السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته Uh, do you guys believe in a personal guardian angel assigned to you from God when you are born?
We do in Catholicism. Our guardian angels have special names that can be revealed to us by God when our heart is ready. I know mine heart
But Guardian Angel Names are so special that only you should know about it or someone very close to you.
What's your position on angels? Do you guys have different types of angels?
In Catholicism, there's one type of angel that is called the "shattered angel". The shattered angel is the guardian angel of the souls of people that have gone to hell.

well i dont know about guardian angel but i do know this
we muslim must believes in angel n they r ma lot of them
but we must know in this 10 angel
Jibril - the one who sent wahyu (commandment from god)
Izrail - the angel of death
Izrafil - the one who blows the 'horn' to end all life int this world n blows second time to raise human back at Mashar
Munkar & Nakir - the one who ask question in our graveyard
Raqib & Atid - our left and right angel that writes our whole doings in this wirld
Ridzuan - the quardian gate of heaven
Malik?? (mayb) the guardian of hell
Mikail - the sender of prosperity?? Rezeki

the most interesting for me is between the prophet Idrus(adruce) n the death angel Izrail

Idris prayed for salvation and an end to the suffering, and so the world received rain.

I think each of us have two angel that is always standing beside us. But their job is to write our band and good deed. In Islam we don't need for a guardian angel because we have Allah as our guardian. But in a book I read that each of us has a sidekick genie called Qarin. Rasulullah saw even had one that entered Islam name Habib Al Huda. They say Habib Al-Hud is still alive and live in Baqi'. http://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qarin
