This RP is for Nova and myself... please no posting otherwise.Nitika was restless these days as her eyes kept focusing on those three baskets she stood near. Her mind was clearly wandering to how Kakashi would handle this news since it had been a while since she was last with him. Would he be angry or harsh she wondered? No, he wasn't like that she protested, but she was nervous how he'd take this news overall in the first place. Craning her neck downward she nuzzled those secret baskets wondering what was lying within there. Would they be strong and brave? Curious and free? So many things she pondered and yet the idea was endless.
For now she'd wait and see with patience and hope Kakashi was just as excited as she was.

Wandering about, Kakashi wasn't sure where Nitika was but she was definitely on his mind. He was feeling a tad tired and when Nitika got pregnant... his reaction was... strange. He was so confused because that was the last thing he was expecting. Kakashi wasn't sure what kind of father he would be... he was worried. Very worried.
He was walking about and then he noticed a familiar dark figure in the distance. His heart almost stopped as he saw her craned over something. Could it be... The stallion walked towards her with a smile on his face hoping that it wasn't what he was expecting. They came altogether too quickly and he needed to gather his thoughts. Kakashi called out to her, "Nitika!" He hoped he didn't startle her.

On the contrary she wasn't startled at all as her eyes flicked toward him in welcome. The tall winged mare was quite relived that Kakashi had arrived when he did. "Kakashi! Oh you're here now!" she called out nearly in a lost breath as she left her basket watch to sneak a nuzzle to him.
Looking at the male with soft eyes she smiled, "There they are, and soon they'll be walking." she mused with a little laugh, "Tell me how do you feel about everything? I mean this was all so sudden and I..." she frowned a bit but blinked away a stray tear. This was no time to be sad now that there were going to be little winged ninjas prancing about. She looked back at him with another smile, "I'm very happy you stayed with me... Thank you Kakashi."

Kakashi's breath was taken away as Nitika nuzzled him. He glanced at the baskets fondly. They were so beautiful and he couldn't help but have a certain fondness for them. They were his children and they were going to look like him and Nitika. Wow. New life was so beautiful and Kakashi appreciated it so much. "I'm not.. quite sure." Frowning, Kakashi didn't like seeing her upset. "Don't be sad... please... Everything's just happening so quickly. There's a lot to do before they arrive and I really need to prepare myself. I don't think I'll be a very good father." Shrugging, Kakashi didn't mind that he probably wouldn't be the best but he just wanted them to be happy. His children and Nitika. "Of course I would stay with you Nitika." Smiling softly at her, Kakashi knew that everything would be alright.

Nitika was relieved for though he was doubtful he didn't regret staying with her. Finally there was someone that wouldn't let her hanging when she needed to feel loved and appreciated. Okay well her parents might be upset he wasn't born with wings, but its the love that counted more than the typical routine of making your parents happy right? Besides as far as Nitika knew... she was the first in the family to further her life and bring new life into the world. In all it was worth passing her parents' ideals if she was truly happy from it.
"Well... its a surprise... but knowing you'll stay makes me feel like the luckiest mare alive right now." She mused looking at each basket wondering what lied there sleeping peacefully till the day they arrived. "I don't know how either of us will fare, but if we try our best raising them we can't lose right?" In truth she was worried but Nitika knew with his help they'd grow into fine adults. First thing was first.. they needed to come out and see the world.

He would have never left her no matter how confused he was. Kakashi was loyal and would stick with those that were close to him no matter what. Smiling softly at her, Kakashi felt a little awkward when she complimented him like that just because he was a modest soquili and didn't like to brag or boast even if he was really good at something. Gazing at the baskets fondly, Kakashi was beginning to feel a little better about the new arrivals. He wondered what they would look like...
Kakashi nodded slightly at her. "Yes, I'm sure everything will turn out fine." He smiled at her again really hoping that everything would be alright. He wasn't sure if either of them were ready for the huge responsibility that came with children but all they could do was do their best.

She was about to answer him with a smile when the baskets began moving with the stirrings of life within those sleeping cradles. Perking her ears she turned abruptly to look at them in wide curiousity before nuzzling Kakashi.
"Oh I'm nervous. What do you think they'll do when they come out?" she asked with a naive question. For the more the babies stirred she became anxious. Each time one would jump or wiggle her heart would soar wondering which had wings and Kakashi's looks. Everything was swirling in her mind as they made their way into the world.
Perhaps she was first or second of the three as a filly pushed upward and looked out toward the new surroundings. Her eyes were red as the setting sun, coat was deep as the ocean waves. She was a curious sort looking out at her parents trying to grasp where she was. So long it seemed she was nested in darkness growing stronger everyday. Now she was free to breathe the air and let light soak in those crimson eyes. Nosing off the lid she tried standing as she fell out in a clumsy manner toward her mother feeling her legs strengthen.

Smiling at her slightly, Kakashi had all of those questions running about in his mind and tried to answer her. "I have no idea. Possibly soon though?" Kakashi was completely uneducated about the ways of the basket and foals... Raising a brow, the stallion gazed at the little navy blue basket as the little one emerged. His eyes went wide. "Nitika..." He just continued to stare at the baskets as they began to emerge.
Little Konoha poked his head out into his environment. It felt like they had been stuck inside those baskets for ages. He wanted to see what was going on! He kept hearing the same two voices and he wanted to see who they were. Looking next to him, Konoha saw his sister emerge too. Wow. Was this... his family? He wasn't even sure what that word meant just yet. His fur was a little lighter then Kunai's. Konoha looked up at his family curiously, eyes wide unsure of what to say. He didn't even bother climbing out of the basket but he just sat inside staring up at his parents.

