-- AIM Rp log between Sukari and Teke ((DFA and Hammie)) Things were peaceful quiet again. At least, to the point Sukari no longer saw danger around the borders; 'God' was no longer prowling about, and Chrno (was that his name? Vi had said so, though something deep down told the general she was missing half the story) was still imprisoned. All in all, it meant the pride was passing through rather monotone days. Despite that, the brown pelted female felt the need to patrol the borders, just to make sure everything truly was in order; she kept on getting the feeling that everything was just TOO quiet and peaceful.
Something was bound to happen soon. Hence the reason Sukari was currently traveling alongside the river that separated the Outlands from the Pridelands. As her eyes travelled to look at the distant pride-rock, her eyes narrowed, her lips pulling into a sneer. Granted, she hadn't lived there, and didn't harbor the hate Sarafina did, but... living with the queen, and their close relationship had rubbed off some of the paler lioness' resentment on the General, "Morons."Teke had grown bored of the Pridelands, of late. He always did enjoy wandering around and meeting others, or simply spending time with his family, but he was antsy today. He'd been out of the borders a few times, mainly to chase a herd of antelope or just wandering towards the southlands aimlessly, but he had never actually been in another pride's lands. Not that he was now.. yet. And of course, he was unaware of how close he was to getting there. He padded along the riverbank, admiring the scenery. Drawing closer to the Outlands, he noticed another lion on the opposite bank. He smiled, as usual. Always willing to make a new acquaintance, Teke was! "Hello!" He called rather loudly, not sure if the sound of running water would make it harder for her to hear him. There was a long, almost awkward pause as the greeting rang over the rush of the water; Sukari lifted her head from the ground where she'd been sniffing at a particular old pair of footprints, imprinted in the muddy river bank. For some odd reason, she couldn't even begin to understand why the stranger felt the need to greet her in such an overly enthusiastic way. Was he daft? Didn't he know Outlanders did not particularly get along with Pridelanders?
Blue hued eyes travelled over to the male, narrowed, eyebrow knitted together as if to hide her mild confusion, "I beg your pardon?" the words were drawled out with such superiority one would have confused her for a queen, or some sort of aristocrat; the scars that littered her frame here and there though, spoke otherwise. Sukari was a fighter, "Are you daft? You're almost within Outland territory, mongrel; leave."Teke looked thoughtful, seating himself on the edge of the bank and gazing at the territory on the other side. "Outlands?" he repeated, curiosity tinging his words. "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware there was another pride here." He smiled, curling his tail around his paws. "I don't mean to appear threatening, I was only wandering." He grinned his most disarming grin, believing, as he always did, that all the problems in the world could be solved by talking things out. He didn't comment on her insult for him, either not noticing or not caring. His brother called him enough names in his childhood that he didn't think anything of it.Lids came to hood over her eyes, her maw creasing into a grim line as the lioness decided that yes, this one was indeed daft. Daft as bloody wildebeest, no doubt, "You don't appear threatening," she told him bluntly in that raspy drawl, "You appear moronic," maybe he'd leave if she pushed his buttons enough? She didn't want to have to cross the river and press her nose against his in a threatening manner; she'd only just washed. Ugh. She didn't want to get wet.
"Well then," she lifted her paw with obvious superiority and waved it mildly, "You can wander right back to the place you came from, back with all the idiots, betrayers and morons. There's no place for you here!" why wasn't he leaving? Usually, rogues left when she threatened them; not only because she was experienced in battle, but because they must have known that Sukari had a pride behind her that she could call to for aid, "Leave immediately."

"Oh, good." Teke replied cheerfuly as she told him he didn't appear threatening. Again, he ignored her insults. However, he raised his eyebrows blankly at her next words. "Betrayers?" He asked. Morons, idiots.. those were common insults. But betrayers? Surely there was some kind of basis as to why she seemed to think the benevolent Pridelands were "betrayers". "What do you mean, 'betrayers'?" He asked curiously, tilting his head to one side. She certainly was grouchy and snappish, but he had learned not to let that sort of behavior to get to him. It might very well backfire on him someday.
... Why was he still here?
Confusion clouded Sukari's brain, overridden swiftly by annoyance and frustration when he ignored her insults and seemed more intent on carrying out a normal conversation with her. Her pride though, would not let the change to badmouth the other pride to pass by her unused, and she found herself sneering, "Betrayers, the lot of them!" came the answer as Sukari allowed her rump to land on the ground, "They betrayed Tahka's line; Mufasa's line and his followers. All of them fools. Tahka was betrayed and then pushed aside!" oh, she knew the story from the Outlanders' point of view.
