Did anyone see this? I'm still not sure about what I think of this movie overall. There were parts that were somewhat scary, parts that messed with my head, and parts that I found hilarious. I don't want to go into too much detail because I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I really liked The Strangers. What made it even more creepy was the fact that things like that can, and do, actually happen. It makes you think about what you would do in a similar situation. I really liked how the strangers all had their more offensive moments. They're usually very quiet and stealthy and wait for the people to come to them, but they all had moments where they attacked. One thing that I think would have made the movie more interesting was if one of the strangers had been killed by the people. Then, it would have become a more personal thing for the other two.

:/ I've seen worse, I've seen better. It was really more of a suspense/thriller than a horror movie but it wasn't too bad. My grandma and I went to the matine show (Yes, my grandmother is somehow as big a horror junkie as I am) and we were pretty much the only ones there except for this older couple that came in just before the trailers started.
I jumped and squeaked a few times, squirmed a lot because of the sheer suspense and I'll admit I was pretty disturbed throughout most of the film. Two things really bugged me though:
1) Liv Tyler. Her character really annoyed me with all her screaming and whining and the fact she looks like a bad combination of Angelina Jolie and Renne Zellweger didn't help.
2) The male antagonist looked EXACTLY like Dr. Salvador from Resident Evil 4. SWEAR TO GOD. Same build, similar mask, all he needed was a chainsaw.

I dunno what I thought.
Places were sheer brilliance. The way they moved through the house unoticed and ******** with her mind, while we saw him in the distance is crazy. Other parts were cheesy and could have been done better. Like when the main guy gets taken. WtF the b***h has a light ******** shoot her already > <

It was creepy because it had some of those utterly realistic moments. It was something believable... You sit there and think, "This could really Happen."
~However the end was a wee bit strange. I wasn't sure if they were implying that Liv Tyler's character was insane and did it all or if she just happened to still be alive. Personally I think she was going insane throughout the entire movie and hallucinating!
