"Tobin, what were you thinking, leaving the desert like that?" The pretty brown wolf smiled as she playfully chastised herself. She wished Rohan could be here to see all this. She had broken the forest line not long ago, and the cool darkness that the trees provided was amazing. She felt lighter, and it seemed that there was a cool breeze playing a bit above her head - something that the desert clearly lacked.

She looked up, lifting her head to see the tree-tops better. This place was amazing! She had never seen trees like this before, and the rich colors of green and brown had been lost to whites, and other blinding shades of sand. Even the trees were lighter colored and usually had - not leaves - but prickly clusters. The she-wolf chuckled to herself again, thinking of her brother she left back in the blasted desert.

"Oh!" she exclaimed. She would never have a pelt full of sand anymore! How delightful. It was impossible to lose her smile today, as she carried on through the woods, unaware of where exactly she was headed. Anywhere was better than where she had come from - though thoughts of her brother still nagged at her mind. Maybe someday she could talk him into joining her in this beautiful place.

She wondered briefly if she would meet any other wolves. It was still mid-day, though she felt like it was growing nearer to dusk. It had been that way out in the desert. Hot as the sun during the day, then it got cool and almost froze during the nights. To be in the coolness of the forest during the middle of the day was new to her, but it was welcome. Maybe other wolves were asleep, though?

Blank strutted along in his normal carefree manner. In hadn't been long since he had escaped his life under the two-legs rule. His scars where present because of them, yet he thought nothing of them now, the pain of the injuries had long since subsided, now he just enjoyed being his own wolf for the first time.

He had eaten not long ago, a merger meal but he was not use to hunting, food usually was provided by the two-legs, but he would get the hang of it. He always did. He was surprisingly large for male, but he had been well looked after to extent by the two-legs, he had been used to fight the smaller huskies the two-legs also used to pull them and thus had been favoured with larger portions of meat to bulk him up. He could remember the jeering noises the two-legs use to howl as they fought and how they argued amongst themselves. But he was free of that now.

The shackles clicked softly as he walked, the noise meant nothing to him now, they no longer held him. His rich brown coat shifted with his motions and strong muscles powered him, he pounded the ground without a care in the world, until he caught the scent of another, it was a female, now that was something to make him smile.

He looked about to suddenly cast his amber eyes on the soft brown female stalking through the trees in front of him. He grinned, baring a few of his teeth and swaggered over to her. His deep, rich voice dripped.

'Good afternoon my lady'

He bowed his head, but lifted his eyes to stare up at her, a mischievous grin playing along his mouth.

Tobin slowed considerably when she heard the voice of a strange male near her. Funny, she had just been thinking of meeting other wolves when this one showed up.

Stopping and turning to face him, she smiled. He was handsome, though marred by horrible scarring and a torn ear to boot. The metal around his legs was also curious, as she had never seen anything remotely similar to it before.

"Afternoon, good sir." she dipped her head in sort of a bow. "I'm not intruding on any pack's lands, am I?" she inquired, figuring that she was most likely the new wolf to the area, since she had come from such an extreme territory herself.

She padded forward a bit, closing the distance between them a respectable amount. She knew the dangers of strange wolves, but didn't want to stand far back from this male and have to raise her voice to speak with him or strain to hear him.

Blank stared at the female for a moment and then grinned and closed the space between them further. She was respectful in the distance she had created between them, he was just being damn right cheeky with a strange wolf, but she seemed pleasant enough. He sat down, making the eye level between them a bit more level, he didn't wish to loam over the smaller female. He tilted his head to one side in a relaxed manner and a twinkle appeared in his eye. In response to her question he replied.

'Who knows? I am merely wondering around myself. I passed no scent marks so I wouldn't worry my sweet. Plus I'll look after you if we've caused any trouble by being here.'

She fixed her with a pair of rich amber eyes, and allowed himself to flicker a quick grin towards her.

'So my sweet. Where to now?'

Hmmm~ The female gathered her thoughts a bit before responding. She didn't really appreciate the insinuation going on in the conversation, but really didn't want to cause things to go south by bringing it to light. At any rate, she couldn't help but bristling a bit as he got all too close after a minute.

