Basic information on learning how to role play:
Hey guys! This is where you come to learn how to role play if you have never role played before, or even if you would like more practice. There is a story/plotline I provided where you can simply post basic character information about your character, and then can immediately jump in. However, this is not how it always works in actual role plays. People usually hate it when you jump into the plotline randomly. They also don't like it when you post character information in a random post and then jump in. You always always always need to get approved by the owner/runner of a role play in order to enter their role play. Never jump in without their permission and without sending them a character form (which is usually posted on the first page of a role play). However, this is all allowed in this subforum because it focuses mainly on teaching you all how to role play. I will check this subforum as often as I can (usually every day) to answer any questions and make suggestions.
Okay first thing's first!
When role playing (unless stated otherwise by the owner of a role play) you will always follow these rules. They are the basic steps on learning how to role play:
1- Always capitalize words when they need to be capitalized.
2- Never ever EVER use chat (unless it's OOC (Out of Character) in a role play. So things like: lol, omg, thnx, wb, brb, gtg, dat, ur, u, 2, b....are usually NEVER ALLOWED in a role play).
3- ALWAYS READ THE RULES, PLOT, AND REQUIREMENTS POSTED ON THE FIRST PAGE OF A ROLE PLAY!!!
5- Do not post in first person unless stated otherwise by the owner of a role play.
6- ESPECIALLY do not post using those stupid little star thingies -----> **
So for example, things like: *goes to get cake* or: takes hand, or even: *i stalk off to my room* are NEVER allowed in a role play, EVER.
7- Always use correct grammar and check your spelling (I always reread my post before I post it to make sure it sounds and looks right). We are not 5th graders anymore!
8-USE ONLY YOUR CHARACTER!
9- You cannot kill off someone's character without the owner's consent!
