Chaka followed Kabichi across the grasslands, occasionally distracted before following again. They'd been bickering over the largest animals there were, and Chaka refused to believe Kabichi's mother was as big as the lioness said. The debate had led to then walking to the den of the female, and mostly in silence.

Kabichi plodded on, leading Chaka to Mioyo's den calmly. She didn't think her mother would mind the company, and besides, she wanted to visit with her anyhow. closer to the den, the lioness roared, surprisingly loud for her small frame. Behind her, Chaka jumped, but them peered.

Mioyo emerged from her den slowly, and stretched. Vaskezu was off playing with Melhor again, so she was a bit surprised to see her daughter without him. Deciding she must have left them to Primitus's care, cub as he was, she padded over, then blinked at the leopardess following.
"Hello, Kabichi. ... Who's...?"
She eyed Chaka curiously.

Kabichi nodded her head politely.
"Mama, this is Chaka. We were talking about the biggest animals on the plains and she didn't believe you were biggest." The lioness said, calmly. Chaka studied the larger lioness quietly. She was gigantic; the size of many lions atleast. Maybe larger. She was the biggest one Chaka'd ever seen, and scarred too, meaning she was a fighter.
Well, THIS was definaitely INTERESTING atleast.

Mioyo studied the leopardess, settling into a more commanding position calmly, grooming her paw cooly.
"Well, then? What do you say now?"
She eyed the leopardess calmly, complacent. She was used to scaring others; intimidating them. It would probably be the same; and she really didn't care.

Chaka studied Mioyo a few moments more, then sat, suprisingly unphased.
"Well, you aren't -scary-," The leopardess said calmly. "But very large, I do agree."
Kabichi blinked.
Someone wasn't afraid of her mother? This was new.

Mioyo was surprised by the leopardess' comment, stopping mid-lick, before putting her paw down, chuckling deeply in her chest.
"Well, you're very brave, then, little one."
Mioyo stretched, grooming her daughter's ear before pining the other lioness down to groom.
Kabichi squeaked, but obeyed, letting her mother groom.
"Mamaaa!" The lioness pleaded. Mioyo chuckled.

Chaka watched the lionesses quietly. Mama...
She wondered if Auri remembered theirs; she didn't. A sudden heaving of sadness overtook her, and she rose, bowing her head.
"I see you'll be bonding a while. I... I should go."
The leopardess turned, moving away quietly.
Kabichi watched, silently, wondering. Was something wrong?

Mioyo watched Chaka leave, then looked to her daughter quietly.
"Is she alrght?"
Kabichi shrugged.
"I don't know, Mama.... I hope so."
Mioyo sighed, grooming her more, despite adulthood. Strange leopardess...
