NOTE: This class/discussion is no longer taught/led by a teacher. However, please feel free to read through it and ask any questions that you may have or express any thoughts/opinions you have. Just please don't ask, "Can I join the class?" Because the answer is 'no'. Thank you.
Hello all. This class will be run more like a seminar than anything else. I'll post once or twice a week. Each post will detail rituals and traditional sacrifices to particular deities. Questions can be posted here, and they will be answered. I promise. Traditions that I'll cover are mostly for historical reference, but if you want to try them out, go ahead! With that- May class begin!

First Deity I'll cover is Hestia. As everyone should know, Hestia is the goddess of the hearth and protector of the home. Every meal began and ended with a sacrifice to her. Lesson #1 Hestia's Bread
Lay out your meal as per usual. Set aside two pieces of bread before you sit down to eat. Bread can be of any variety. Crumble/tear/ect the first piece of bread into a bowl, thanking Hestia for the meal she has provided to you. This thanking doesn't have to be anything formal. She's the goddess of the home, no one is formal at home. Thank her how you would thank your mother. It's now safe to eat your meal. Before you clean the table, do the same to the second piece of bread as you did with the first. Clear your table and give the contents of the bowl to a fire. This can be tossing the contents into a fireplace or burning them in the bowl itself. To finish up, spread the ashes in your garden or flowerbed/ect.

Lesson #2 Protection of Anubis After the death of a loved one, it is common to worry about the well being of those we have lost. An offering Anubis is one way to ensure a loved one's safety in the afterlife. A traditional offering consists of wrappings or bandages that Anubis can use to protect your loved one. In the folds of the bandages, one would put rosemary and sage. Then the whole little package would then be burned along with a written prayer to Anubis.
