If you could experience any point in history, when would it be and why?

With me, it would probably be either the French Revolution 1789-'94 or the Paris Commune 1871 or 1848 Europe or France 1968.

I was TOTALLY thinking about this subject last night. XD

I'd like to experience Meji Era Japan. Maybe a little bit prior to the sword banning. And possibly the prospect of being invisable so I don't have to worry about pissing of some samurai and getting killed for being a foriegner. And yes I know that the Meji government wouldn't have been the ones to do that since the Emperor was western crazy.

But this one's a bit of an odd one for me to say cause honestly I've never been that interested in Eastern history. But this would be a good time to say I'd like to do it because it's so different from anything I'm used to.

See I thought about choosing a war but went against it because of how horrific I know wars to be. Especially WWI.

I'd wanna be around to see one of the major religions being founded. Not sure which one, but getting to hang around with Jesus, Mohammed, or Gotama would have been sweet.

As horrific as they were/are...
I can't help but be curious about the role of female spies, particularly during the American and French revolutions.
Vive la revolution! mrgreen

Or within the Civil War or any damn war.

I know there were female spies in the Napoleonic wars, The American Civil War, the Crimean War.

Actually I'm kind of having a hard time not thinking of a war from around that general time period of 1700-1900 where there wasn't a general usage of female spies.

Exactly. mrgreen

If I had the spare time, I'd spend a while just researching it: not only where and when female spies were used, but their role in the network (if there was one), what they did, how they did it, etc.

Oh man i would love to go back to Ancient Egypt and just get to listen to some of that undocumented music. I've always wondered how their music sounded.
After that I would want to go to Rome and watch the construction of the aqueducts and the coliseum.

Do you realize how long it took to build the Coliseum?

Somehow I think that, as far as historical interest, you would get along great with me and my best friend. (I have no clue why, but) I've been interested in the Tudor era for the longest time, while my best friend is interested in the same time period, but the French side of things. We had a three-hour long discussion that took place in an all-night diner after we went to see "The Other Boleyn Girl" together.
