Hey, how many of you guys are going to be participating in FW? It kind of is the whole point of the new expansion.

Personally, I will just be benefiting from it, because I mine, and therefore supply minerals to the mass of people who are going to get ships asploded up.

Also, for a future expansion, I would love to see more space added. Maybe anotehr 250 systems or something that causes another 'gold rush' as alliances try to take over and hold the new territory.

What about you guys?

As a pirate, I think it's great. It's given value back to low-sec bringing more people for us to kill/ransom.

I'm hopeful this will revive the almost dead piracy in eve. whee

I don't know whether to join the militia or not. Are there options once you join? From the page about it, it seems more like you'll be forced into fighting only, and as a miner, that's hardly what I want to do.

I joined a militia on one of my chars. It's like basically declaring war on the two opposing factions (Amarr and Caldari vs Minmatar and Gallente).

You can freely fly around in any highsec space you or your ally control. (For example Amarr can go into Amarr and Caldari space.) But if you enter a highsec system controlled by an opposing faction, the faction police will open fire on you. They do a ton of damage, but do not warp scramble, so I've heard if you're in a fast ship you can quickly jump through enemy space without being killed.

So pretty much you are still safe in your faction and your allied faction's highsec space to do mining, trading, missions ect.

I personally am not interested in PvP, but I'm interested in the faction missions. Anyone have any info on them? (As in, do they require groups, what rewards do you get from them, etc.)

With the FW and stuff, I was able to for the first time to explore low sec space biggrin
But I was thinking,Not as many people would focus on setting up their P.O.S's due to the FW. So I could probably buy a P.O.S and place it in a low sec system. But it take a long time to do so. (money wise)

Not sure about rewards, but as far as I know, the missions pretty much all need a group.