After all, she'd spent so much time with Sarafina that she knew even the grimmest details, "What is it you don't understand about my request for you to get the hell out of here?" her eyes narrowed again and this time she stood and began to cross the swallow river, no doubt trying to intimidate him into leaving.
"Taka's line?" Teke mused, thinking back what his father had told him about Pridelands history. Taka had been Mufasa's brother, of course, but that was ages ago! Before his father had been born, even. He smiled disarmingly. "The pride chose Mufasa to be king because of his brave actions." He recited, just as his father had told him. "Surely it's not betrayal if it is the will of the pridemembers." Ah, yes, he was that type. The type who believed in the will of the people. His brows raised as she began to cross the river. "Well, it's not as though I'm actually invading your lands." He reasoned rationally. "Anyway, there's no harm in having a conversation, is there?" He offered her another vague smile.
In all honesty, she didn't find his smile at all disarming; if anything, the female found herself almost gagging at his reaction.
"The pride was full of idiots, and it's hardly BRAVE when Mufasa betrayed Tahka and left him behind to do it all on his own!" her paws moved over the river, crossing without much difficulty, "I don't care what you think, or what you want; Go away!" the last words were snarled at him, teeth baring in a threat that coul not be ignored, and this done, she took a second to prepare herself and launch her body in the air, aiming to pin him down.
Maybe if she did THAT she'd intimidate him into leaving with his tail between his legs; or at least rouse him into a fight. Either idea was pleasing to the female. Even despite her mistweaver heritage, her rogue blood made her large enough to pose a threat; that aside her training in battle had been ex tense. It never crossed her mind that the male might not even bother to fight back...
Teke shrugged; he had hardly come here to argue. "Well, I admit I only know what my father told me about it." He agreed, not at all minding the idea that she might know more than he did about the subject. He did have to wonder, however, why she seemed to angry at him. He had only greeted her, after all! He didn't have much time to wonder, though, because almost right after she snarled her last words at him, she was on top of him. He blinked, wind knocked out of him for a moment. It took him a moment to realize what had happened. He peered up at her. "There's no need to get violent." He piped up mildly.

There was almost an audible snap as the female's mind broke; WHY wasn't he either running away or fighting against her? WHY was he just laying there, happily taking the abuse with that dumb smile plastered over his face? WHY was he not defending himself? What the hell was wrong with this guy? What was his genetic disease anyhow?
As the questions raced through her broken mind, she remain laying over him, blinking awkwardly down at him, as if trying to understand. Never once did she notice just how bloody awkward the position was, or how wrong it was for either of them to remain like that, "What is WRONG with you?" she asked after a long moment, looking so honestly, down-right confused it almost looked out of character for the Outlander general.
Teke glanced from side to side. She didn't seem to be attacking him any further, so he couldn't help but wonder why she was still standing on him. It was slightly uncomfortable. "Sorry?" He asked, looking genuinely confused. "What do you mean, what's wrong with me? I didn't do anything." He glanced around again. "I don't mean to be a bother, but do you think you could get off of me? I'm getting a bit cramped." He added politely.
"It's BECAUSE you're not doing anything that I'm asking, you bloody idiot!" still utterly unaware of just how awkward it was, she leaned down and pressed her nose against his, offering him a long warning growl, "Are you planning on just sitting there even if I decide to rip your throat out?" where the hell was the logic in that?
Even though she'd already decided he WAS daft, it was only breaking her mind further to know that this male (ANY male) would just allow her to shove him to the ground so easily without so much as moving a finger in defense. As he asked her to get off him, her eyes narrowed and she pushed her fore paws against his chest almost roughly, "No," she told him bluntly, "I don't think I bloody well will," maybe she could still rile a reaction out of him; there was no way he'd just lay there, right? He'd shove her off, right?
"I'm sorry? What was I supposed to do?" Teke asked curiously, finding it rather hard to breathe with the weight of the other lion on his ribcage. He considered her question thoughtfully. "Are you very likely to rip my throat out?" He asked finally. If she was, then it would probably be prudent to leave. But she didn't seem to want to hurt him, or she would have already, right? At her answer, he looked slightly confused, but offered an awkward shrug, difficult to pull off when pinned between an angry lioness and the ground. "Alright." He said agreeably. He wasn't entirely sure why she wanted to keep sitting on him, but it wasn't all that bad, he supposed. And well, if she really wanted to, who was he to stop her?
