Winter Arena

User Image

Description: As one walks in, they will see that the arena is now a lot smaller than the previous one, seeming to be starting some type of pattern. Now, the fighting area is only 100 yards in diameter, the ground covered in two inches of snow over soiled ground underneath, and the temperatures being a cold 20 degrees Fahrenheit, despite the ceiling being open with the sun shining down. However, there is no sign of a designated platform, meaning the entire area is pretty much game. 25 yards from the stands each are 10 feet blocks of ice, designated at each corner of the arena, blocky with no definite shape, yet can be stood upon with the right footing. The blocks are so thick, however, that breaking them is not something of ease, or melting them. In the middle, with a diameter of 30 yards is a sitting pool of water iced over with a nice firm sheet of ice, the water underneath being 10 feet deep. However, if it takes too much stress, the ice can easily break.

Ten Count Boundary: The ten count starts as soon as someone goes over the twenty foot wall into the stands, or into the pool of water. If a person is already in a counted area and the other fighter enters in, the count is reset. If a person is being forced to stay in a counted area against their own will, for example, by being binded by an indirect attack (such as vines, tendrils, etc.), then the count stops. However, the count continues if a person is using their own body to keep the other fighter down AND have no part of their body inside the fighting zone (as well as being at least five yards away from the fighting zone). In this case, the count is being counted against both members.

The hazardous temperatures within the region seem to be very formiable for any fighter entering for this round of the tournament. Restless already Muso whom was standing onto one of the 10 feet blocks of ice corner with precise footing, wearing his tightly embrace Suit of Might that squeezed his muscles thus wearing it required alot of martial skill to be capable of wearing it.

Highly skilled and dedicated this martial artist was growing restless since the lack of combat in the previous round. He was fully rested and ready to commence with the battle no matter what terrain he was engulfed into for combat. The pupils reveals a passionate warrior who lived for this s**t and now he awaited for his adversity known as Fierce to make his entrance.

::The quiet stranger appeared in the new arena, nearby one of the walls. Teleportation wasn't allowed during matches, but it made getting to them easier. Now the room was not unlike a refrigerator, if not a little more spacious. Still fairly large at three hundred feet across, with a few small chunks of ice thrown in to spice things up. So to speak. Deity looked around to take in the new setting. The temperature thankfully wouldn't be much of a hindrance to the Orinian in particular, but the large pool of water at the center of the stage could pose a problem. He'd need to stay on his toes.

Looking as young as his late teens he stood tall and slender at just over 6'4", what skin was visible being rather pale. His long black hair cascaded across the back of his neck, held down by a wide-brimmed black fedora. A thick red bandana was wound over his brow, foggy one-way lenses in his glasses masking his eyes and working with the red fabric and the hat to pretty much hide his face. Crossing from the bridge of his nose across his right cheek was a marred, narrow scar.

Deity now wore a sturdy brown leather jacket with the bottom hem falling a few inches past the waistband of his pants, the jacket itself left unzipped. Underneath that could be seen a fitted red tanktop, a skintight grey material worn underneath that reached halfway up the length of his neck. He wore padded leather gloves that were strapped along his arms some length into the sleeves of his jacket. His gloves appeared somewhat lighter than they had before. While they themselves were fingerless, a softer, rubbery material was worn underneath to conceal his digits as well.

Over his tucked-in shirt was a pair of black jeans, loose enough to collect into baggy wrinkles around his ankles. A sturdy plastic appliance was connected to the back of his belt; it held up the dull metal sheath of a narrow sword behind his hips, the black cloth-bound handle curved slightly. The scabbard stretched only two and a half feet in length - more or less resembling a katana.

Keeping silent as his thick boots crunched through the snow, the boy slipped his gloved fingers into the pockets of his jeans as he caught a glimpse of his opponent, perched atop one of the frozen boulders. The fact that this stranger - Muso, whoever he was - was even here was a blessing. Deity's much-anticipated opponent from the last round remained so, and never showed up. A sigh floated visibly from his cold lips as he approached the aforementioned Muso.::

Clearly focus and determined Muso would be confirm he was typically prepared considering how hyped he was to engage into combat. Due towards the lack of a battle the previous round and the thrashing that was delivered during the first round made him pump, thus no longer playing around and yearning to cause carnage to his opponent.

Enteing a typical boxing stance, he would raise his arms while having the legs spread at shoulder width. Standing on the balls of his feet, he was positioned from his location as those menacing eyes continue to glance at his adversity Deity. The powerful Suit of Might would bring some durability and altogether keep him with some heighten strength. Within the same height yet differing in weight from his massive built he would acknowledge him with a nod before addressing him.

