What's it about?
While Nori and Ky go to the grocery store, they discuss Nori starting training so he can defend himself. On their way back they discover a small lost kitten and decided to take it home with them.
Characters include?
Kryin, Nori, and a kitten.

After leaving the kitchen Nori had returned back to his room to relax. Throughout the day Nori had been feeling a bit better. The emotions had evolved from reclusive, leading to a feeling of wanting to get out of the building as soon as possible. Now he was just a bit tired of hanging around the kitchen and making dinner, there were a number if things that needed to be replenished and Nori was feeling that now was a perfect opportunity to go grocery shopping for them. He was anxious to leave, but now that it came to it, he didn’t really want to go by himself. When Ky had come back to dinner, she had looked a bit irritated, (no doubt Jaydn’s doing), so Nori thought that she probably needed a place to go for a while as well.
He knocked on her door quietly, hoping not to disturb her too much. ”Hey Ky? I think I want to go grocery shopping now…do you want to go?” He listened for a response and quickly added, ”It wont be crowded at the store this time at night so…” A lame, but believable excuse.

After a moment, Kyrin opened the door, her hair falling freely about her shoulders. She had taken out her contacts and changed her clothes. She was now dressed comfortably in jeans and a blue fitted button up shirt. She smiled, ”Sure.” Growing up, Kyrin wasn’t one to go shopping since it was always done for her, but she found that going to the grocery store with Nori was a relaxing experience, nearly as relaxing as clothes shopping. Kyrin grabbed her coat off the bed and slipped it on before walking out the door and leading the way to the elevator.

The closest place to get groceries in the city was only a couple of blocks away, so it was easiest to just walk there. The outside was starting to get a biting wind because of the fall weather, so the pair of them both had brought their coats. Nori didn’t make a list, but he pretty much knew what he needed throughout the store. While they wandered, Nori busied himself with offhanded chatting. He knew that Ky probably wanted to ask him about his current condition but he wasn’t ready to talk about it just yet, and opted instead for frivolous conversation.

Kyrin noticed Nori’s evasiveness almost at once and decided it best to let Nori come to her when he was ready. Ky looked around the store and helped with what Nori wanted to get. She also picked out various different fruits and sweets as well. They only bought as much as they could easily carry back. Kyrin insisted she pay for it once they got up to check out. As they started their trek back, Kyrin told Nori about the katana practice that she did in the mornings and most evenings, hoping to take Nori’s mind from whatever was bothering him.

Nori listened to Ky’s voice and was interest in hearing about her training. In all the time he had been in the building, there were still floors that he hadn’t been able to venture to. He had no idea that there were training floors within the building itself. If such things were so readily available… ”Hey, Ky, can I ask you something?” He waited for her silent approval to continue before asking, ”Since there are training floors already in the building, is it okay if I…learn how to help out the group a bit?” He thought that even if he would be taught the bare minimum-even if he was just put on the back burner, it would at least help him to be useful in a new way. A way that wouldn’t be so mediocre and overlooked.

Kyrin thought on this for a little while before saying, ”Yeah. It would be good to have you know how to at least protect yourself if something were to happen.” She looked around, ”Considering we are still new here.” She smiled at Nori, ”I’ll teach you something if you want.”

”Okay!” Nori agreed immediately. The thought that he could finally put himself to better use for the good of Ky’s mafia was comforting. He probably couldn’t do much, but even putting the effort to help made him feel better. ”Just say the time, I’ll be there.” As Nori made his exclamation, the two suddenly heard a small noise, causing them both to stop.

”Meow!” The cry echoed out of the darkness of a small alley. ”Meow.”

Nori thought out loud, ”Kitty? He peered into the darkness of the alley they were stopped at. It sounded like a kitten was lost back there.

”Meow!” The cry seemed to be coming from behind a collection of trash receptacles. Poking his head out from under a newspaper a black and white kitten cried again. ”Meow?”

”It’s a kitty!” Nori stated the obvious when the little kitten became visible. He looked at the kitten and then to the bags in his hands. He shuffled the bags, giving himself a free hand and offered it to the new stranger in the alley. ”Come here kitty.” He requested softly.

Kyrin looked at the small kitten and set her bags gently on the ground. Squatting down slowly, she too offered her hand.

”Meow!” Trudging out of the piled trash, the kitten came cautiously close to the newcomers in the Alley. ”Meow?” The kitten looked to be only weeks old.
