Someone told me Azula has a mental breakdown later in the series...thoughts anyone?

oh, come on now, Azula pretty much IS a mental breakdown, she's just waiting to happen

Yeah, Azula's support base is slowly chipping away and she's losing just about everyone. A breakdown's coming. I even wrote a fic about it.

I dunno...have you seen the finale trailer? She looks pretty much on the verge of a breakdown to me...xD

Phoenix_17 dont see why she would have a mental breakdown when she thinks she is better then everyone. and also very evil i hate her so much spoilers! wahmbulance listen well! I have bought the book for the finale on amazon and got it today! she does go into a mental breakdown after her father rejects her and she begins to banish everyone from the fire nation. I have confirmed this. Also the showing of thier mother was simply a hallusenation.

well now everyone know, since the movie and all, i kind of saw it coming after her dad told her to stay in the firenation. i think it was also because she was getting so much power being the firelord that she just lost it (also she was kind of crazy since the begining)

I believe that she started to lose it once Mai and Ty Lee turned on her. She lost both of her "friends" and that's pretty much all she had.. And, of coarse, proceeded to go straight for Zuko and celebrate her being an only child, because she probably blamed him for Mai and Ty Lee's betrayal, understandably.

I agree on one point, I do agree that it all started with Mae and Tai Lee, but I think another part of it was becoming Fire Lord. You could see just by her face that when her father made her Fire Lord, it was like he was finally giving her the validation she never even knew she craved. It really just goes to illistrate how very young she is. Monster or not, evil or not, she's basically just a little girl. She's what, 14? That's a lot of pressure for a 14 year old and she cracked. As much as I disliked her, I really thought it was very sad. She's probably one of the most complex characters on the show and I had higher hopes for her.
Oh, sidenote, as coo as it looked, did anyone else feel really sad during Zuko's fight with her? There was this crazy desperation that just made me feel so.... down.

And slightly embarrassed for one of my favorite characters. And yeah, at fourteen, I could barely handle having to actually study in ninth grade, haha.

In the finale I think she did have a mental break down..after the agni kai with zuko she was going crazy. She was going mad with power. I thought it was the second best thing that happened in the finale.

Azula does loose her mind. Mai helps Zukko escape from the Boiling Rock and Azula sees her do it and tries to attack her but Tei Lee stops her and she bans them. Then when she is supposed to become Fire Lord she bans all her servants so she has no one to take care of her and she has to do her hair so she cuts it off and has a halucination of her mother. Then she fights Zukko and Katara and Katara chains her down and she acts like a wild animal trying to get away. SHE"S CRAZY!!!!!