The filly blinked over at her brother wondering why he wasn't coming out to see these bigger versions of themselves. This new world was so.... oh she couldn't describe it with her limited words yet. Big. Cautiously she stepped up to the taller one with the shiny thing on his forehead and tilted her head. Eyes gleaming of the crimson hued sun she questioned what that was without asking.
Nitika blinked at the filly's bravery in stepping up to look at Kakashi wondering if those eyes carried a connection to one another. She'd seen many colored eyes in soquili but red was a first. Could that be what Kakashi let lie hidden under that headband... she wondered deeply though she knew it was something she'd never ask. Looking over at the colt in the basket she smiled at him, "Hey there little one. Are you going to come out and join your sister?" Her head shifted toward the last featherd with wings sleeping peacefully in her own little basket.
Turning toward Kakashi she smiled, "Any idea what we'll name them Kakashi? I like the name Kaedra from the little sleeper there." Again she focused on the deepness of the sea looking up at Kakashi. She seemed so much like him and yet more of her mother then anything.

Konoha just stared at the other soquili. Everything was so.. bright. And what was that soquili wearing? It was really shiny. Crawling out of his basket cautiously, Konoha approached his mother and stared up at her curiously. And who was this? She spoke too. The little colt wanted to reply but he didn't know what to say. He just looked around, wide eyed.
Staring at the little baskets in awe, Kakashi didn't know what to say. They were so beautiful. He could definitely see their resemblance and they were definitely their kids. Kakashi didn't even know what to say. "Wow..." Names. Oh god. Names were going to be so difficult. What would he name his children? It was so important. "Kaedra is a beautiful name." Looking at the other two quietly, Kakashi thought about possible names. "How about... Kunai for our little girl. And Konoha for the boy?" Wow, all three of them had names that started with a K. Interesting... "Do you think that's alright? And... I think I should give them some things... I hope you don't mind Nitika." Using his nose, Kakashi opened a small pouch on the front of his vest to reveal two small headbands and some kunai.
He pulled out the headbands and handed one to Nitika. Kakashi turned to Konoha and held it out wondering if the little foal would take it or not.

Kunai was curious of this larger figure that placed the same shiny thing on her head. He was similar to her and somehow she felt in tune to the older male. Not able to exactly speak yet she chirped with her head held high wearing daddy's present. So these were her parents she blinked with a smile. She was just like daddy after all. Watching her brother she hoped he'd accept the gift as well.
Nitika mused looking at the three with bright eyes. She was a mother, someone that had children of her own. Seeing them nearly wanted to make the mare cry with happiness. "I love those names Kakashi. They all start with a K as well. Its really creative... more then I could come up with I wonder hee hee." She mused looking at the filly he named Kunai noting those deep blood red eyes. Is that what you have hiding under that headband I wonder. Maybe that's why you hide your eye and won't tell anyone. Hmm I'd still love you anyway Kakashi no matter what you looked like.
She turned to watch the colt wondering how he'd react to Kakashi's gift like Kunai had. They were just so adorable and so cute in her eyes.

Staring at the shiny headband, Konoha felt like he was obliged to take it and he almost felt drawn to it. While his parents put it on him and dubbed their three children, Konoha felt... content. His first emotions. Looking at his sister, Konoha saw her receive a headband too. He wouldn't understand what it means until he was older.
The stallion nodded at Nitika. "Oh wow, their names all do start with K." Kakashi couldn't help but chuckle slightly at their name picks. These were... his children and with Nitika. He still wasn't sure on his feelings for her but she was definitely special to him and he did love her whether he wanted to admit it or not. "They're... cute." Kakashi really didn't use that word too much.

Her eyes shimmered with happiness as she tried the new shiny gift from her father. It felt odd though slipping down to one side covering her other crimson eye, blinking she tried to get the hang of it watching Kakashi carefully. Puffing out her cheeks she tried to make it stay still realizing it was just going to stay slanted. Amused she watched her bother then looked up at her mother. Why didn't she wear one too... the filly wondered blinking with one visible eye. She just accepted it and walked with her head held high she was wearing something from her daddy.
Nitika still watched them with her wide eyes though her attention was strictly upon the one she'd fallen for. Now Nitika knew that Kakashi wouldn't be the mushy sappy type to spew a thousand verses of how he loved her, but she was content he had simply stayed with her. She promised herself her love would be kept secret from her parents till the time was right. Someday they'd all know she was happy, but for now they would simply wonder about her. For now she was a mother of three and a family - what more could she have wished for she asked herself.
"Yes they are...hmm?" she turned her head in surprise with a soft smile, "There's a new word I've never heard you use before. She laughed with cheerful eyes feeling like he was opening up a little more. Turning back to the babies she sighed, "Now comes the fun part right? Teaching them how to become little ladies and a gentleman. Hmm Kunai seems an awful lot like you doesn't she?" It was true the filly looked a lot like her father compared to the other two. Was she going to grow just like him Nitika pondered.
