Let's see, I've had noteworthy things happen recently but I haven't really talked about them here for one reason or another.
Poor Peacock Recently, we got our house termite treated. There's just one problem... the peacocks that hang around our house. In particular, one of the females decided to nest in a place that needed to be treated ; she had laid something like six eggs.
My parents attempted moving the eggs to a better location but, of course, she abandoned them because of that. sad And once the fumes from the termite treatment cleared, they moved the eggs back but she's not going back.
Oil problem So, when I parked my car at work yesterday, the oil pressure light was on. I hadn't done anything with the oil in my car for nearly a year (which includes not checking it) and there was none on the little testing stick. The problem was, I didn't have any extra oil! So, I asked around. Nobody had an extra quart, but I was able to get a ride to a nearby store to get one. (Believe me, a walk would have been very far... a couple of miles...)
However, while getting into the co-worker's truck... RIIIIIIIIP! I ripped a hole in the front of my pants! gonk Fortunately, that was the end of the day so after we got the oil, I went home.
And now, I'm making this post from the lobby of... errr, can't remember the name of this place. Getting my oil changed (overdue) and, since I'm here anyways, getting it past state inspection. (Really next month is the last month but, hey, Why Not?)
Obligatory Pokemon Update Ah, it's been fun lately. Every night I get to fill up My Pokemon Ranch from scratch and obtain another Mew and overall just enjoy the nice calming and charming quirks of the game.
However, quite noteworthy, my third Mew is a max speed Timid with a good special attack... that's really really good for a Hypnosis! whee
Plus, next week is the Deoxys Event and I can't wait! I've already emptied one of my resetable games so I should be able to obtain a lot! W00t! whee whee whee

Nadian, at least it wasnt:
FAAAAAAAART, *BENDS* RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP *(a BIIIIIIIIG hole on your butt forms in the pants cloth)*
that has happened to me - denim jeans, at school - with me making the hole bigger because...yes, even the teacher was red-faced with laughter, as was the whole class room...
So much so that the skunk-factor in me didnt even get detected!

Oil Problem??
If the Oil indicator Lights ups, it means You need to change the Oil OR!! like in my case hehe your low on oil, which could mean it's burning oil due to valve seals which need to replace, that is if their is a small puff off white-grey smoke coming from the muffler... Or it's due time to change the oil since you said you haven't done anything to the oil for like a year. oil changes are 3 months/3k miles or syntetic 5mnth/ 5k miles
Oh just noticed you took it in for oil change hehe didn't see that part, since i was giggling about the pants ripping hehe.
eek Peacock!? Quick if you have an eletric warming pad, place it in a box and lay a towel over it and place the eggs in it, so they can hatch. Helps also a lamp over them with a 100watt bulb so it can warm the top side while the heating pad warms the bottom. (taken care of way to many chicken/duck)

That sucks about the peacock. They're such pretty birds too. The only thing you could really do is attempt to incubate them yourself. confused My family kept a baby mouse warm by putting them on the top of our VCR. xd We had to feed it with a terricloth too. But when the little guy grew up, he was the sweetest, most human-loving mouse you ever did know. And his testicles never dropped either. >_> We thought he was a girl until he knocked another girl mouse up. gonk
I'm surprised you don't change your own oil. surprised I know I couldn't stand to pay someone else to do it, so yeah. sweatdrop The only time it might seem "worth it" would be if they included a free tire-rotation. But even that is a pretty easy thing to do at home in the garage (granted that you have a jack).
As for Pokemon... yay?

How did peacocks come to hang out at your house anyways? Do they just roam the area?

My dad's family took care of a baby otter when he was younger. He lived in his bathtub. Eventually they gave him to the zoo since they couldn't handle him anymore. I think the zoo eventually was able to release him back into the wild. His name was Scooter.

His name was Scooter.I hope he didn't die in the wild. -_- Releasing previously-captive, therefore semi-domestic animals back into the wild has always seemed like a rather optimistic, romantic concept that's honestly not practical, but ultimately makes people "feel better about themselves and their impact on the world". Malarky.

I dunno.
My family didn't. So if he died it wasn't us. It was the dumb zoo.

They all died >>Yeah. gonk Perhaps one of the best ways to "save" animal species to start farming them and eating them. rofl I mean, just look how many cows, chickens and pigs there are! biggrin Hell, we should get back into the whale business, but not by hunting them down, but keeping them on huge aquatic farms! biggrin Except, whales are pretty intelligent... so that might be kind of sad. sad But what if we could use them to stop the "oil crisis"? surprised They can do it with corn right, why not whale oil? biggrin Okaaaaaay... *has officially let loose how warped she is* >_o
