i work customer service at walmart. the last few weeks, we've been really busier then usual. yesterday i had to work the entire counter by myself for three hours, plus an additional hour and a half just to close it at night.
i have to keep that place clean and presentable, make sure cart loads of department returns and lay-arounds are separated and put back to their departments. while at the same time of handling customer returns and complaints. even with long lines, this can be done with some effort with two people. both get the lines down, and then one starts the clean up while the other maintains the line. everyone left early, and i was by myself. everyone else who was register trained was handeling the longs lines, even management. i can understand that we're busy and they need all the help they can get, but you can't leave service desk with just one person for the rest of the night. it can't be done. they had no one to close it up, so i had to stay past my time to leave just to do that, and they won't pay me the overtime for it. they will force me to leave work early next time i go back just so they won't pay me for the extra hour or so.

Or do you live in a small town thats to cursed by smallness to have anything?

Or do you live in a small town thats to cursed by smallness to have anything? the second one...but...but...but, wal-mart is pretty far from all the other stores in the area.

And cat food. at least you weren't one of the hundreds of people i see daily that go to the store to buy one item, get everything else and forget the item they went there for. xd
