Myrddin was not happy, not the least bit. He had spent almost a year traveling after his escape from that battle hell. He would never forget the face of that Wind that had helped him grant his freedom, but nor would he spare his life. It wasn't in his nature.
His fiery gaze glanced up at the peaks that rose high above him and he snorted. To actually fly up to its heights or to continue walking to its roots. His stomach gave another growl of hunger. Walking it would be since he needed to hunt and sate the pangs that had spoken.
He ambled forward slowly, keeping his presence as unnoticeable as possible--despite is greater bulk than a normal Kalona.

Saphira was rather content at the moment, and she was taking a leisurely stroll through a meadow she had recently found. She only grunted when she noticed an array of animals flee from her presence, since the loneliness was a constant in her life. Apparently she was STILL scary to look at, even though many other crazy creatures existed in the land. She wanted to think that she was charming, or rather pretty, but that was apparently off in everyone else's eyes. Hm. At least SHE thought she was pretty.
Well no matter, beauty wasn't her main goal or sacrifice anyways. But she DID hope to cure some of the loneliness she had in her life, since it had been months since she last talked to anyone. When she pieced those thoughts together, she seriously realized how dull her life really was. "Things will start looking up!" she then said, as she trotted forward a bit. She liked to hope that every new season brought a new change in her life, and now that summer was approaching, she would hope for the best! Or at least hope for some sort of change.
Even if times were hard in her life, Saphira never had a problem staying positive content. She enjoyed her quiet time anyways.. but now she was ready for a change!

A familiar shade of blue caught the green Kalona's red eye: Saphira. Happy to spot her one and only friend again, the only one person she has ever been able to relate to, Gwee quickly greeted her friend. "Saphira," she said, being sure to use her strong voice. Even if Saphira is her friend, she knew she must still be intimidating. Anything else could hurt her reputation.
As Gwee starting moving closer to Saphira, she noticed a squirrel running away from her blue friend. The squirrel stopped in its tracks once spotting Gwee. Gwee gave it a light smile and stepped on its head with her hoof, then swooped him up with her tail, tossing it into the air and catching him in her mouth. She let out a short stream of fire to quickly roast the squirrel in her mouth as she began to eat. What a tasty quick treat.[
"Its been a long time, nice to see you again," she said, once she finished chewing. There was much that Gwee needed to talk to her about. Her new family, for instance. The two children who entered and ruined her life. If only she could relive her past, she'd make sure they would never have the opportunity to be brought into this world. It was her own mistake, not noticing that her 'partner' was not a full Kalona, tainting her pure and special bloodline, cursing her with impure children.

He was following the trail of a rabbit when he heard voices in the distant. His ears swiveled and brushed a few times against the long black horns that protruded from his skull. Yes, there were voices, a name called on the wind. If he would have the chance to eat something larger and more filling than a poor bunny, he'd be happy to get a closer look.
He tucked his leathery wings closer to his body as he stepped towards the sounds he had heard. A light breeze swept down towards him and carried their scent. He stopped cold in his tracks at the familiar smell of his kind. Then he finally caught a glimpse of them through the underbrush, noting wings, scales, and horns of different shape and color. He wasn't sure if he should make his presence known yet, and so waited and listened. Hopefully his stomach wouldn't give him away.

What a pleasant surprise! Saphira watched as her friend gracefully entered the area, and she chuckled lightly at Gwee's response to the squirrel. "Its nice to see you again too." she then responded, while tilting her head lightly. "You look well, and yes, its been far too long it seems!" She felt relieved in knowing that Gwee had remembered her, since insecurity was funny like that. Sometimes Saphira would wander on her own for months, and she always wondered if anyone remembered her at all... but alas, her friend did! That made the surprise even better.
"What have you been up to?" she then asked, while glancing around the quiet area. She THOUGHT she had heard something, but she wasn't sure what. Maybe it was another squirrel or something.. Saphira was usually pretty keen on noticing those things. But at the moment, her senses were too relaxed to be focused at all. She wanted to focus on Gwee instead, and learn of her friend's endeavors. "Maybe there are more squirrels for you to play with!"

Gwee knew she had heard something. Perhaps it was just her paranoia. The fear that her daughters were out to kill her for what she had done to them. Oh well, she'd be able to take those halfling curses of offspring down rather quickly. She just wished she had done it sooner. If only they didn't escape their baskets while they were on fire.
Gwee could tell Saphira had heard something as well. "Lets hope its just a squirrel," said Gwee. Gwee looked around her surroundings for any sign of other life. As she searched the premises, she spoke to Saphira. "I've been looking for my daughters, mostly. Unfortunately they are still alive, but I'll make sure they'll be dead once I'm through with them." She said this loud enough so that if her daughters were around, they'd have fair warning that she is prepared to fight. "How about yourself, Saphira? Any daughters your out to kill?" She gave a teasing smile to Saphira as she went back to looking around.

