sweetdeily Yami no Ite Gah. This thread moved during the day. Daytime replies might be a little slow sweetdeily, since wI need to take care of Grandpa and when he's awake I gotta be paying attention to him. Saphirio was having a nice bask in the sun at the top of his favorite tree. At least, he was until muttering interupted it. He closed his eyes and tried to go back to napping but snapped them back open at another curse. He sighed and stood up, shaking himself with a slight tinkling noise and smattering of blue flashes. He stepped lightly over the branches until he reached the area where he had heard the noises coming from and poked his head down through the branches. He looked around until his eyes fell upon another kitsu wearing odd blue and black clothing. He pushed the rest of the way through the branches and landed softly next to the other Kitsu. "Heya. Need help with anything?" Nicodemus was hardly the most alert nor the most observant of kitsusagi, so when someone dropped from a tree right next to him, Nicodemus gave a fairly typical reaction for a Kitsu of his nature. He screamed like a girly, girl. It was a sort of 'kyaaa!' followed by a sharp intake of breath, after seemlessly teleporting two meters off the ground with nothing but adrenaline, and smacking back down once more. Once he'd dealt with these preliminary actions, Nicodemus had time to blink and stare at the very shiny, very sparkly kitsusagi that had appeared from the foilage. "Hello." Nicodemus mustered up with all his wit and intellect. Moved to guild!

Sapphy giggled at the other's reaction. He didn't think he had ever seen any one have quite this reaction to himself. Though, he had just kinda appeared next to this strange kitsu. "Sorry about that. I suppose I should have announced my presence before descending on you. My name is Saphirio. Did'ja need help with anything?"

The blond kitsusagi was usually at a loss for words when he encountered other kitsu, maybe it was his nature to stutter and shy away from others, maybe it was simply that he hadn't had enough social interaction to come up to the basic standards that other kitsu were on, either way, while he replied with what was considered completely outgoing for him, it was a timid reply at best.
"I... I think.... I'm lost."
He shifted, his tail curling shyly about his leg as he glanced at the other kitsu through his bangs. Saphirio was... shiny. Very, very shiny. Nicodemus' paws shifted too and fro as he fought his instincts not to draw closer and examine this unusual kitsu.

Sapphy refrained from rolling his eyes. Obviously the other kitsu was lost. Generally, when someone was standing in the middle of the road not moving at all and looking confused, that generally indicated a sense of being lost. But where was he going?
"And? Where are you trying to go? Maybe I can help." He sat down and absently flicked his tails here and there while waiting for a reply from the other kitsu. Every so often a tail would flick in the direction of the lost one.

Nicodemus shifted from paw to paw, unsure as to his response before he finally shook his head, finding his indecision was getting him no where. If this strange, shiny kitsu was offering to help then it made sense to accept said help. "I'm heading for the port city on the coast. I was supposed to see a white stone with a red arrow half a day back..." Nic's shoulders sagged, indicating his dismay at the current situation.

"A port city, huh?" Sapphy pondered that one. "I don't know. Never been there. But you can get a great view from up in the trees. We might be able to figure out a general direction to go from up there." He pushed off with his hind legs and with a little assist from his wings made the leap up onto a tree branch above them. "Come on. Its real easy to climb the branches."

"U-up the trees, you say?" Nicodemus took a few small steps back, staring up at the menacing bodies of the trees. He swallowed How hard could it be? Honestly? Nari and Noko had been up trees lots as kits, he'd seen them running around trees all the time... the closest Nicodemus had gotten to climbing trees had been a stack of books he'd stepped on to get to a high shelf. He'd read about climbing. It couldn't be... uh... hard....
The winged blond shifted from paw to paw before deciding to give it a running start. He ran, leapt, and jumped up! Over, and completely missed the bottom branch, falling ungraciously over the other side.

Saphirio waited somewhat impatiently while the other kitsu dilly-dallied about climbing trees. Honestly. It really wasn't that hard. He was about to speak up and say something when the other finally made his move. And what a move it was. Up and over the branch like a giant tree hare. He collapsed on the branch he stood in laughter. "Heeeee. That was..... giggle.... funny....." He tried to get himself under control though. After all, it was somewhat rude to laugh at someone like that. "Ahem.... Sorry.... I shouldn't laugh... But.... The way you just went up and over like that.... You forgot to use your wings. You gotta use them to slow your jump just as you get to the branch so you don't do what you just did."

Nicodemus picked himself up off the ground with a muffled expulsion. His blonde wings fluffed up in clear irritation and he pouted, trying his hardest not to show just how much the fall had upset him, or how he'd hurt his front paw. Some kitsu just weren't for the out of doors. With a noncommittal grunt he stepped back and made another run for the tree, this effort was almost as disastrous as the last. He didn't make it up high enough and smacked head first into the trunk he was aiming for. Nicodemus fell back down to earth, flopping ungraciously and yelping with the impact and immediate pain of his predicament.

Sapphy winced at the second attempt. "Uhm.... Maybe I should just go up and have a look see around. You said you're looking for a port city, right? Lemme go check. I'll be right back." He quickly dissapeared up the branches of the tree until he broke through the canopy. He looked around but he couldn't see any cities. But he could see what direction the ocean was at. He noted it in his mind and dropped back through the branches. "Hey. I didn't see any cities, there were too many trees to see the coast. But the ocean was over in that direction." He pointed in a vaguely southeastern direction.

He pointed in a vaguely southeastern direction. Nicodemus made a low growling sort of sound, which in the highly sophisticated tongue of the kitsuagi meant very little indeed. He slowly picked himself back up off the ground and made another small pained sound as he put a little too much pressure on his front paw. "Ita-ta-ta-ta... you don't have any ice do you?" He asked with a hopeful, boyish smile.

((Whoopsies. Sorries for taking so long to reply. I have gotten muchly distracted by grandpa and school stuffs and whatnot.))
Sapphy winced sympathetically. "Nope. Sorry. No ice here. But i'm pretty sure that there's a river in that direction. The cool water might help your paw." Saphirio almost felt bad for encouraging the other kitsu to try to climb the tree. But then, it wasn't really his fault, was it? After all, tree climbing was so easy. Anybody could do it..... Okay.... Maybe not *anybody*.....

I've been distracted with school starting again for me too.)) Nicodemus' tail drooped as he hobbled in the direction that the shiny Saphirio had pointed. His ears were flopping over his eyes and his head was down- the very image of a kitsu who's dreams were being crushed by his inability to reach them

Sapphy blinked and peered at the other kitsu. He looked so sad. "Uhm.... Is something wrong? Does your paw hurt that much? I can try and go find help if that's the case..." The behaviour the other was exhibiting was worrying him.

Nicodemus' ears twitched and he shook his head dejectedly. "I'm just no good at this sort of thing." The whole 'physical' thing was what he meant, but then again, who knows. He missed his books, he missed quiet nights indoors by the fireplace, relaxing. Not running around the realm, climbing trees, falling out of trees, getting chased by giant birds, having to dodge secret traps on ancient tombs and being lead around by gypsies who thought it was funny to see just how far he'd go for his miracle cure.... Nicodemus sighed, limping through the other side of the clearing toward the river. He'd met a lot of people, but few had been as kind as the shiny kitsu in the middle of nowhere. "Why are you out here all by yourself, anyway?" Nicodemus asked.
