Last night at my promotion dance, the DJ was spinnin' a few hip hop tracks and stuff, and right when I was going to ask him to spin Daft Punk, He did! He played Kanye West's Stronger mixed with Touch it, so I was goin' like OMG

I love it when I hear Daft Punk's influence in places other than my room XP
Like when I heard Music Sounds Better With You in a casino in vegas or Aerodynamic in the mall at Zumiez =D

Daft Punk's music is basically mixes of older music themselves.
Discovery was almost wholly built on samples. Not to take away from how damn hard it is to make a completely new song from a sample or anything....just to shed a little light on what Angel here said.
I feel like Kanye did something that no one else who has sampled Daft Punk has done before, made that track so successful it forced the "Mainstream world" to ******** take notice of Daft Punk and their incredible musical talents.
He is new and original in this sense.

Well at least Kanye West appreciates Daft Punk's music. Kanye West Even though Stronger is a great song, it does not compare to the sampled original. I just wish that more than half the people at the grammys would know who Daft Punk was, because if they did I know there would be a WHOLE lot more people cheering on for them when they appeared. They probably just thought "OMG those robots from the Music Video!" Kanye should have at least said "Ladies and Gentlemen, DAFT PUNKKK!" or something...

But maybe [Not to sound stupid], But.. maybe its better that Daft Punk stayed like on the downlow. I mean.. If I was them I would not want crazeh mainstream fangirls/fanboys on my doorstep wanting to have something of mine at like 3am. Thats just a no no. And they do have families too.. and yeah.. I think i would want my kids to grow up somewhat normally.. Even if they had a great god of music as their parent. -End of rant- xD

Well, Thomas & Guyman said they did like working with Kanye. Its not like he just made them slaves or anything, he sampled, with their permission.

The only good it did was get them a little attention. Not enough though. I think techno itself doesn't get enough credit. It should be to white people what rap is to black people. (Hope that's not somehow offensive.) I want to hear it in public more often than rarely. D: I have that song but it's the instrumental version. Take that, Kayne! twisted
