Well, the calendar does show that it's June - even though I'm still wearing sweaters and contemplating wearing my thermals.
When it's hot (warm) I love making juices and smoothies - though I find that some fruit/veggie combinations don't work really well.
So, I'm wondering what you guys like putting together. My personal favourite is banana and avocado with a bit of rice/soy/almond milk to make it less viscous.

mmmhhhh smoothies!
One of my regular ones is 1 banana plus about 1.5 c soy milk and 3 or 4 ice cubes. Blend it all together until it's all frothy and I swear it tastes like a vanilla milkshake.
Also yogurt + mango + soymilk + ice cubes is very tasty.

I need to drag my juicer out of whatever box it's in and find a place for it... I've ordered new furniture so I'll have an extra work table in my kitchen soon, I'll do it then i guess. ^_^ I'm very partial to carrot/ginger juice. SO YUMMY. Doesn't really work as a smoothie though ^_^
As far as smoothies go I am very partial to strawberries and peaches.

Haha, yup.
Has anyone tried green smoothies? Although, I think you kindof need a vitamix or other high speed blender to properly break down the greens??

I pretty much make this smoothie all the time.
Into your blender put :
2 bananas 3 ice cubes a good squirt of honey lots of cinnamon
then add some vanilla soymilk until it reaches the 1 cup line, and blend. It's like a super tasty cinnamon milkshake. heart

Watermelon Juice Smoothie
I scooped out all the innards from half a small watermelon and blended it in a blender. Then i added in some raw honey and blended it all together on high until it was a frothy delight.
It tasted so good. I bet this would even be better with some mint leaves and crushed ice.

She never knew the difference!

I love juices. If you cut up the following and put it through a juicer, you're in for good times (good times full of citric acid, but still good times).
4 apples 2 oranges 1 lemon 1 lime and a handful or two of cut up pineapple.

I love having green smoothies in the morning. I made a new smoothie this morning that I had not tried. It consisted of bananas, frozen raspberries, spinach, a little cinnamon, and some water to blend well. It was very sweet and refreshing.