::The tall boy gazed up at his opponent, hidden eyes examining the unknown man's posture. He certainly was raring to go, though why he had not come down from his frozen perch was unknown thus far. Deity wasn't going to fight atop a small surface of unstable ice if he was already surrounded by a plentiful quantity of unstable snow to fight on. His long legs brought him to a stop some six meters from the block of ice that Muso was standing on, Deity's hands still snug in his pockets. His pale lips curved into a soft grin as he rose his left hand toward his opponent, gesturing idly with his fingers to persuade his adversary into coming down before declaring battle.

As he finished he readied himself as well, positioning his left foot forward with the angle of his right knee keeping his balance toward the rear. His left hand was balled into a very relaxed fist away from his body and just above waist left, his right on the other hand held nearer his ribcage. The Orinian's posture wasn't very tense yet, his aura relaxed as he awaited his opponent's first move, be that returning to the ground or just attacking outright.::

Shifting from his position the martial artist landed directly onto the ground, where he would be close to the overall distance with Deity. With a menacing smile he would make his next move, entering his previous stance while staying relaxed. Observing his adversity it wasn't too common to obviously stay on the defensive, thus instead of analyzing he would rush in.

Sprinting he would separate the overall distance between them, performing a shuffle step while entering the Peek-a-boo boxing style, involving oneself to have the hands placed in front of the boxer's face and bringing the elbows tight to the body although this was a beginner guard. Currently dashing in, he was known within boxing to deliver unique brutal strikes, only showing how destructive the hybrid warrior was in combat. Standing on the balls of his feet made him more agile, thus his footwork was good as well. Awaiting for him to decide the next cource of action, he moved at mid-speed due towards the ice and the fact running in altogether is naive.

::The quiet Tonepian remained where he was as his opponent advanced, deciding to open the fight with the first attack himself. As Muso entered within a one meter range of Deity's lead foot he half-stepped to his right and pivoted on the ball of his left foot, turning his heel inward. Essentially Deity simply stepped lightly to his right - his opponent's left - as he moved into his attack. The leather of his rear boot creaked as it left the icey ground during this movement - the boy snapped a swift roundhouse toward Muso's left knee with his right calf, his left arm pulling in and his right falling away to maintain his balance. The angle of the boy's kick moved his shin upward toward the knee, his foot firm in order to follow through with the impact and pull the leg out from under Muso as he advanced.::

Pausing while he launched an attack, Deity indeed was attempting to cripple his movements during combat. Due towards the mi pace he bestowed himself in motion, the fierce Muso was quite prepared to fend off the assault from Deity. Pinpointing the roundhouse near the leg region, a practicer of Muay Thai he had grand knowledge on the overall defenses applied against strikers.

To hinder his movement, the left leg would be raised, properly using the upper portion of a raised shin to perform a shin block to become the critical element towards a useful defense against his formiable opponent. As he watched him advanced, Muso acknowledged his presence though would wait for him to travel into his direction.

::No counterattack, he thought curiously to himself. Muso's block was effective, but he failed to follow the defense with an attack of his own. Whatever he was waiting for, the Orinian had no intention of joining in and contributing to the pause. As soon as his kick it Muso's defense, Deity's boot bounced away a trivial distance before rising and snapping out again to continue the speedy assault.

He raised his leg and rotated his hips appropriately as he attacked again, now aiming a second kick at his opponent's pelvis on the left side. With Muso's leg not having recovered from the block and both of his arms high up to his torso and face, he had no feasible means of defense against the swift lower kick, and the Tonepian's long limbs ensured that he remained far enough away to react effectively against a counterattack.::

((My Edit Deity))

Was his opponent naive? Any Muay Thai practicer would be capable of recovering after a kick like that, having his shins harden at all times , thus if required recovery wasn't going to be too difficult for him. Assumptions would only bring misfortune for those believing such a kick was that hazardous to a muscular warrior such as Muso Ragori. Countering with an additional shin block, even if it was bold he was stay on the defensive one last time

A longer reach made things formiable during this bout, but overall he was testing out the opponents movements. If Deity was this threatening he should conduct a good move or else he's doom within the next turn as he gave his opponent all the free shots thus far with defending them since strengthening bone and muscle was required for the conditioning of using one body to help weaken attacks with those blocks.

::Truly an odd character, and certainly a flexible one. Apparently Muso could place his right shin directly next to his hip in order to guard against Deity's second of a series of blows. Okay. While it was interesting it also left his other leg open. Rebounding from the second block Deity pulled his right knee in and immediately his leg darted out again. He fired a sharp, straight kick to the inside of Muso's exposed left knee, his boot turned sideways so that his thick heel would make up the most of the attack.

As the Orinian continued his swift assault he lowered his center of gravity by bending his left leg and pivoting his left heel further, his weight in the ball of his foot - he furthermore pulled his balance away from Muso to keep himself steady by leaning his upper torso slightly back, and down to his left. His left hand remained near his face, right arm held away to his right as his third kick flew.::