Well, it seemed that he had no choice but to make his presence known in case one of them decided to come and attack him for trespassing. Making certain that his wings were tight against his flanks, he stepped through the underbrush, twitching the scales on his body to free any loose leaves or other debris from his person.
"Uh--sorry about the intrusion, ladies," he said regally as he came closer. "I apologize for my rudeness of eavesdropping, but it's been so long since I've seen the gleam of horns and scales on another." He placed a hoof forward and bowed, pulling one wing towards his chest before straightening. His molten gaze flickered between the two. "The name is Myrddin of the Red Dragons. I-uh-hope I wasn't interrupting a reunion of sorts."

Saphira was utterly confused at Gwee's statement towards killing her daughters. She had no idea why anyone would kill their offspring, and she only blinked slightly before feeling more shock from the approaching stallion. He had scales like her and horns and spikes that she had herself! She wasn't sure if she should inquire about Gwee's family situation, so instead she took the opportunity to introduce herself to the now joined- stallion.
"No no, no need to apologize." she then said, with a light head bob. "It is nice to meet you Myriddin, I am Saphira." she had no catchy title to her name- if she did long ago, it was very lost in her memories or thoughts at this point. She felt like her past was just a blur sometimes, and it was that confusion that drove her crazy sometimes. "And likewise, Gwee is really the only other dragon I know of, so it is a pleasure to meet another. She and I were catching up, so you are welcome to join in."

Gwee was rather stunned, for a change. Another dragon. Why, she had been waiting for this day for a very long time. "Well, hello there, Myrddin. My name is Gwee," she said in an eerily polite manner atypical of Gwee. She couldn't help but be polite, after all, this is the third dragon she had ever met after a lifetime of searching. "Its rather nice to meet another dragon for me as well, we are quite rare. And quite gifted as well." Gwee could not help but have her mind fixated on one thing that Myddrin had mentioned when he introduced himself, 'Mydrinn of the Red Dragons'. Dragons? Implying there are others. The thought fascinated her. "So tell me Myddrin, how many other dragons have you encountered in your past?" she asked, lowering her voice.

He was feeling more at ease since both of the ladies seemed happy for his company. His pride and confidence boosted up even more at their words and he could feel his chest practically swelling--that is until they both stated how rare their kind were here in these lands.
He glanced once more between the two, they did seem rather odd in coloring compared to what he'd grown accustom to with his old homelands. He kept his head held high, but still felt the stirrings of discomfort take flight again in the pit of his stomach. "So we're rare in these lands?" He was disappointed in such news.
"Where I come from, we dragons had our own island to ourselves. Gold, white, black, blue, red, green, bronze," he listed off with a wistful sigh. "We once blanketed the skies with our leathery wings if all of us took flight. It was constant battle to keep your bed from another. It seems I have to start all over here, but with less competition."

"I'm afraid so." she then added, while nodding at Saphira and Myrddin. "I've met another mare named Scathe, but she is busy up in the mountains for the most part." Scathe was a good friend of hers as well, and she had scales that could match even Myrddin's! "Oh, I think you will find little competition here." she then admitted, while having a similar experience. Although her experienced ended with complete destruction, leaving her as one of the last from her time.
"But there are creatures like Kalona who enjoy such competition." She was sure Gwee understood what she meant, though Saphira was sure the whole dragon explanation was confusing for anyone new. "Dragons are very scare, and it is somewhat depressing." Saphira had given up for many months, but at least another could join in on what the land had. "Did you come along on your own, or did you bring any comrades?" It might have been a dumb question, but Saphira was always curious.

Gwee was also rather curious if Myrddin had arrived to these lands with any other dragons in company, but she couldn't take her focus away from what Myrddin had said. An island of dragons? The idea had fascinated her. She must see this place, at last she could be at home! "An island of dragons..." she repeated, still in awe. Gwee would only be able to believe it by seeing it with her own eyes. But first, she needed to know the answer to Saphira's questions. Did Myrddin bring any fellow dragons?

He shook his head to answer their question. He'd only known one other that had fled with him and he wasn't even a dragon but a white wind. "I was stolen from my home by some meat-bags. They placed an enchantment on me and I was locked behind bar until one fateful battle." His amulet seemed to shine brightly in the sunlight.
"The one that had placed the enchantment on me, he was the best meal I have had, though on a little too crunchy for my palate." He remembered how the dome had cracked with the force of the battle and all the magic that was woven through the building broke with just the crumbling of stone. The crowd had fled screaming from them, but his captor had been rooted to the spot and he'd devoured him and the spell was broken on his new accessory.

"It seems like you have had many hardships in coming here." Saphira then lowered her eyes, knowing that she and Gwee most likely had the same problems as well. Was that a burden of their race, to always be plagued by something or another? Saphira hated considering the possibilities, and also hated acting sad on the subject. "I refuse to hide or run away from our honor, I've always been proud as a dragon so I was relieved to see that you are another one yourself. That's why Gwee and I found each other, since we know we need to stick together for the good of the cause." Child-like eyes drifted from Gwee's to the male's, and Saphira was truly thankful to be surrounded by them both at this moment.
