I have 2 and a half weeks until recital and I wanna lose a few pounds, any good tips?!!!!!

Ill-fitting costumes are travesties. Keep your weight the same, don't lose OR gain anything right now. Baggy costumes look TERRIBLE and make you look like a weak, pathetic little thing rather than just a small dancer.

But afterwards, I suggest working out and eating healthy. Eat only when you're hungry, not when you're just bored and/or thirsty. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, EAT!

Sorry, I'm just so anti-eating disorder, it's not funny. >.>

*agrees with both* i know about the costumes not fitting thing because my teacher generally orders one size too big for me every year xd but yeah, eat healthily, exercise regularly and you should start losing weight.

Heres something i do is dance hard about 3 4 days a week, and only eat when your hungry but dont eat too much or get too full. I mean eat enoug hbut dont eat so much. If oyu get what im saying. I did that and ive gone from chubby to skinny

Cowboy: Weight loss and gain are both different for males and females. You may have lost weight doing that, but it might result in a gain for her since the fat cells are designed in a different manner

cookiedough: You can take Yoga and/or Pilates classes outside your regular dance classes. I really want to do that myself since those two help with muscle build and fat reduction. Plus, it will help your performance tremendously. 3nodding Also, eat healthy and moderate, but do not eat too little. Like I said, it may result in a gain because your body is taking that as a signal to keep the stored fat and increase the supply. Eating too much will just result in a gain, period. Drink lots of water and stay away from drinks with added sugar, like sodas and some juices. For food, eat more fresh produce and less processed crap. I lost fat weight doing that with exercising when a few years ago (notice I said fat weight and not weight in general. Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you find yourself getting slimmer but gaining some, its just your body replacing the fat with muscle).

Try to find at least one thing to drop out of your regular eating program. The best choice, in my opinion - soda. It doesn't hydrate you, and it's one of the worst things for your teeth. Try to switch to water, but if you still can't bear to lose the sweet taste, try juice or electrolyte drinks.
It also helps if you write down your goals on a calendar. Note down the day you first start dropping soda, and continue to update it. Sometimes just writing things down really helps you continue the diet.

just eat healthy and dance!

and treat yourself to some junk food once a day, it keeps ur metobolism working fast.

make sure to eat: 8 glasses of water, 1-3 cups of milk, a cup of fruit, a cup of vegtables, and meat [idk how much]

stick to this and you'll be in tip-top shape, unless u r already in shape but just want to look anorexic(sp?)..

just dance! dance! dance! its a great workout !

and remember : Its not how you look, its how you dance.
