with dirt bikes at least, 2strokes would make you a better rider than a 4stroke would. you get lazy on 4strokes, 2strokes, you have to stay on the gas with more throttle control and clutching a lot and all that. 4 strokes is just gas it and go. so i think 2strokes are better... and those bikes are also lighter... and maintenance is a lot cheaper...

Ummmmm....it's a tough decision...I've ridden both before...raced both before...2-stroke has more power...but 4-stroke has ore torque...I would say 2-stroke because of the more power they have and the corner speed...if only 2-strokes had the same amount of torque as 4-strokes...then that would make for a deadly combo...but yeah...I say 2-strokes...

The 2 stroke DOES have more torque........ or not exactly torque but acceleration. the only problem I'd have with 2 strokes is how the outboard operates. they're inefficient and don't last as long.
but for anybody that is set on them, check out the Evinrude Johnson motor on youtube.
it's a 2-stroke that's combines the good qualities of a 4-stroke with the acceleration, and light weight respose of 2-strokes engines. they're considered pretty equal or even better in most cases with fuel economy and performance. but even with that, I love the sound of a 4-stroke. also the loose clutch, just in case I want to ride easier.

i like a 2-stroke because they sound cool i dislike them because they do not last as long a 4-stroke.
i like 4-stroke because they last long i dislike because they are quite i like my bikes pretty loud but other wise i would get a 2-stroke because of the speed.

Even though 2 - strokes might not last long...you can still get pretty good use out of them if you know how! ^^

I preffer a 2-stroke because they are awsome. you can't flip a 4-stroke upside down and keep it running like a 2-stroke can. And i love the sound, power, and speed i get out of my 2-stroke bike.

And they have these sensors that detect if the bike is sliding on the ground or moving normally. Then they will shut down if it's slidiing because the guy crashed.

I think I like 4strokes most because of the way they run having all of that torque right there for ya and plus the sound is nice.

I also can see why you'd want to. you can still do all of the stunts, flips, or whatever else you'd be interested in.

The good thing about a 2-stroke, is that when your racing one and crash, all you have to do is get back up, walk over to the bike, pull the clutch in, pick the bike up, drop it to 1st gear and roll off! Thats what I like about racing one! mrgreen