... Bloody HELL!
Her mind snapped even further, and the lioness' stance seemed to drop as she slumped against him slightly, looking so confused it was bordering making her look awkwardly childish, "Fight back, of course! Or defend yourself! Or run away! What the bloody HELL is wrong with you?!"
And then, that one simple word that slipped his mouth forced the female's brows to shoot up and hide into the locks of hair that fell over her face, "Alright?" a pause, "Alright?" there was yet another pause, and then Sukari's head came to crash against his chest, almost as if out of lack of places to 'headdesk' on, she'd picked his chest to thud-thump her forehead against. As she tried to shift her brain out of second gear, she slumped fully against him, "Wrong answer," she rasped out at him.
Wrong, bloody, ******** answer.

"Oh." Teke considered this. "Well," He explained, "I supposed I've never been much of a fighter. I've always thought that talking things out does a much better job of resolving conflicts than fighting does." He said cheerfully, smiling. "Anyway, you have the advantage at this point, and I probably couldn't beat you, so it seems a bit silly, don't you think?" His expression changed to one of mild worry as her head thunked onto his chest. "Er, are you alright? I'm sorry, you didn't seem to want to get off, and it seems a bit silly to try to force you to do something you don't want to do, after all." He reasoned in a mild tone of voice.
That made... absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Had this daft git been out playing in the backyard when the gods had been busy handing out common sense inside? Sukari was vaguely aware she was making really odd comparisons in her mind, but in all honesty, she didn't quite care. A grunt was released as she finally slipped off his form, "Yeah... well, whatever," she said, obviously tired of trying to make sense of what he was saying or how he acted.
This one was obviously not a threat to the Outlands, so it didn't very well matter if she left him alone and SHE walked away, right? Right?! Right.
"Good luck on surviving with that attitude; I'm going home. I need to.... I.... I need to go think about paraphrasing everything I thought I knew about the world. Because you just turned it all upside down," this said, she turned away from him and began to pad over the river, stumbling slightly here and there; there was not even a superior air to her steps and walking.
Teke watched Sukari expectantly, looking vaguely confused when she didn't have an angry retort. Had she run out of them? He stood gratefully, stretching out his lanky form to get rid of the cramps. "Thank you," He said cheerfully. "That was beginning to get quite uncomfortable." However, his thanks met empty air, as the lioness had apparently... decided to leave. He blinked. He'd turned ...what? Turned evrything she thought upside down? By being polite and friendly? That was odd. He scratched absent-mindedly at his ear, then, after a thoughtful pause, followed her. "What do you mean?" He asked curiously, and, undoubtedly, irritatingly.
The lioness physically blanched; or rather, she could have, had her skin been noticeable under her dark pelt. Wide-eyed, she watched as the male crossed the river and followed after her. Oh GOD!
Her lips pulled back to reveal her gritted teeth, though somehow the facial expression made it look almost as if she were scared, rather than threatening, "D-don't follow me!!" she called after him, squeaked in an almost panicked manner; if she couldn't battle him away, what was she supposed to DO with him? It'd never crossed her mind that she hadn't actually physically hurt him yet and that was still an option. Something about harming someone that refused to defend himself making her feel downright dirty. If she couldn't fight him... the only option was to turn away and LEAVE.
So that's exactly what the General did, "GO AWAY!" oh god, please go away! Turning away from him, the lioness that was otherwise rather feared around the area made a mad dash towards the termite mounds, hoping against all hope the... thing would STOP following her, "GO AWAY! GO AWAY! DON'T FOLLOW ME!"
Teke felt quite guilty. Though he wasn't sure HOW, he had apparently upset this lioness quite a bit. Determined to make amends somehow, he trotted briskly after her. "Wait, I only want to talk to you!" he called out, speeding up as she began to race away. He hardly noticed the change of landscape, so focused was he on catching up with Sukari and figuring out what exactly he had done to upset her so. "I'm sorry! What did I do?" He shouted after her, looking concerned as he dashed after her. Why on earth did she seem to be afraid of him? It wasn't as though he had hurt her at all! How strange.
