[PRP] A Good Hunt (Dinzen&Arawn)

Another stroll away from the darkened pack grounds finds the hunting god in search of something interesting. Purple eyes dart between the trees in search of something moving in all of the green. "There will be prey here, I can smell it."

It works again! 8D;

The day wasn't that far in so it was around now Dinzen would stretch his legs and possibly find food if he was hungry. The black and green spotted ulaya was roaming the forest, hoping over logs when they came in his way. He looked around at all the plants surrounding him hoping to catch one rustle indicating food was near.

Realizing there wouldn't be food where he was he jumped on a fallen tree and glanced around. Thinking he heard something he darted off in the direction of the could be noise.

Ears perk at the sound of snapping twigs as something, seemingly large by the sounds of it, is headed in his direction. With a flick of his tail Arawn slips backwards into a good hiding spot to watch the direction of the sounds and pounce when whatever it is comes within range.

Starting to grow near where he thought the sound came from Dinzen started to crouch. He didnt really know if anything was there but better be safe then sorry. He slowly crept through the bushes and shrubs as his black and green pelt blended in with the surroundings, giving him perfect cover. Red eyes peered between branches as they laid upon a rabbit. The rabbit was unaware of Dinzen as it sat happily nibbling away on some small plants, still wet from the mornings dew.

With a single pounce Dinzen landed on the rabbit, making sure to kill it quickly. He prefered not wasting time when claiming a meal, unless he was only doing it for sport which was rare. He stood there victoriously as he planned where he was going to eat his meal.

Sensing a successful hunt nearby Arawn slowly creeps out from his spot to scan around for it. Perking his ears up, he starts crouching out. "Aha.. the scent of a fresh kill, that way." He turns and stalks to the left, all senses focused on tracking down where the hunt took place, before he spots the rabbit carcass.

A pity he doesn't spot the green and black male yet, he crouches low to watch and wait.

Finally making up his mind Dinzen let out a low yet deep purr of content as he started to walk off, rabbit dangling in his mouth. He figured he'd eat in a clearing, letting the sun warm him as he eats. "I almost felt bad for the thing. Never even sensed I was near. Poor things rabbits are, always needing to sharpen their senses yet never learning to." he started to say to himself, voice a bit muffled due to a rabbit being in it.

Before he got too far from where he killed his prey he stopped mid-step, turning his head slightly and eyeing the area behind him. He had a weird feeling but didnt know what it was due to.

Arawn contents himself to simply watch, pricking his ears at the voice. Aa, so this is who did the hunting. Clever, using their coloration to hide. Though the male's words spark amusement, and he sways his tail ever so slightly.

Once he seems to have his presence noticed, he casually slips out of a shadow before the hunter could leave. "If you preferred the prey to have more of a chance, then i could easily keep your hunts from succeeding as often."

Dinzen kept his ear turned for some time but eventually turned forward and started walking again. Hmm.... he thought to himself. It was probably a bird of something. He didn't really expect it to be anything of a threat so he pushed away the thought of a threat from his mind.

Eventually reaching the clearing Dinzen found a rock to lay on. Finding one of the proper size to his needs he jumped on it and placed the rabbit down. After stretching he laid himself down. With one paw over the rabbit he began poking it with his nose. His dark colors against the rock and light green grass made him stick out, though he didn't care because he was happy with his meal.

Arawn follows after the male silently, keeping his senses focused on the mortal to keep himself from failing in his 'hunt'. Seeing the male make the perfect mistake of choosing a rock and surroundings that give his location away so easily, he smirks and stalks closer in the shade of the trees until his gold jewelry is just barely in the exposed sun from the canopy to catch his prey's eye.

"Well well, a hunter not minding his game."

Dinzen started to tear into his rabbit. He was very careful about any blood stains and wished to keep himself clean so any amount of spilled blood was quickly cleaned.

Almost half done with the rabbit he had that feeling again. The same feeling he had before, right after catching his prey. He stopped what he was doing and lifted his head high. With eyes scanning his surroundings he made sure to see it all, for he was out in the open and would be at a disadvantage if he was threatened.

The sun was bright and blinded Dinzen when looking at certain things or in certain directions. With a trained eye one could pick up everything in the surrounding forest no matter what the conditions where with ease but Dinzen's wasnt as trained as it should be. He came across a sparkle in the dark colors of the forest but didnt know what it was from. Was it a glare from the sun off of something? What his eyes seeing spots? He for one didnt know. His eyes widened and stared. Unable to tell it's source he didnt know if he was to run or stay. At this point he stopped eating and stayed still.

Arawn smirks to himself, swaying his tail. So the male had seen his jewelry's shine had he? This made his game a little more interesting. Turning his head a bit to move one of the chains on his horns, he makes another little shine of metal and watches his target for a reaction.

Just as if it were planned Dinzen followed the shine. He tried focusing onto it hoping to see what it was but failed. Along with following the shine his hind legs slid under him in preparation of darting away quickly if necessary. His muscles tightened and shoulders shifted. His ears twitched and his grip on the rock grew stronger.

He forgot about his rabbit around now and was only interested in the shine that he saw. It moved so it must be some kind of creature, that's for sure. He was happy that he wasn't going crazy and seeing things but realized that the chance of it being a threat grew. He just needed to find a time to leave the area.

Arawn's smirk grows as he sees his target growing more tense at his little display. To test the male's nerves a bit more he raises a paw to purposefully place it back down and snap a twig. This was just too easy.

Dinzen started to find himself silly for getting nervous over a sparkle. It's just a sparkle, it doesnt have to be a threat. Though that did stop him from being a bit cautious.

His ear twitched and flicked in the direction of a new noise. A twig snapping near the shine let Dinzen know that the thing he was looking at must be big enough to snap a twig to make it sound like that.

Being how he didnt want to stay there any longer having something he didnt know possibly staring at him he decided it was time to go. Even in his hurry he was going to just dart off. He slowly stretched out his hind legs which raised him slightly, he looked like he was going to pounce on something and he grabbed his rabbit again. Apparently he was still aware it was there.

Arawn smirks gleefully as he can practically see the anxiousness dripping off of his prey. Swaying his tail behind him he crouches down to prepare himself to pounce, grinning all the while as the male seems to want to keep that little rabbit.

Waiting just a moment for good measure, he springs forward in a charge at the green and black male to catch him before he can run off.
