In Norse mythology, Månegarm is a wolf that lives on the blood of dying humans and at Ragnarök hunts down and swallows the moon.

Some great Viking Metal from Sweden.

That's always in the eye of the beholder. I think Tyr gets better with every album, you think they get worse.

Yeah, and fairly consistent as well.

That's always in the eye of the beholder. I think Tyr gets better with every album, you think they get worse.

They don't have as much of a style change as Tyr does. Though the newest has a bit more focus on the folk aspect.

And worse isn't really the right word, because it's still good, I just don't think it's as good as Eric the Red.

but wait-i thought manegarm is folk metal- well mosto f it, the blue covered one with the wolf on the front is viking, and the accoustic album doesn't count- why is it in here?

Because they are viking/black/folk metal. Their main emphasis is on the viking part.

Manegarm is my favorite band. Probably the first Viking metal band i heard. Too bad I haven't been to a single concert. Lets just hope the new album Nattväsen wont be a dissapointment. 3nodding