She would deal with it, though. For now...

Her eyes narrowed slightly as he kept talking. "I was not worried about trouble, I'm perfectly capable of looking after myself. I was only worried about possibly coming off as disrespectful." She was about to go on with fragmented pieces of her past, about her pack and her family and WHY exactly she had inquired about this being packlands in the first place when she decided that there was no reason to explain herself to this stranger. That, and he had already started talking again.

Where to? ... She didn't exactly know. "I am a wanderer. I left my pack to find a better life." she stated simply, rolling her shoulders slightly in a shrug.

Blank stared at her for a moment, his amber eyes filling with mirth.

'I don't doubt you can look after yourself well enough my pretty, merely a polite offer on my behalf.'

He still held the females eyes with his but a distance expression passed over them and in the next moment had gone. He smiled softly at her.

'We are all looking for a better life my sweet. I am a wonderer as well, perhaps we can wonder together for a way. Bit of light conversation never hurt anyone now did it sweetheart?'

He rose easily, looming over the smaller female, he grinned at her and then turned fluidly for such a large creature and walked a few paces away from her and then looked back over his shoulder, amber eyes glowing.

It seemed to Tobin that this male was getting way too much enjoyment out of their chance meeting. But maybe she was just stuffy from being in the desert for too long - being around her brother...

Maybe this could be fun. The female grinned wickedly at her strange new friend. "If we're going to be traveling together," she started, standing as well and closing the newly created gap between them, "I'm going to need to know your name."

If she were any other wolf, she would probably wonder where they would go, or fear that he would take her off somewhere and harm her - but she found no reason to concern herself with such things at the moment. As long as he kept things one on one, she would be fine.

Blank peered over his shoulder and noted the grin creeping across the females jaw, he returned it and chuckled softly to himself and allowed his eyes to follow her motions as she made her way to his side, his eyes tracing the outline of her body, unashamed at how forward he may be taken for.

He stood a good deal taller than the female but in humour he crouched down a bit to make the height equal and leant over to rub his shoulder to hers, allowing a rumbling mirthful laugh to escape his jaw. Standing back up straight and pulling away from her a bit, he smiled and replied to her question.

'You may call my Blank little lady. And your name may be?'

He started to set a slow lumbering pace. He was never in a rush to be anywhere, even when he had a need to be somewhere, he took everything in his stride in a carefree manner. He didn't have any idea of where he was going, but then she didn't seem to have a destination either, so what harm could come from a little wonder together.

The grin quickly turned into a smile as the male became more playful. Hunching down to meet her stature, and then the great rumbling of laughter that followed captured her attention quickly, and the dusty brown female couldn't help but catch a case of whatever it was he had that made him so happy.

Blank was an odd name, as the word for her meant... nothingness, a lack of anything. Maybe it was just so where she had come from? She did realize that wolves outside of her family pack would probably be less strict in their naming conventions, so she dismissed it easily. "That is an interesting name, indeed. My name is Tobin." she ended her sentence with a playful nipping at his shoulder.

She followed as he set the pace, glad to have a traveling partner now. The journey had been lonely, and she had - for the most part - been consumed with doubt about where she was going and if she should have left home in the first place. She had just come into adulthood, however, and it was time to find a new way of living. She had a deep desire to carry on her family line, but there was no way she was going to subject her own pups - much less a mate - to the ways and wildly bipolar temperatures - of the desert.

Blank quickly warmed to the dusty brown female. She had spirit and she took his foolery with an easy manner. Though at the mention of his name, his eyes glazed over and he became distant for a split second, before he returned to himself.

'Aye, my name. Kind of tells you of my value to those who gave it to me. But enough of that my sweet. Tobin is it, well it's a pleasure Tobin.'

He stared down at her, rich amber eyes casting a cheeky glance into dazzling blue. Grinning to himself he pulled his gaze away and returned it lazily to his surroundings. As he walked the shackles on his forelegs clicked softly, the remains of the chains swinging around his paws, a constant reminder, just like his scars. He couldn't ever forget, memories burned into his mind but he could live with them.

