Alaize sat nestled between three thick branches high in a tree. Wind whipped her silver hair across her fair-featured face, and she sighed, dragging her fingertips over the katana sitting in her lap. Watching the road far below her, she shifted and caught a lone leaf that dared to fall from its place. Down the walk, she spotted a young woman and sat upright. The woman's unfamiliar scent surrounded her. Tense, she looked through the green and brown leaves of the tree. And who might you be..? she thought, cloaking herself in shadows.

Elena continued walking along the path, the wind ruffling her hair. She had her hand on the hilt of her sword, poised for attack.

mean while lil hali is in the lake near the forest, swimming around when she decides it's time to join the surface world. She swims to the top and begins to exit the water when she hears rustling in bushes near by. She stops dead, turns invisable and watches everything around her, [glancing once or twice towards where her weapons are hidden]

Arage was lying still in his bed, staring at the ceiling. He was in his hideout, away from all the monsters and dead wandering the earth. He yawned, bored out of his mind.

Elena continued walking through the forest. She needed to find a safe place to rest, she had been up for more than 24 hours and she was exhausted.

Arage's place was settled deep within the forest, hidden by a canopy of trees. After what people call 'God's Forsakening', he found out he could control anything made of an earthen substance. And he used this to his advantage, from making traps around his home to even disguising his house as a giant boulder.

Arage was too lazy to make any complicated traps. Most of his were just the usual rope-tied-to-a-tree, and that's what Elena stepped onto. Quickly, a vine wrapped itself around her foot as it hoisted her into the air, suspending her.

Elena screamed out of surprise but quickly shut her mouth. Elena dangled in the air for a little bit, trying to figure out what happened. She then turned her head up to look at the vine, a small fire ball began to form in her palm but soon disappeared. She was too exhausted to use fire, she cursed quietly under her breath.

Alaize started at the sound of a young woman's scream. Looking up, she noticed the woman dangling precariously from a thick vine and tilted her head. Leaping from the tree, she walked silently to the woman, katana drawn, and stared up at her, Alaize's red eyes searching her's. Without word, she grasped her katana with both hands and raised it high above her head, swinging at the vine. With careful aim, she sliced at the plant. The young lady fell from the trap as the sheathed her weapon.
