Hiya:

Whats non clasical logic do u recomend me to study?

Im intrested in study non clasical logics, but im not sure which ones, i've found logics like: Quantic logic, and boolean, but im not sure wich one i want from all logics i can study.

I'm undergraduate in maths with 3 years yet to study, I want ur opinion on what kinda logic should i study (other than mathematical logic) , for future work or just for fun.

Well, that would depend on your interests, no?

If you've three years to go, my advice would be to get even more acquainted with classical symbolic logic (although I suspect this is what you mean by "mathematical logic") and outright master naive set theory, rather than be content with simply knowing them. They are absolutely essential for the mathematician, especially for upper-level classes like real or functional analysis, metric spaces, topology, etc. This advice goes triple if you're thinking of continuing of doing mathematics after your undergraduate studies.

If you're interested in Boolean logic, study a bit of algebra first (the abstract kind, not the algebra over the reals you've done in grade school). A general Boolean logic is just a Boolean algebra, after all. Something to consider would be Bayesian logic, which has direct and obvious connections to probability theory.

Other than that, well, it's hard to say what you "should" study. There are certainly many other logics, e.g., higher-order logics (the standard symbolic logic if first-order), modal logics (having to do with necessity and contingency), paraconsistent logics (denying that everything follows from a contradiction), various fuzzy and multi-valued logics, and many others besides.

Well if I could give s word on what you should take, I suggest you take if you don't haven't already a course in set theory, proof theory ect. It's very heavy upon the courses you need, and helps you understand the set up of proof and draws upon the logic you have done already if you have done it yet.

Ok ty guys, i already took superior algebra, and linear algebra, soon modern algebra. And i've been workin classical logic from a long time.

About sets theory, imma take the subject this semester 3nodding

Ty for ur advices. biggrin

I'm going to change the question to: Whats ur favorite logic and why?

About an interest..hmmm, a lots, i want most kind of knowldage for my main interest: AI.
