Makani stretched out under the sun.

It'd been a good week. He'd had a nice afternoon with a random female, played games with Loki and that friend of his, and ate every single day! Now thats what you'd call nice. He smiled, lying down just like that, on the floor. It was afternoon, leaning towards night, and he'd preffer to enjoy the last rays he could get before having to trot off to find his sons, perhaps maybe walk Ukuu half way "home" again.

Just a moment in the sun was all he could ask for.

Moyo was not looking his best. His wounds had healed from the fight with the insane wild dog, but left unsightly scarring and clumps of bedraggled fur. He hadn't dare set foot back home, he knew his mother, bless her soul, would fret and worry.

He'd spent a few days nestled in safety at the edge of the jungle, eating little but drinking plenty. Only today had he felt strong enough to step out onto the plains and begi looking for food.

Only it wasn't food he found. It was another cheetah. Inside, his guts knotted and began to worry that if he was violent, he wouldn't escape with his life this time.

It didn't take him long to notice the pale cheetah.

Not that it was hard to do, his scent was a little obvious, and Makani, always the sort to enjoy someone with nice fur, caught on quickly to how his fur was.. far from nice. At the moment, anyway. "Well, " He perked his brows, ears tipping in the other's direction. "You've been through a bit, haven't you. " The male sat up, curling his striped tail around hi paws.

"Got in a fight or something? "

Moyo forze for a few moments, his confidence still bashed from his disastrous meeting with the wild dog. What kind of a cheetah, named after courage no less, was he to be beaten so abdly?

It was shameful.

He gulped and the forced his slightly trembling frame to stiffen and straighten, to at least try a bit of dignity in front of this other cheetah.

"Just a bit," he grimaced and sort of chuckled, as if it shouldn't matter.

He smiled, quietly amused at how Moyo seemed to try to shake it off. "I see. " He chuckled a bit himself, looking away for a moment before back. "So, who are you, then? " He asked, if this guy was still sore, Makani could probalby help him catch something to eat before he went off to find Loki and Xippi.

"I'm Makani. "

"I'm...Moyo," he replied a little sheepishly, though he was warming to the other cheetah. He just seemed to have a gentle, friendly demeanour. At least to him anyways.

He bowed his head, thinking that to be the polite thing to do, and then had to sit down, his legs a little wobbly. Not to mention the gash on his left shoulder made standing for a long time painful. He thanked his lucky stars that it was a cheetah he'd ran into and not a lion or leopard or hyena. Moyo had disturbing visions of vultures following him around.

"I think I'm a bit lost...a bit far from home..."

"Nice to meet you. " He nodded politely, watching Moyo as he sat down wobbly. So he was still hurting a bit. "Lost, you say. " He said slightly distractedly, eying his injured shoulder. "I can see that still hurts. " He nodded towards it, twitching his tail tip. "I may be able to help. " while guys didn't quite interest Makani, he was all for making friends sometimes.

"I've been all over. If you want, tomorrow I can help you find a way home. Or maybe when you're better... er. " He offered, and looking at moyo's shoulder again, added. "I can also catch you something for the day. Hunting can not be easy with wounds. "

"I wouldn't know, I haven't eaten in a few days," he replied. "I thought the blood would attract lions and junk."

As comfortable as he was, Moyo did feel himself tense as Makani approached. Was he trustworthy...he hoped so.

"What can you do to help?" he asked, curious. "And any help would be muchly appreciated..." he added, remembering his manners that his mother had so
painstakingly instilled in him.

He noted that, and stepped back slightly, give the guy space, right. Guys weren't like girls, they weren't flattered by it, duh. Gee, Makani sucked being around men, didn't he. "Like I said, I've been all around. If you describe your home perhaps I'll know where it is. " He nodded.

"And I can catch you some food, though soon I need to go fetch my sons before its too dark. "

Moyo looked around for any landmarks he could identify. It was true that he'd chosen not to go back home, but it became painfully obvious that he was very much a home-boy - he'd barely left his homeland enough to know anything around it.

"Umm...all I know really is its kinda grassy, and rocky...not really near anything like the big hills or the dark places," his description was awfully vague.

Moyo seemed mildly surprised that Makani should be a father, but then his own brother had managed to spread his seed, so it shouldn't have surprised him really.

"Sons? Need help?"

".. We'll work on the description later. " He smirked, standing up. He should let this kid start remembering a bit first, probably. "And sure, I could use an extra pair of eyes. One of them is pretty hyper. " He nodded. "You can stick with us for the night, if you want. And I'll catch you some food in the morning. " He felt a little silly talking like this, but oh well.

"Lets go, then? "

Moyo got up obligingly, feeling like a cub again, only this time, he actually had a father.

Whatever pain he felt in his shouler, and anywhere actually, he just gritted his teeth and walked it off. No sense making a big fuss over something that can't be changed now. He walked to the side and slightly behind Makani.

"Thank you," he said softly.

He smiled, leading Moyo off to where he'd last seen Xippi; best find the hyper one first, then worry about the calmer... redder one. "Don't mention it. "
