Kabichi was leading the way across the river as Chaka followed, the duo moving across the plains rapidly. Chaka had sighted Zebra, and both thought their families-- Chaka's sister and Kabichi's cubs-- would appreaciate the treat. Certainly safer than gazelle.
Both moved rapidly for the herd, anticipating.

Chaka pulled ahead as they finally scented the prey, looping around to pincir the herd. They moved silently, soon dropping to hide in the grasses as they advanced.
The zebra grazed silently; unawares of the coming danger. Chaka grinned. The more they got, the better the meal-- maybe even a feast.

Kabichi watched, tail wavering slowly as the herd grazed. Once sure Chaka was in position, the lioness signalled; tail raising enough for the leopardess to see.
The two charged silently, before each leapt on a zebra.
The animals squealed, fighting, for a few moments before Kabichi, then Chaka were pulled off of them.

Chaka looked up first, to see a white lion standing over both unhappily. Kabichi slowly rose, and Chaka did as well. The leopardess flattened her ears, speaking.
"What was that for? We're hungry!" She huffed. Kabichi nodded, frowning.
"Now they got away..." The lioness added meekly.

The male frowned.
"You shouldn't be hunting them! Their too young!" The male frowned. "Besides, why the babies?"
The male pouted.
"The rule of the Jungle doesn't ALWAYS have to apply!"

Chaka stared. What rock did HE crawl out from under? And what was the law of the jungle?
Kabichi, however, moved forward, sitting much like Mioyo, grooming her paw.
"Well, I don't know where you're from, stranger, but where I'm from, Zebras are dinner."

The male pouted.
"Well, my name's Kimba." The Kimba puffed up.
"Well.... Don't hunt here, then!" He straightened. "These Zebra are under my protection!"
Both females looked baffled.

Chaka stepped forward this time.
"What? So this is your land?"
The leopardess growled, hackles raising. "It doesn't look like it. You should mind your own business."
Chaka was practically hissing now, and Kabichi glanced at the female, frowning. The leopardess was sure to cause trouble now, and the lioness fidgeted uncomfortably.

Kimba frowned.
"Look, I really don't want to fight you... But if I have to..." The male crouched.
Chaka prepared to pounce when Kabichi grabbed her tail in her mouth.
"Come on, Chaka." The lioness said through muffled jaws. "Let's go. It's not worth fighting over."
Chaka pouted, but Kimba looked gratefully to the other lioness, nodding thanks.

Chaka sighed, following Kabichi away. Maybe they'd both find something else nearby, and the Kimba fellow couldn't interrupt.
Kabichi took a breath, simply grateful the confrontation was over before twitching her tail, moving for their area.
