It was hard to go on, sometimes. It was hard to just put one paw in front of the next, to keep a steady pace through wind and rain.
She was tired of running, but if she stopped, she might get hurt.
Or hurt someone else.
The life of a wanderer was lonely and terribly depressing. Perhaps that's why she was going insane; a rogue on neutral territory that attacked for no reason. Someone to keep an eye on.
Sure, packs were recruiting. They always were. But they were recruiting spies and assassins and pup-sitters. They weren't recruiting crazy omegas with a deathwish. If they were, she'd no longer be a loner.
The sun glared down on her, angry and hot for June, and though her back was a saddle of brilliant pink, the purple fur underneath was nearly black and absorbed heat like a leaf absorbed water.
Bipolar's nose rose up and she caught the scent of water -- a river -- not too far from there. And so she was up and moving again. To swim would be a luxury...

Sun baked the back and shoulders of the moss green male, he was lazying abot under a tree next to a river that was flowing down the hill side.
He glanced up and too in a breath of the pine that surrounded him, longe with the rest of the woods. He was peaceful, there was nothing in the world that could wake him from this peaceful way.
Resting his silver adorned head on his striped paws he listened to the sounds that the earth made, this was his true happy home. The one place he could be peaceful. He saw the wolves that lived in cages and he would surely die.
Breathing......He was happy to have some quiet time to himself while Callisto was out looking for food for herself. She would be gone for a few days, and that gave him time to rest and relax before they started moving again.

Her paws hit the soft dirt in a soft thrum. With her head down and her eyes focused on nothing inparticular, she passed the emerald-pelted brute without a second thought. She was downwind. He could smell her, but she couldn't smell him.
She waded into the river, enjoying the current ripping at her chest, pulling at her fur. She buried her muzzle deep in the water, holding it under for as long as she could until her lungs burned.
And when she raised her head, she smelled him. Her hackles rose, but with her tail tucked, she was nothing. Slowly, she arched her neck to greet him -- green and silvergold... And he let off such an aura that if he was scentless, she would've never noticed him.
"Have you been there...the whole time?" Her voice was snappier than she'd intended, but she was startled.

Lifting his head, he looked straight into her eyes "Yes, i'm very sorry and i beg your forgiveness if i caused you any discomfort. I wasn't watching you, i was listening to the heartbeat your standing on" he was calm and paied no attention to her tone.
It took him a minute to regain his full senses, thats when he realizied that this was obisouly an omega, she held her tial between her legs. She was also very different colors, giving off the appearense of a joker, of a wolf that had been branded many times over.
He laied his head back down and closed his eyes still listening to the sounds of the earth "Have you heard her heartbeat? Just sat there and listened to it?" He asked not looking up at her. Mos wolves were too strung up to take the time to stop and listen to our one true mother.

The eye-to-eye stare the pair of wolves were sharing might've been conceived as a threat -- by a normal wolf, anyhow. Bipolar was far from normal and her eyes widened as he spoke. Heartbeat? That she was...what?!
She gave a yip and leapt to the side, sniffing the ground frantically, then pausing to try and hear this so-called heartbeat. Was something...alive...under there?? Surely, by the tone of his voice, he meant her no harm. After all...he didn't even stand up!
"W-What do you mean by heartbeat?" she demanded. "Who is she? Where is she?" Paranoia crept up on the brightly-pelted wolfess as she watched him, uncertain.

He chuckled and stood up finally revealing his strong build and a little over average height.
"The river" He told her walking over and sitting by the edge of the river "Can't you hear it? How it beats against anything and eveything in her path?"
He put his ear to the ground and closed his eyes listening. He was probally looking like a compleate physco to this wolf but she seemed to be on the same page as him.
"The earth is maginisific, the way our mother earth is always changing. Just like this river, rivers are the earths natural heart" He looked up at her again and smiled bowing slightly "I don't mean to frighten you miss, i just like to share"

She wasn't quite frightened of him...as she was of the fact that perhaps the earth was alive. Under her feet... What happened when she dug? Or when she drank? Was she destroying and consuming...her?
Bipolar hunked down slightly as the strange green wolf stood and meandered over to the riverside. Slowly, she followed suit, though after a glance over her shoulder.
She didn't feel it...the river. She didn't feel anything.
"Who...are you?" she asked with a cant of her head.

"Kato" He said bowing to her, she didn't seem to understand what he was talking about. "Can you not hear it?" He asked looknig up at her again.
It wasn't unusual for another wolf to not hear the heart beat of the world aronud them, spically for this wolf that looks so frighten. Liek he was gonig to hurt her.
"Might i ask what your name is? Or can i give you one?"

Kato... It fit him. He of the earth... He who heard something she didn't.
She tried. She fell silent. She even put her head to the ground. But nothing.
Finally, she shook her head in defeat. "I can't hear it. I'm Bipolar."

"Just relax, listen to the nature around you. The wind, the water and the plants" he told her stiing down and watching her.
Bipolar, yes she was different, her color striking. She was most definatly Bipolar. He thought for a moment then lapped at the water at his feet waiting for her to hear mother earth's heartbeat.

She watched the odd green wolf with a quirked brow, but nodded either way and slowly eased down to lay beside him, their bodies inches away from touching. She drank the cool water, then rested her muzzle in it and let her eyes flutter closed, trying to appease the male.
How was she supposed to hear something that didn't perhaps exist? Did the earth truly have a heartbeat?
Her ear twitched at a sound, though it was of a bird in the skies. She moaned and flopped to the side, one ear tickling the water's surface.
She didn't quite realize that, by attempting to hear the earth, she wasn't on edge like usual. She was laying beside a stranger and her mind was quiet.

He laied down and looked over at her. "so you can hear it?"
It seemed as though she had changed into a complatly different wolf, she was calm aronud him. He smiled and listend to the wind whip around his ears.
"Your calm, you have listened and heard. Peaceful isn't it?"
his tail dipped in the water and made a small ripple that gradually got bigger as it wound through the water.

"Not really," she admitted, but here he was, saying she had. Her head tilted to one side, an ear flopping over.
She watched his tail dangle just atop the water's surface, watched the ripples race outwards, calm, content.
"So...she doesn't really have a heartbeat? It's just like, meditation or something?"

He nodded "Yes in a way" He said streching out a little.
"So what brings you here? Your a omega correct?" He asked looking at her figure it was pretty obious. Most omegas were undernurished and held their tails between their legs.

Omega? "If you mean I'm the low man on the totem pole, then yes. But I'm packless for now," she admitted, cocking her head.
"What does it matter?"
