It was traditional in her clan to travel the lands before starting a family. Her mother had said it was to make sure one was well versed in the world, her father had said it was to enjoy the last bit of freedom one had before family obligations hit. Eupe'baridi decided she would form her own opinion as she went. Tradition bound she was...but she preferred to form her own opinions of said traditions. She'd been traveling a couple of moon-phases now, and she was finding the world certainly was a larger place than the lands surrounding her clan's home. And she loved it.

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko Aang had a different, somewhat more solemn reason for traveling. But he prefered not to dwell on it if he could. It didn't make life any better... So for now, he would enjoy the time he had to explore the world... He was actually currently chasing a butterfly, occassionally swatting a paw at it in a playful attempt to catch it, when he noticed Eupe.
His first thought was, she was so pretty... He hadn't even noticed he hadn't stopped running as he stared at her... His second thought was more of a revolation.
"OW!"

Eupe seemed to notice the rather yellow and blue young one, as he had noticed her. Her thoughts were more along the line of where his parents were, however. And then he ran into the rock. She looked at the scene with wide eyes, then sighed and trotted over. Weren't boys supposed to be the 'sensible' ones? Even young ones...
"You're supposed to look where you're going, cub." Though her tone was stern, it had undertones of worry. After all, he'd been going rather fast...

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko But she had no reason to worry for him. Aang got back to his feet, laughed, and absently rubbed the bump on his head.
"I know, but you were just so pretty! I've never seen a cheetah like you before," he hummed, grinning and bounding around her in a circle, intent to look at her from every angle.

Eupe was taken aback by his quick recovery, pale green eyes wide. She wasn't really used to a cub being so...frank, really. Her clan, though encouraging the speed and stunts cheetahs were likely to do anyways, had always taught the cubs from a young age about choosing words carefully.
"Thank you...Though I'm not the only one like this." She smiled a bit proudly. "I take after my mother."

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko "I bet your mom's really pretty then!" Aang declared as he returned to her front and plopped down, gray eyes shining with mischief. "I'm Aang!"

Eupe followed suite, though she sat down much more gracefully. "I...suppose she is." She made a slight bow with her head. "I am Eupe'baridi, of the Baridi-a dhati Clan. Though...since you're young, Eupe is fine." Such a strange little cheetah this Aang was.

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko Aang ears twitched at the immediately familiar word, one he'd heard all his life and knew seemingly endless different ways to say.
"Baridi? That sounds like an Anga'mabedawi name!"

Eupe was now quite confused. Her clan had many connections with other cheetah clans, and Eupe knew the names of each one. That name however...was unfamiliar.
"Anga'mabedawi? What is that...a new clan?"

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko "You've never heard of the Anga'mabedawi!? The Air Nomads!" Aang exclaimed in shock, before he paused and his ears drooped slightly. "Oh... Of course you haven't. Mama told me that the Moto'dola wiped us to near extinction around the time I was born..."

Eupe was still rather lost...but she couldn't help but feel sorry for the little one. Extinct? The poor cub. She stooped a litle to match his height.
"I'm sorry...I've honestly never heard of them. My clan has been...rather reclusive lately, after a couple of our allied clans betrayed us. It's possible we didn't travel far enough to meet your clan before..."

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko "Really? Cause my home is a long long ways to the west. Mama told me I couldn't go back until I knew I could stop the Moto'dola... They aren't bad... It's the leader who's bad. He's trying to take over the lands, when they're supposed to be ruled by the Sanamu... But when Sanamu Roku died, he decided he wanted the lands for himself," Aang explained, his ears pressing against his head. He wasn't sure why he was sharing this, but maybe... Eupe kinda reminded him of his mother, and he really missed her. "That's why he tried to wipe out all the Anga'mabedawi. To kill the next Sanamu... S'why I can't go back."

Yup. Her clan hadn't yet traveled that far. She tentatively put a paw over one of his.
"He's a fool, then. In my clan, the next Head is chosen carefully by the former Head out of all his relatives, and his mate's relatives. Any who try to usurp the position are dealt with most severely." She didn't know if that would help...but she couldn't just say nothing...Strict and tradition-bound she was. Heartless she was not.

Kitsune Mistress Nyoko "Thanks," Aang said after a long moment, shifting to nuzzle his face into her fur for a long moment before pulling back with an almost painful-looking grin. "But I get to see the world now!"

Eupe gave him an awkward smile back.
"Not alone, you aren't." The poor thing...By the way he was acting, his mother had been lost. And there was no telling where his father was, from the lack of mention. And she refused to leave a cub alone.
