Since I'm now a mainlander now, I've noticed there are a ton of L&L's all over the U.S. Do you think L&L is overrated. I was ok with the ones on the island but it seems the ones on the mainland have some substandard local fare.
What do you think?
p.s. I heart Zippy's.

I don't go to L&L, I go to Zippys! XD
My uncle really seems to like L&L though. He said they have good Loco Moco or something...

it'd okay L&L. But I live on Kauai and we have no zippys crying but they will put one on Kauai soon (who knows when). I like L&L because they make good Egg Drop Corn soup. but Zippys has awesome chili and Chicken

L&L's in Hawaii are like the BOMBEST places ever! but i still heat zippy's =)

ynitsed19 it'd okay L&L. But I live on Kauai and we have no zippys crying but they will put one on Kauai soon (who knows when). I like L&L because they make good Egg Drop Corn soup. but Zippys has awesome chili and Chicken I remember when I was young(er), they had a Zippy's in Kapa'a. The one thing I remember most about it is that it had no windows. But then it closed down after Hurricane Iniki I think.

I'm on the mainland too, but when I'm home it's Zippys all the way. Chili on spaghetti - ONO!

l&l is da bomb, but zip's is also da bomb! i think may be grace's coz they gots $1.50 chow fun!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Their Katsu rules but not as good as Da Kitchen. Still they're good though.

StupidGenius I don't see any L&L's in the mainland where I live. stare L&L is I think only on the West Coast from Cali to Washington. there's a L&L in Waianae but not a Zippi's, so it depends on if I'm going out to Kapolei or if I just want some Katsu (loves Katsu!!) or a beefstew bowl. All my Ewa beach friends swear by the Zippi's fried chicken but I'd rather get some Popeye's.

They charge like a fancy restaurant but the food is no better than burger king. In fact I think burger king food actually tastes better than zippy's.

hmmm..... I think Zippys is better. I canʻt stand the salad they make at L&L. Yuck!! My family and I go to Zippys whenever we fly to Oʻahu. But I think Kenʻs Pancake House is the bomb. Lots of fond memories.