She nodded at his words, and continued walking with him - her tail swishing lazily behind her. Every so often she would brush against him, when a hip or shoulder got too close.

"The pleasure's mine, as well." she added, having waited a while before speaking again. It had been a while since she had been around other wolves - and it had been a lifetime since she had been around a stranger.

"Do you have a direction, Blank?" she wondered out loud. She would go wherever, at this point. It was nice and easy to move under the protection of the forest, and she had no qualms with moving as far as he wanted today.
PostPosted: Wed Jul 16, 2008 12:38 pm

'Direction my lady? Well yes of course I do, we are going this way...'

He looked ahead and continued walking at his lumbering sort of pace. That was how he choose to answer that question. Blank had no where to be, he also didn't know this land, so any direction seemed as good as any other for now.

He noted the fact that she maintained the minimal distance between them, in fact she even had the cheek to brush her hip or shoulder against him. Yes he was defiantly warming to her! Blank was a large male, heavily muscled but he moved with a deadly confident grace which belied his weight. His scaring added to the overall effect, perhaps though other wolves would take them as if he had lost too many times, but the fact was he'd just been through hell and back. His easy manner though hid all his rage and over time he had learnt to contain it well, but never the less it was still there. Though the female brushing up against his body had nothing to fear.

He flickered his rich amber eyes over her, not focusing on her eyes but instead twisting his head slightly so he could watch the swaying motion of her hips. He lay his eyes to rest there for a time, enjoying the sight and grinning unashamed before swinging his eyes back up to hers.

'So my sweet, have you ever been with a male?'

He stressed the word been and gave her a quick wink. Blank didn't often didn't beat about the bush about such things, he was a dirty boy and nothing would change that. But in other respects he was very much a gentleman and she seemed like fun so what harm would come from a little forward questioning?

She snickered softly to herself at his answer. Tobin had the feeling that this wolf didn't know much more about this forest than she did, but it was all well and good for now. It was interesting company, to say the least, and the view wasn't half-bad either.

She noticed his eyes as they roved over her body, but truthfully she was doing the same to him. He was a strong body, and everything about him screamed that fact out to her.

The question didn't catch her off-guard. She was thinking along the same lines, after all. She quirked an eyebrow, though, in response. This could be an interesting afternoon~

She pondered how best to answer the question. She HAD been with a male - only one, and nothing had really come of it - but it had been so long...

"Why do you ask?" she answered his question with a question of her own, a seductive gleam in her eyes. With that, she brushed against him again and upped her speed, flicking her tail over his nose as she passed ahead of him just enough to do so.

Blank continued to lumber on as the female passed him by, he noted the gleam present in her eyes and smiled to himself. As she moved in front of him she suddenly she flicked her tail, trailing it across his nose. He licked his lips and inhaled her scent. Now what was this wolf playing at, no male could restrain himself at such a gesture. He leapt up on top of her, his forelegs locking in to her hips, he didn't enter her though, instead he pulled his bulk forward and weight her down, he wasn't light and she would feel that now. He growled softly and nipped playfully at the scruff of her neck. In a low rumble he spoke.

'I could take you now my pretty.'

He took his weight back onto his hind legs and pulled his hips into hers, grasping with his forelegs and pulling her pack into him as well. He held her for a moment, letting the message sink in before releasing her and jumping off to her side. Blank was generally a laid back wolf, but now the female had aroused him, he sprung away from her, walking a few paces with legs high, prancing and displaying his impressive build.

The she-wolf stiffened when he mounted her. He was heavier than she was used to, but she was strong enough to keep him up without buckling and falling to her belly.

Hmm, so he was easily led. She hid a grin as he spoke to her. "So you could." she agreed, her voice steely and lacking emotion.

She was almost disappointed when he left her, but it was fun to see the silly display that followed. It was the best thing ever when males showed off for her, dancing and prancing around like it mattered.

Alright, maybe it mattered a bit.

With a sly grin, she followed the male with her eyes only. Standing still, she kept her tail high, though allowed it to flick around absently. "What are you doing way over there?" she purred, egging him on with a lusty snarl.
