahve seen them in our dreams, horrible things, and this," she said pointing to the mark upon her shoulder, "Makes her apprehensive of things, of us. My brother and I dreamed the other night that she might try to hurt us Ra, kill us even, I don't want to stay here... something about Ryujin too, he looks like someone, someone my mom knew before..." now Ryujin would know too. "I want us to be happy, safe, my sisters, htey are safe with her, neither of them bear the mark on themselves, one of them has one similar, but it is not exact, so she is safe..." she looked towards ra, gave a smile, "It would mean alot if you came as well, we could both find where we belong...it still needs planning, training I think, but I think it could work."
Mother, hurt...him? Why did Kai and Ka get these visions, he was the oldest, he got strange fashes of silouettes now and then, but nothing so exact, to...percise. His ears folded back, no, it could not be, mother would never hurt him..would she? Aun Nix would protect him, them all, they were close but...his mind boggled. Daemonascus, his cousin, they looked alike, mom had a strange fondess for him...they were nearly exact of one another, just the eyes were different..the eyes...his eyes were his mother's eyes. Things began to click, and Ryujin considered the plan more. He looked to Ra, then Kai, he was her older brother... "If...if, I get better, and thigns go well..I might go with you but...I want to find out on my own too..." he looked to Ra then, blinked, "If I didn't go, would you take care of her?"

It was still a little strange to think of actually leaving, even though he always told his parents that he would eventually leave the Pridelands. It didn't feel too much like home to him either, save for the fact that his family was situated there. That was the only reason he considered actually staying even when he was older. But now...it was different. He thought long and hard about it, but not a single part of him wavered, so he nodded. "Alright then." he replied to her, finality in his tone of voice. The he looked her straight in the eyes, a sort of reassurance to tell her that he wouldn't change his mind unless she did. He didn't want anything to happen to her...or her brothers, for that matter. And if ensuring that meant leaving, then he'd do it.
He glanced over to her brother for a moment, glad to see that he wasn't completely ruling out the possibility of leaving with them now. It must've been hard for him to say, from the sound of it. The twins always did say that he was a momma's boy, so this was probably a hard fact to take in. Then came his question, and he blinked. Was it even a question? "Of course I would," he answered back, a hint of anger in his voice. He felt almost insulted...almost.
"Alrght then," kai felt better, at least her heart did when ra spoke his words, Ryujin to. There was hope, now at that was left was the final planning training, having everything come together. "Ka had some other ideas, to get us ready, he's working on catching an avian for us to use as a possible messenger to the rulers of the pride, we cna work from there," she said with a smile, hope, excitement for what their future held. Yes, this would be a beginning, a beginning of glorious magnitudes for them to fufill. Yes...
Ryujin heard the tone in Ra's voice, lowered himself further to the ground, it was obvious he would need work,. He gave him a smile though, smiled at Kai, though he hadn't fully agreed, he wondered what might change in the future, all he knew it that he had to keep his mouth shut, or he'd get a face full of dirt again.
